Casa do Jardim- Silves- Charming House

Our house is in Silves, a city of unusual beauty, with 9 centuries of history, visible everywhere. The "Casa do Jardim", as we call it, has charm, history, soul and a wealth of Portuguese cultural heritage, which allows it to be unique. It has the beauty and the comfort desirable to dream, to travel and to experience, in an agreeable and cozy environment shared by old and other pieces of great contemporaneity. Our house has been in the same family for more than 100 years and for this reason has an ethnographic heritage that allows visitors to visit the Portuguese heritage. It allows in a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment to know the identity of a people through the ages. Older pieces share the space with others of great contemporaneity and tell story, inviting to dream. Our guests often tell us that our home has soul and that is the best compliment they can give us. Our house is located in a pleasant square - Largo das Mártires da Pátria, where there is a statue in front of the "Casa do Jardim", built in honor of those who made the history of Silves many centuries ago, in the conquest of Silves to the Moors, in 1189. At the top of the Largo, where abundant leafy jacaranda trees, which when blooming are of rare beauty, is a small church from the sec. It is a quiet and tranquil neighborhood, overlapped by some storks that also chose it to inhabit. A small grocery store (at 50m), from the neighborhood, offers the purchase of fresh bread, good fruit and vegetables and everything else that did not come in the big basket. The proximity to the Municipal Garden, where are the schools gave the name to this house, by designation that came from the past. The Casa do Jardim has a direct and very fast access either to enter Silves or to go to the city center, which is done on foot, traveling 200m from a single street. Silves is served by buses and trains to all locations in the Algarve, or even Lisbon. The bus stop is 250m from the house and the train station, which is 2km from the city, can be reached by bus or with the hosts who will be available to do so. In addition, we have a taxi or transfer service, agreed with best prices for our guests.
