Summary:

Part of Nalu Nosara, a family-owned boutique property with 5 luxury villas, each with its own saltwater pool, parking, playground/ninja course, and full-time guard. On-site studio offers yoga, HIIT, TRX, martial arts & more—guests get 50% off classes ($10). Located in the heart of Guiones, a 5-min walk to surf, restaurants & shops, yet tucked on a quiet street.



The Space:

This is a brand new villa with 2 bedrooms and 2 bath. Each one of the bedrooms has the option to be set up as 1 king or 2 twins for your convenience. The living room has 2 daybeds to accommodate 2 more people if you'd like. Crib and highchair is available upon request. Enjoy a hanging day bed hanging from the trees by the pool!



All the bedrooms and living/kitchen area have wall to wall sliding glass doors so you can open them up and enjoy open air living. You have your own private pool with tropical gardens around for privacy. There are hammocks and lounge chairs on all the decks so you can really relax into the pura vida lifestyle.



Guest Access:

The property has a playground for kids of all ages.

We also have a studio on site that offers public classes for adults and kids like yoga, Muay Thai kickboxing, TRX, etc.



The Neighborhood:

Nalu Nosara is tucked away on a small street called Calle Los Mangos where we have lots of mango trees and howler monkeys (that like to eat them). At the same time, we are right in the heart of Playa Guiones which is the main part of Nosara. We are just a 5 minute walk to the beach or the restaurants, bar, and stores.



We have a skate park down the street where kids and adults can hang out, skate, grab a drink and enjoy amazing brunch on weekends.



Getting Around:

You can easily walk to the beach, surf, surf shops to rent a board, restaurants, bars, and a mini-super to buy groceries. You can also rent an ATV or golf cart to get to some places further away, plus it's a fun way to get around. If you'd like to rent a car, there are several car agencies in town or you can just rent a car from the airport and then have the car for your stay.

We have a full time concierge that is available for our guests before and during their stay. We can help book airport transfers, tours, spa treatments, and suggest for things to do and see.

Perfect villa

Fantastic villa with great location! The staff was very helpful and on top of any small thing that crept up. The fitness studio is great for classes, the little pool is lovely. We would stay again!

Awesome spot right in the heart of guiones

This place was the best of both worlds. It was on a nice quiet street, but was easy walking distance to almost anywhere in town. Modern design, super comfortable, everything we could have needed. Steven was always around and very helpful with anything we needed. We also had a chef come each morning to prepare breakfast, which was amazing. Maria made healthy and very good food and snacks for our whole picky eating family!

Beautiful home, great location, amazing garden with a pool.

We enjoyed our stay at this property.The house was very bright, cheerful and clean. The showers that opened to the outdoors were amazing. It was a great location and walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. The garden was relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed classes at the yoga studio each day. They had a nice varity of type of classes available.

A stunning home, with an unmatched design. Kids loved the private plunge pool. A surprising amount of privacy, while reasonably close to restaurants in town. Alfredo provided security and a daily smile. Catching a yoga class in the adjacent studio was a highlight. Steve was welcoming and was able to unlock the safe for our use. Thoughtful inclusion of detergent for the full size washer and dryer and dishwasher. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Amazing villa near to great beaches

The villa is stunning, open plan, luxurious with outdoor showers, plunge pool and swing in the garden. It is secluded and quiet yet walking distance to beautiful beaches. We liked Playa Pelada for our kids. We had some wonderful food and saw lots of interesting birds and plants. Mariya was super helpful arranging things both before and during our stay. Highly recommended.

Almost Too Good

Although we’ve been to Nosara and other parts of Costa Rica over the years, Nalu is a highlight. The location is perfect, a short walk to local restaurants and shops, quiet without feeling isolated. A short walk to the beach too because there’s nothing right on the beach in Nosara, and that’s tremendous as it ensures a natural and communal shared beach, not a row of condos and hotels. The property itself is thoughtfully laid out ensuring privacy and wonderful garden spaces. We were greeted by howler monkeys more than one morning!. The private plunge pools are ideal. The units themselves are tasteful and spacious, easily accommodating family, or couples travelling together. They are surprisingly well equipped making it easy to eat in when you choose to. There’s a tiny amount of noise that spills over from the studio, but in a motivating and enticing way that makes you want to participate even if that wasn’t in your plan. Mariya, Steve, and Laura were great. Flexible on our weather delayed arrival, helpful with suggestions and the offers to organize activities (we were in full relax mode though). Laura’s surf lessons were the best that I’ve had. We’re already discussing who to talk into joining us on a return trip. Looking forward to seeing you all again!!

A perfect getaway...

We found Nalu on VRBO and loved the property so much we based our family’s trip around staying there. We were traveling with our two kids age 9 and 6 so we wanted a vacation that was both comfortable but also adventurous. Staying at Nalu gave us the ability to arrive, instantly decompress and enjoy their stunning property and then to venture out and explore Nosara which was amazing. Nalu was meticulously maintained and we had every creature comfort needed. Our kids loved the salt water pool, outdoor shower,ropes course, howler monkey spottings and the kids dance class they participated in at the Nalu gym facility which had great programming. Mariya helped us with some restaurant recommendations and there were so many fantastic meals we had in the area. Unfortunately didn’t get to try Domel’s Muay Thai Kickboxing class, but Steve did arrange for us to have surf lessons with Laura which was a highlight. There was so much to do within walking distance, but we had our own car which gave us freedom to explore a bit further and we loved the amazing beaches along the coast. Ziplining at Miss Sky was also a highlight as well as meals (multiple) at La Luna Restaurant and the stunning beach there. Thank you for creating this special place. We will be back and highly recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful, well thought out villa.

Mariya and her husband have done an impeccable job with NALU. It has everything you need in a two bedroom house, with great understated style. We have been to Nosara many times over the last six years and obviously love it. We have stayed in many different homes, big and small, modern and more classic. NALU has just the right amount of warmth and a whole lot of class without pretense. We loved our stay and will return for sure. Thank you Mariya!

Wonderful setting in Nosara / Playa Guiones

Beautifully appointed and designed villa with fantastic landscaping. Close walk to the beach, restaurants, and stores. Open concept worked great for our family and we really enjoyed the pool after being on the beach all day. Just a nice/chill/peaceful vacation where we enjoyed the wonderful beach, people, jungle, and surrounding area. Great wifi, sat TV, appliances, water, and AC for those of you that still need the comforts of the modern world. Great studio on site for yoga, kick boxing, TRX, and more. And the owners are available to help with any needs. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic modern design in quintessential Costa Rican beach town

This was our first visit to Costa Rica so we relied heavily on advice from friends that been down before as well as online reviews. We stayed almost exclusively in independently owned properties and had a great experience in Costa Rica. Given it was our first visit, we also drove around the country and stayed in a few separate locations including near Jaco, La Fortuna and lastly Nosara/Guiones which was our favorite. Mariya and Domel - thank you for your hospitality. What they have created at NALU is incredible and highly functional not to mention very relaxing and comfortable. Our hosts were extremely friendly and communicative. We very much enjoyed our stay in their modern, Dwell design-inspired 3-bedroom house and our two boys (ages 10 & 8) thoroughly enjoyed the private pool. The house had tons of flowing open space, was equipped with everything you might need, and was very clean. NALU's on-site workout studio was also quite impressive and the overall vibe was welcoming and engaging. The property itself is centrally located and walkable to the fantastic Playa Guiones beach and several great eating spots and market. If we weren't on the beach or hanging out by the pool, we spent our time exploring the area on ATVs and many other potential activities available to us. We would definitely visit Nosara/NULA again and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!

The perfect vacation home

This was our second trip to Costa Rica but first time to Guiones. Our family of four, including two children, aged 11 and 9, stayed in one of Nalu Nosara's private, two bedroom, villas for a week. My husband and I were blown away by the beauty of Nalu's property, decor and design. Every detail was so well planned and executed in thinking of the wants and needs of a vacationer. My children were enamored with the fabulous swings and climbing course behind the villa in addition to the basket swing and hammocks that were in all corners of the home. We all loved jumping into our very own plunge pool first thing in the morning and late at night. Making meals and smoothies in a well equipped kitchen was a delight! The indoor/outdoor showers were heavenly and even motivated my children to want to shower! Navigating around Guiones was a breeze. We walked to the beach and various restaurants every day while being serenaded by howler monkeys. We always felt safe and found locals to be so friendly. Nalu's owners, Mariya and Domel, were so lovely, warm, and welcoming. They gave us many wonderful suggestions and recommendations on what to see and where to eat. It was comforting to have them close by. I highly recommend staying here, I know we would love to return again and again!

Beautiful Villa, great location!

We just returned from a fantastic stay at Nalu Nosara. We rented a 2bed/2bath villa for 2 couples - it was spacious and beautifully designed/decorated and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It has a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and the bed rooms have great A/C units. We especially loved the lighted plunge pool and the beautifully landscaped grounds. There is a very relaxing 'pod' swing on the side porch near the pool. The villas are within walking distance of everywhere you'd want to go in Playa Guiones - restaurants, shops, the beach, etc. We didn't drive our car at all while staying there. Mariya is an excellent host - she really knows the area well and has great recommendations for restaurants, shops, surfboard rentals, etc. We will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit!

Perfect for families

Our family of four loved our stay at Nalu. The pool and park for the kids, yoga studio for me, and generous support from Mariya and Domel to plan our days made this a wonderful vacation. Now, we are planning a return trip for just my husband and I! We were lucky to have stayed at Nalu within its first few months of business. Our only fear is that it will quickly become so popular that we won't be able to return!

Perfect place to stay in perfect location

Great villa - we are family of four - two adults and two teenage boys. The villa had everything we needed and was located in the center of the town. It was easy to walk to beach, restaurants, shops, etc. We were able to park our car inside their gate and felt very safe the whole time. The workout area was handy and offered a great variety of classes. So nice to exercise in the middle of the jungle with nice fans circulating the air. All in all a GREAT vacation. Can't wait to go back!

We are a couple from New York City that kept coming to visit Nosara to get away and enjoy some warm water surf and yoga classes in the jungle. Each time our visits kept getting longer and longer. We always dreamt about moving to Nosara, but that seemed impossible! We had our first child in New York, but barely had the opportunity to spend any quality time with her because of our demanding jobs and long hours. So by the time we had our second kid, we decided to take the leap. We took a 9 month trial run living in Nosara and by the end of the first month, we decided we are never moving back. We only went back to New York to sell everything we had. Here we are three years later, full time residents of Nosara, loving life and enjoying time with our family in the sun and surf! This year we welcomed our newest baby, Nalu Nosara, we wanted to create a place where families and friends can stay, where you feel safe and relaxed, where you can live a healthy lifestyle, and where kids can run free. So we hope you come stay with us and sure enough, we will try to persuade you to move down here too...

What makes this property unique

We love this place because we had the opportunity to create it from scratch. We were also lucky enough to work with a world-renown architect, Benjamin Garcia Saxe, who designed these beautiful unique homes in the heart of Guiones.

You can walk to surf, to all the restaurant and the shops. Each villa has its own private pool so you can enjoy the privacy of your own home or come socialize with others at the playground or at the fitness studio, where we offer public classes like yoga and kickboxing. So you don't have to go far to enjoy everything Nosara has to offer.
