Just had a fabulous, relaxing week away from it all in the most beautiful, remote location with stunning views. The cottage was so homely and well equipped. Josephine (the owner) was very welcoming and helpful. Thank you so much.

We had a great stay in Far View Cottage even though the weather wasn't good for some of the time.
We had a great stay in Far View Cottage even though the weather wasn't good for some of the time. Beautiful cottage in stunning location. Tall visitors may struggle in the bathroom with the low ceiling and beam, but it was fine for us. Lovely enclosed garden, which our dog enjoyed. Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again.

Excellent stay in the South Pennines, with walks right from the door, very good hosts. Well appointed property, ample wood supplied for fire, comfy bed and wonderful deep stand alone bath, which was much needed after a day walking the local moors.

Clean, cosy, lovely decor, well appointed.
Clean, cosy, lovely decor, well appointed. In the middle of October we didn't need the wood-burning stove, and we had to remove the duvet because we found the bed too warm!! Owners were friendly and obliging, they have obviously spent a great deal of time and money - and put a lot of thought into - renovating the place. Nothing at all to criticise about the cottage.
The guest book is full of comments from people returning multiple times, or planning to return, which is always a good sign.
Very peaceful location, with walks starting from the door, and stunning views. As long as you take all the food you're likely to need for your stay (the nearest supermarket we found was a 15 minute drive), you can park the car and forget it until it's time to return home.
If you like self-catering farmhouse holidays, you'll love Far View Cottage.
