IMPORTANT:- FOR STAYS LESS THAN 31 NIGHTS, THE CITY OF HB REQUIRES HOSTS TO COLLECT A 16% TAX.

Retreat to a historic Spanish Colonial Beach Bungalow on Main Street with (an 8 minute walk) proximity to the beach, pier, Pacific City, restaurants, pubs, cafes, surf shops and nightlife.

This property has 2 entrances, a front porch on Main Street and a back porch on Palm Ave.

The main house consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a formal dining room, fully stocked kitchen (with modern appliances and a Wedgewood stove), and an entertaining living room with wood burning fireplace and smart TV. It has beautiful wood floors throughout and lots of organic lighting.
The 3 bedrooms consists of 2 Master Suites, one with a queen bed and one with 2 full beds, and bedroom 3 has a twin day bed, built-in shelving and a window seat.
Both the Master Bathroom and Bathroom 2 have been renovated with new plumbing, tile and fixtures. The Master bath is spacious and has a separate tub in addition to the shower. Bathroom 2 is private and has a walk-in shower.

The Guest unit upstairs - has an open landing with a kitchenette, bedroom 4, bathroom 3, a spacious walk-in closet and bedroom 5 (office). Bedroom 4 is like a master suite with a queen bed, 2 large corner windows, table and chair, and an antique mantel surrounding a charming stove like wall heater. The ensuite bathroom #3 has a ball and claw foot tub and shower combination. Bedroom 5 (or office) has a trundle daybed, if used as a bedroom it shares bathroom 3.

PRICED SEPARATELY UPON REQUEST - if available the additional 2BR 1BA Guest unit downstairs - has a studio/bedroom 6 with a twin daybed, kitchen, bedroom 7, walk-in closet and bathroom 4. Bedroom 7 is private and has a full size bed nestled in a cozy arched alcove. Bath 4 has been renovated with new plumbing and fixtures and has a walk-in shower.

There are 2 sets of washer/dryer on the property, one situated in the common Hall Closet and the other in the garage.

A tranquil courtyard leads to the garage and is centered between the main house and the guest units. The guest units can be accessed through an internal common hall from the main house or a separate exterior porch entrance on Palm Ave.

Free street parking on Main street at the front of the property and on Palm Avenue at the back of the property. Garage available upon request.

I love the ocean, sun and sand, and the beach lifestyle. I enjoy watching sunsets over the Pacific, taking long walks on the beach, going downtown to my favorite shops, cafes or ice cream parlors and attending yoga and pilates classes. My career as a residential interior designer allows me to be creative, I design and remodel coastal homes in OC and have a passion for old architecture and renovating historic homes.
I am offering my home for couples, families and business travelers who share my interests and passion for historic homes and enjoyment of the beach lifestyle.

I fell in love at first sight with this Spanish Colonial Beach Bungalow. Its simple style reminds me of the Moorish Mediterranean houses in Southern Europe where I originally come from. I treasure the amazing craftsmanship details of the 1930s including the original double hung windows, archways, hardwood floors, large picture window at the front and the original terra cotta roof. Over the past 25 years, it has been a work in progress as I have been renovating it back to its original beauty. I have enjoyed many peaceful moments sitting at the patio looking at the flower and fruit gardens surrounding it. It's a perfect place for having coffee in the morning, or relaxing with a glass of wine after a long day at the beach.


O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

This house has been carefully restored and preserved to its original beauty. The existing hard wood floors were uncovered and refinished. Over the past four years, I have worked with the city of Huntington Beach to renovate all the bathrooms and update all new amenities like electrical, plumbing and mechanical. It is now as functional as it is beautiful.

Also a new addition (the Mother-in-laws quarter) was recently completed using preserved 1930s windows and doors identical to the original. This addition has added 3 more bedrooms and 2 more bathrooms to the main house, making it ideal for large families or groups who need a big enough space to get together.

Groups of 5 or smaller who have not requested the additional mother-in-law quarters will only have access to the main house.

Groups larger than 5 who request and pay for the additional mother-in-law quarters will have access to the main house and mother in law quarters.

Groups smaller than 5 who request the mother-in-law quarters and agree to pay for it separately upon reservation can also have the same .

To ensure availability of the main house and mother in law quarters simultaneously it is best to request and book both at the same time. Thank you
