Privileged location on the southwest coast of Madeira, where the highest number of sunshine hours on the island (average temperatures are between 18 ° C and 25 ° C). Quiet location, close to hiking trails, several beaches, including the artificial golden sand beach Calheta 5 minutes drive. Marina, bars, restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Description of the House of the Queen - Maximum 6 people: Typical Madeiran house, carefully decorated. Stone building, over 100 years old and completely renovated. Sea and mountain views. It has 3 bedrooms (2 with double bed and one with twin beds), 2 complete bathrooms with shower, one indoor and another outside, next to the barbecue. The living room is equipped with fireplace, cable TV and WI FI. The dining room and kitchen are fully equipped. Barbecue and gardens with exotic and endemic plants. Fantastic porch with about 40 m2 that offers a panoramic view of the sea, offering a unique and unforgettable sun.

Wonderful stay in Calheta

The house was just what we hoped for, a lot of space, clean and very well equipped. Outside there was a large terrace with an amazing view over the Atlantic. The owner did everything she could to make us comfortable. We can give the best recommendations.

Lieu de séjour parfait à Calheta

Maison au calme complet, a quelques minutes de la route principale ce qui permet d'accéder aux différents sites de l'île.2 belles chambres, salon, sale de sejour et cuisine dans un style ancien mais qui donnent tout leur cachet a ce lieu. Tres grande terrasse faite pour profiter lors des beaux jours .... nous n'avons qu'une fois pu y déjeuner compte tenu de la météo horrible en cette première semaine de Mai.Propreté impeccable, Vanda est disponible pour toute demande d'information et conseil lors du sejour via WhatsApp ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié.Prévoir pour accéder aux différents spots de Madère entre 45mn et 1h15 de trajet ; routes en très bon état mais vitesse limitée, nombreux tunels,... juste a savoir. Vous pouvez réserver cette location. Pas de mauvaise surprise !

Wunderschöner Blick aus Meer

Wir hatten tolle zwei Wochen auf Madeira und die "Casa da Rainha" ist wunderschön: Der weitläufige Außenbereich besticht durch einen tollen Garten und den fantastischen Blick aufs Meer, man kann großartige Sonnenuntergänge sehen. Wohn- und Esszimmer sind recht gemütlich (mit Kamin), mir haben das Schlafzimmer und Badezimmer oben auch sehr gut gefallen. Es war alles sehr sauber und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Etwas irritiert hat uns allerdings die Nähe zu einer vielbefahrenen Straße. Da jedoch der Schlaf davon nicht gestört war und man sich mit der Zeit dran gewöhnt hat, geben wir dennoch vier Sterne. Allerdings waren wir tagsüber meist unterwegs - um den westlichen Teil der Insel zu erkunden und um hier Wanderungen zu machen, ist Calheta ein super Ausgangspunkt! Empfehlenswert ist auch das Whale Watching - das Boot startet im Hafen von Calheta.

Belle maison

La casa da Raihna se situe à cinq minutes ( en voiture, qui est absolument indispensable ) de la plage de calheta et de la plage, plus sauvage, de Jardim do Mar. La maison est très coquette, très bien équipée, joliment meublée. La terrasse est spacieuse, fleurie et avec une superbe vue sur l'océan, sans oublié un grand barbecue. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable et tranquille. Madame Vanda, la propriétaire, est très soucieuse d'apporter une solution au moindre problème que vous pourriez rencontrer. Je recommande vivement cette maison.

Great family holiday in beautiful Casa da Rainha

We had absolutely lovely vacations with our 14-months-old daughter on Madeira in the beautiful Casa da Rainha. We spent nearly 3 weeks in February in this great house in Calheta. Located close to the city Center with shopping possibilities of Calheta, Casa da Rainha is just a 5 minutes drive up the mountains, the beautiful sand beach of Calheta again is only a 5 minute drive away. The house itself is very cosy and has got 4 beautiful teraces, so you can enjoy the sun at every moment of the day - and you get to see the sun quite often - even if the weather forecast is bad and most of the island is covered in clouds, Calheta obviously is quite a sunny spot! It is very quiet up there, and there is nothing like enjoying the sun set with a glass of wine on one of the teraces. The rooms are tidy, clean and comfortable. The fire place makes the living room very cosy when it is getting colder in the evenings and provides enough warmth for the ground floor; in the rooms in the first floor there are electric heatings, so we had no problems at all to keep it warm enough for our little daughter. The kitchen is very well equipped and so are the bathrooms. Mrs. and Mr. Goncalves were very friendly and helpful, and we were welcomed by a basket of fresh fruits and great Portuguese wine. Also, the directions from the Airport were very detailed and we had no problems finding the house. We would definitely recommend getting a rental car, because Calheta is quite a good spot for day trips to the southern coast, the mountains or even the northern coast. All in all, we had a wonderful time in Casa da Rainha and would strongly recommend this house to everyone who wants to spend relaxed vacations on this beautiful Island!!! Haus der Königin Cassa da Rainha

Casa da Rainha ist ein gemütliches Häuschen. Wir waren zu Viert und uns war die Küche sowie das Wohnzimmer zu klein. Natürlich ist dies auch Wetter abhängig. Wir hatten viel Regen und konnten darum die wunderschöne Terrasse und den Pool zu wenig nützen. Die Ausstattung ist gut durchdacht und es hat alles was man braucht. Wir haben den Aufenthalt schön gefunden.

Wundervoller Aufenthalt in liebevoll eingerichtetem Haus.

Wir haben 2 Wochen in Casa da Rainha verbracht und jeden Augenblick genossen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll und mit viel Detailliebe eingerichtet. Die Küche ist komplett. Es fehlte an nichts. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

"Casa da Rainha"ein traumhaftes Feriendomizil

Wir hatten drei wundervolle Urlaubswochen in diesem schönen und gepflegten Ferienhaus und konnten Madeira - die sagenhafte Insel im großen Ozean - in Ihrer Vielfalt, lieben und kennenlernen. Dazu beigetragen hat der freundliche Empfang der Eigentümer, Vanda und Carlos Goncalves, mit Früchen und Wein aus der Region. Zudem das liebevoll und perfekt eingerichtete Ferienhaus, das alle Wünsche erfüllt. Eigener Hauseingang, großzügige Terrasse mit Sitz- und Liegeplätzen und einem "herrlichen Meerblilk". Den beheizten Pool mit extra Pooldusche inkl. Waschmaschine, Außengrill, sowie der überdachte Freisitz mit Esstisch und variablem Windschutz, haben wir sehr genossen. Estreito da Calheta ist eine schöne Region für Sonnenanbeter, abseits vom Touristentrubel und doch zentral gelegen. Als Ausgangspunkt für die beliebten Berg-und Levadawanderungen in die atemberaubende Natur mit unzähligen Wasserfällen, sehr gut geeignet. Nur wenige Automin. entfernt, ist Calheta Beach mit dem großen Sandstrand Strandbars und dem Supermarkt "Pingo Doce" zu erreich. Frische Brötchen und Kleinigkeiten bekommt man in den vielen Minimercardos mit Bar und Café. Wichtig, einen wendigen Mietwagen mit ausreichend PS für die vielen Steilstraßen und unzähligen Tunnels. Wir freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen im Ferienhaus "Casa da Rainha", mit Vanda und Carlos. Estamos ansiosos para uma reuniau na "Casa da Rainha" Rainer und Monica

Schönes Haus in Sonnenlage

Ich schließe mich den Vorrednern an, die sich positiv geäußert haben und habe nur noch einige praktische Ergänzungen : Die Betten sind sehr gut und man kann nachts ruhig schlafen; den Verkehr hört man nachts auch bei geöffnetem Fenster nicht. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit allem, was man auch zu Hause hat; vor allem sind Teller/Tassen/Gläser/Besteck mehr als genug vorhanden. Die Spülmaschine funktioniert perfekt. In den Schlafzimmern gibt es eine gut funktionierende Heizung, die man abends im März auch braucht, weil es kalt wird, wenn die Sonne weg ist. Das Wohnzimmer lässt sich über den Kamin gut beheizen; Holz muss allerdings im Baumarkt besorgt werden in Funchal, das ist aber kein Problem. Das Wlan funktioniert super, man kann täglich die eigene Zeitung herunterladen und ist top informiert. Auch wegen der abendlichen Diskussion "wo gehen wir heute hin Abend zum Essen ?" ist tripadvisor mit sehr guten Tipps von Restaurants in der Nähe, die man so nie gefunden hätte, eine große Hilfe und über das Internet verfügbar. Es gibt inzwischen jede Menge TV-Kanäle in allen Sprachen, so dass auch das wichtige Fußballspiel (aus Berlin übertragen) gesehen werden konnte. Die diversen Terrassen sind mit mehreren Sitzgelegenheiten, je nach Sonnenstand, sehr angenehm und großzügig möbliert. Der vor dem unteren Anwesen befindliche (geheizte !) Pool konnte mitbenutzt werden, allerdings haben wir das nur gemacht, wenn die Reisegruppe nicht zu Hause war, weil sich der Pool direkt vor derem Wohnzimmer befindet; da die Gruppe aber ganztägig immer unterwegs war, war das auch kein Problem. Einkäufe können wenige Minuten vom Haus am Strand von Calheta im "Pingo doce" erledigt werden ( tgl. bis 22.00h, Ostersonntag aber nur bis 14.00h, also sehr stressfrei). Da die meisten Levadawanderungen eher im Ostteil der Insel liegen (Rother Wandeführer Madeira gibt es im Supermarkt für 12,90€ !), muss eine gewisse Anfahrt hingenommen werden, was aber bei dem sehr gut ausgebauten Straßen- und Tunnelsystem kein Problem ist, da Autofahren hier auch Spaß macht. Wir haben bei den Ausflügen über die Insel mehrfach festgestellt, dass bei der Rückkehr "in unser Haus" die Sonne schien, während woanders längst der Himmel zugezogen war. Das Haus liegt perfekt in einer "Sonnenecke" der Insel ! Fazit : Hier lässt sich entspannt ein Wander- und Relaxurlaub verleben.

en fantastisk bolig i smukke omgivelser

Min kone og jeg, som er pensionerede kan fortælle at annoncebeskrivelsen var fyldestgørende og at beliggenhed og indretning levede op til vores ønsker og behov. Boligen var tip top vedligeholdt og ren. Ejeren havde sørget for at vi modtog en kørevejledning fra lufthavnen til Casa da Rainha og ved ankomsten stod en stedfortræder for udlejeren og orienterede om brugen af ferieboligen. En virkelig god service, som vi satte megen pris på. Udendørs faciliteterne er usædvanlig smukke og vi havde samtidig det held at vejret var solrigt og varmt i den uge vi boede der. 5 stjerner til udlejeren, vores bedste anbefaling til familie og venner. med venlig hilsen Lisbeth og Ole Dinesen

Casa da Rainha, near Calheta. 15/12/15 to 5/1/16

A nice, clean, house with a good outlook and good sun exposure, in a convenient location for exploring the beautiful exotic island of Madeira. I think it is about 600 metres above sea-level. The owners are very friendly and speak English and other languages. It is equipped with all one might ever want, but it is marred a little by a noisy thin floor overhead, creaky beds and a hot-water system that needs upgrading. There is only one indoor toilet/shower-room (we did not use the outdoor one, but it might be useful in the summer). It overlooks the main road nearby and is adjacent to a fairly busy local road. There is a supermarket not far away, a car is essential. I recommend highly this property for people who prefer the country to the city.

Stilvolles Haus

Großes geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus abseits vom Massentourismus. Es war alles zweckmäßig eingerichtet und sehr sauber, es fehlte an nichts.Im Haus und unter der großen überdachten Terasse würde man auch gut ein paar Tage schlechtes Wetter aushalten ( wir hatten nur schönes Wetter).Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen auf der ganzen Insel und der Badestrand in Calheta ist mit dem Auto in 10 Minuten zu erreichen.Sehr nette unkomplizierte Vermieter. Wir können dieses Haus vorbehaltlos empfehlen.

Traumhaus

Wir waren das erste Mal auf Madeira. Das Wetter war wirklich sehr nass. Wir haben trotzdem viel unternommen. Die Casa war dabei ein idealer Ausgangspunkt. Wir waren schon im Netz verzaubert von diesem Haus und stellten fest, dass es genau so ist. Jeden Abend haben wir den Sonnenuntergang über dem Meer bewundert- leider auch den durch Gewitterwolken bizarren Wolkenhimmel. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was das Herz begehrt. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und zuhause. Mrs. Gonzalves war äußerst fürsorglich und immer ansprechbar. Sie hat sich sogar bei uns gemeldet, weil sie sich Sorgen machte, ob des schlechten Wetters und unseres Wohlergehens. Wenn wieder Madeira, dann auf jeden Fall die Casa Rainha!

Prachtig huis

Een geweldig verblijf in een riant huis! Casa da Rainha is een volledig, comfortabel en schoon huis. De eigenaars zijn vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Het huis is een prima vertrekpunt voor mooie wandelingen in de bergen of een uitstapje naar het strand of de hoofdstad. Vanaf de verschillende terrassen rond het huis is het uitzicht over de oceaan adembenemend. Heerlijke restaurants bij de haven van Calheta. We keren zeker terug naar Madeira!

Quiet get-away yet close to the beach

The Casa da Rainha is a great and quiet get-away, up in the mountains above Calheta, yet close to the town. in less than 5 minutes you can reach the beautiful Calheta beach, supermarket, restaurants etc. The Casa itself has been carefully restored with respect for the traditional style of the house; it is spacious and offers everything you need for a relaxed holiday.There are terraces almost around the house so you can catch every bit of sun (or shadow) you want. We especially appreciated the little herb and vegetable garden that we were invited to use.

Wunderschönes Urlaubsdomizil

Wir hatten vom 28.02. - 28.03.2015 dieses schöne Haus ausgesucht und gebucht. Die angegebene Beschreibung entspricht den tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten. Bei Übernahme war alles sauber und ordentlich. Die Vermieter sind hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns gleich zuhause gefühlt und können das Haus mit Überzeugung weiterempfehlen. Die Insel bietet viele Wandermöglichkeiten für jedes Alter. Ein Auto ist sehr hilfreich. Dem Vermieter sagen wir nochmals herzlichen Dank!

Beautiful house and garden with a great sea view

The house is located on a beautiful spot and is just perfect in his own way. All you need is available in and around the house. Also is the in- and exterior of the house of a very high level. It was our first stay in Madeira and surely it will not be our last. The couple who own this house are very friendly and helpful. The made our stay even more perfect as the whole Island did, Hopefully we can stay here again very soon. .

everything was really good. The owners even installed a small heater in one of the bedrooms, which does not seem to be that common on Madeira. Thanks again for letting us stay at your house!

Urlaub in der Casa der Rainha

Wir haben zwei wunderbare Wochen auf Madeira verbracht und die Casa da Rainha hat absolut dazu beigetragen. Sehr schön ist der Blick von den diversen Terrassen des Hauses auf das Meer und den Garten und man findet fast immer einen schönen Sonnenplatz. Wir wurden bei der Ankunft sehr freundlich durch die Vermieter empfangen, welche uns ausführlich das Haus gezeigt haben. Das Haus ist in einem sehr guten Zustand, sehr sauber und durch die private Nutzung der Vermieter auch entsprechend persönlich eingerichtet. Insgesamt bietet das Haus ausreichend Platz für bis zu vier Personen. Da wir im Winter da waren, wurde es abends kühler und es bedurfte eines Feuers im Kamin, damit das Wohnzimmer warm wurde, da keine Heizung vorhanden ist. Aber hier stellen die Vermieter auch einen ausreichend großen Holzvorrat. Zudem ist das Haus im Untergeschoss etwas Dunkel, was im Sommer sicherlich vorteilhaft, weil kühlend ist, im Winter wünscht man sich hier etwas mehr Licht.

Merveilleux

Magnifique villa idéalement située sur l'île.Les propriétaires Carlos et vanda très sympathiques et accueillants.La villa est parfaite, tout équipée, jolie décoration, on s'y sent très bien,on a passé un séjour merveilleux à madere. sur cette île on oublie tout, on est juste bien dans un environnement magnifique et paisible
