My husband and I stayed here for a month. It's only a 2-minute walk to the shuttle taking you to winter park resort. It also has lovely mountain views, especially from the loft area (which strangely has a futon facing away from the view, so I folded that up and put my portable desk there, facing the view--much better use of the space). The house is spacious, and the hot tub was an added bonus.

This is a great house. It is very well laid out with plenty of room for entertaining and for sleeping. It’s in a great location and very well lit. The host is very responsive and overall it was an excellent experience.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ryan’s lodge—truly a 5-star experience from start to finish!The accommodation itself is lovely, with a cozy, inviting atmosphere that made our group feel right at home after a day on the slopes. The host communication was outstanding—responsive, helpful, and thoughtful every step of the way, which made planning and check-in seamless.We traveled with a group of eight, and we were thrilled to find eight beds already made up and ready upon arrival—no extra setup required, which was a huge plus for a big party like ours.The location couldn’t have been better. It’s perfectly situated for easy access to both the resort slopes and nearby shopping, so we never had to drive far for anything we needed.Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped ski getaway with great hospitality. The host went above and beyond to make our stay the best. The kitchen was so well stocked! We had everything we needed plus more! The hot tub was amazing. It was 2 degrees outside and snowing but you couldn’t even feel it while sitting inside the tub. The house was beautiful inside and out. Perfect location, close to all amenities. Very very cold outside with temps feeling negative at times but the cabin was so toasty and comfy. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again. Also, we were a group of 12 and there was adequate space plus some for everyone.

Perfect Ski Retreat

The property was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs. The hot tub made for great relaxation after a day on the slopes. We would stay here again.

Perfect Ski Cabin

We really enjoyed the cabin in Fraser. The location was perfect. The layout extremely convenient. The host was extremely responsive and we worked through a couple of minor issues very easily. We'd love to stay there again.

The house overall was great, however we were very excited to use the hot tub and were incredibly disappointed when we opened up the cover to see a lot of mold. (see pictures). The water did not look like it had any chemicals put in to keep the water clean either. I really wish the hot tub was clean and usable but it unfortunately was not.

Ryan and Tracy's house was exceptionally clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Ryan was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay and we were very impressed overall. We would absolutely stay here again.

Loved the Sunset Chalet!

We had an amazing stay at the Sunset Chalet. Everything was as advertised, and Ryan was an excellent host! Beautiful view of the mountains and so close to Winter Park ski resort. We had a fabulous time and will be back! I already sent my friend the information for this place since they are planning a trip to Winter Park as well! Until next time!

Beautiful house and great hosts

This house sleeps a lot of people but still has the coziness of a cabin. It is just like in the pictures. Perfect for groups or for family gathering. The hosts are amazing. Very responsive and easy to work with.

Great mountain home!

This was our second time staying at the Sunset Chalet - we had previously spent a weekend here in the winter for skiing. It was just as great in the summer! Plenty of space for our group, great views, clean hot tub, fantastic location. Ryan and Tracy were so accommodating and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

The only negative would be that the beds really aren't that comfortable. Other than that, the place was perfect for us. The ski bus pick-up being about 20 yards away from the house was really helpful.

After staying in the Winter Park/Fraser area many times, renting condos and houses, we decided we wanted a place of our own that would fit our family of 6 along with another small family.

We love the location in Fraser above the Safeway and on the bus route. This location allows us to catch the bus to the ski area just one block up the street. We built the house to match what we consider to be a traditional ski chalet, with high vaulted wood ceilings, wood burning stove, great room, three bedrooms (one with bunks), and a small deck out back with a hot tub.
