Why Anna Disley chose Brixham
I love the location of Elkins Cottage situated high above Brixham Harbour giving great views across the bay to Torquay. It provides a great base for exploring South Devon and all it's wonderful amenities whether it's going into Exeter for some retail therapy or spending the day beachcombing to hiking across Dartmoor.
What makes this House unique
Elkins Cottage is an original fisherman's cottage built in the 1860s, it has all the features and warmth of a cottage along with plenty of space for a number of friends and family to stay comfortably along with a pretty terraced garden with room to entertain the holiday troops.

Lovely little break away 😁
Nice little home 😊
A bijoux cottage overlooking Brixham harbour
We had a lovely week in Brixham staying at Elkins Cottage. The place was well looked after and thoughtfully decorated. With a lovely bottle of bubbles to welcome us. The bedrooms were good and spacious. A downstairs toilet in addition to the one bathroom would have been an improvement, although not sure where you would put it. Steep road outside with steep walking paths into the centre of town. Also dog friendly, which we appreciated.
There was a bit of a blip when we got to the cottage but Anna sorted it straight away. The cottage itself is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay there. It is on a hill so not for anyone with mobility issues but it does mean you have incredible views over the harbour. Loved it and would definitely recommend it.
We had a fantastic few days, Brixham is lovely and the house beautiful
We enjoyed our stay immensely, the house has everything you need, and with Brixham centre a few steps away it is an ideal location. If I had to make one observation a second toilet would be great!!
We will return
Long weekend in Brixham
We came down for the Torbay Half Marathon and needed somewhere for 5 adults to stay. I found this property on the internet, and after a bit of research decided to stay. From the moment we walked in we could see that the owner took pride in the property. The house was clean and tidy, and immediately felt like home. In fact my wife and I felt that we could happily live in this house. The property is situated on a steep hill, so not for the faint hearted. However, the views more than make up for this. There was plenty of room for us. The only downside from our point of view was that there was only one bathroom. It's been a few years since I was last in Brixham and its clear that a lot of work has been done to improve the town. We had a great weekend and would defiantly stay at Elkins cottage again.
Beautiful house, central to town and fabulous views
We stayed here to enjoy the utterly eccentric and brilliant Pirate Festival! The house was beautifully decorated, hugely comfortable and had every comfort you’d ever need. From a huge number of glasses, crockery, kitchen utensils, fluffy towels, board games, soap, DVD’s and town is just a 2 minute walk away. Waking up to a view of the harbour in the sunshine was just lovely.
