About Lindsey McIntyre
We live in Kenya, but the house is managed by Remi and his team and there is always someone on hand in case of any problem. I am a photographer/casting agent/interior designer amongst other things. My husband works for an NGO building schools and clinics in remote locations.
Lindsey McIntyre purchased this House in 2012
Why Lindsey McIntyre chose Ceret
We wanted to invest in something outside of Kenya. My sister and her family lives in Southern France and my in-laws live on the Costa Brava so we were keen to find somewhere in between. A friend mentioned Ceret and as soon as I googled it, I knew we had found the place we wanted to be. The minute I walked into the town, it fulfilled every romantic notion I had of the South of France. Close to the mountains, close to the sea, beautiful weather, close enough to a reasonably sized city and close to Spain - perfect.
What makes this House unique
I love the fact that the house is in a 16th century building right in the hub of the historic centre of town, yet is so modern inside. Coming from Africa, I love the fact that my children can go outside on their own any time of the day and go for a cake at a cafe or pop out to get croissants for breakfast. And Mum and Dad can top up our wine supply from a wonderful cave less than 15 metres away!
