About MariAlice & Mike Lindig
Mike is a retired geologist & Marialice is an art teacher in Houston, Texas. We love to travel up to Colorado to stay in the house, too. We enjoy hiking all around the area. Mike just thru-hiked the entire Appalachian Trail in 7 months.
MariAlice & Mike Lindig purchased this Cabin in 2011
Why MariAlice & Mike Lindig chose Fraser
We used to own a house in Ruidoso, NM - but the snow for Ski Apache was unpredictable. We always get snow at Winter Park - and Mike & our grown children all love to ski. We also wanted more mountain streams and hiking trails. Having 70 acres adjoining our 5 acres is amazing - we can't see any other homes from our home either.
What makes this Cabin unique
Our cabin is in a neighborhood which has very few homes built in it. Our property is 5 acres and we join a 70 acre area owned by the Denver water board - and that property cannot be built on. We enjoy hiking all over the area.

100% The Best Cabin for the $$$
I have stayed in this cabin more than a dozen times and have found it to be absolutely amazing. The 5 acre homesite abuts to a 70 acre track that provides exceptional privacy with wonderful views. The master bedroom mattress is not very comfortable.
Beautiful Log Cabin
Loved this cabin. Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to vacation in the Rocky Mountains. The views of the wildlife from the living room windows is something we will never forget.
MariAlice's property is amazing! You feel incredibly secluded and yet we were less than 15 mins from Trestle Bike Park in WP. MariAlice is incredibly responsive and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again!
The cabin is beautiful, comfortable & well stocked. The location is far enough away to feel away from it all but very close to town for eating out & shopping. The property the cabin sits on is spectacular, beautiful views surround you. We were lucky enough to see deer, a moose & an antelope. The hosts are very nice also. My only con is the bed in the master, not the most comfortable. But I would return again to see the views.
The property was perfect, not too far from local city/dining/shops, but far enough for privacy. We live on acreage and are used to the quiet nature brings and this is very much the same except with mountain views in every direction. The home was very clean and perfectly sized for a family of 7. Original plan was to bring our dog but at the last minute a friend offered to keep her so we could have the freedom to roam, but the haggle free option to bring her was priceless. Thank you for allowing our family to enjoy your home and for accepting pets without the fiery hoops families normally have to go through to bring their extended "family." If ever in town again this is our go to place.
Amazing home and property with plenty of privacy
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is beautiful and well-appointed with ample room for everyone. Though we were just a party of 5, I believe the home could sleep 10 comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, etc, and there were plenty of towels for all of us. These 2 items are usually what is lacking in other rentals, but again this property had plenty.
We were taken aback at the sheer beauty of the surrounding landscape. Had there not been so much snow prior to and during our arrival, we could have easily spent much of our time just exploring the areas around the cabin. The owners were very responsive when we needed to get a snow plow to clear the driveway (multiple times). There was more snow than anyone expected during our trip!
I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the Winter Park area, but be away from the crowds. If we can manage to make it back next year, we'll surely request to book again!
