FeatherNest on the Lake is a cozy and charming 1-bedroom, 1-bath, 750 sq. ft. cabin that comfortably sleeps 3 guests. Located just across the street from Big Bear Lake, it offers stunning 180-degree views and access to a seasonal private dock (available mid-April through mid-September). Designed as the perfect stress-free escape, this serene retreat encourages you to unplug and reconnect—with each other and with nature.

There’s no TV, phone, or internet here—just the peaceful sounds of waves lapping the shore, the sight of waterfowl in flight, and panoramic vistas of the lake, mountains, and forest. (Your cell phone will still work just fine!)

Step inside the newly updated cabin and be greeted by cheerful lake-themed décor and beautiful pine ceilings. The living room features a cozy fireplace, comfy chair, and a sleeper sofa, as well as a second seating area positioned perfectly for reading or simply soaking in the scenery.

The equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up meals after a day of lakeside fun. Enjoy your food at the indoor dining table with lake views, or step outside onto the fabulous second-story deck and dine al fresco with the sights and sounds of nature all around.

Bed linens were sandy and had to brush sand out of bed our first night

The cabin and location are excellent, the advanced info and check-in, good. When notifying property owner Laurel after my trip via her direct email about the dirt conditions, she never replied. However, when submitted through the VRBO site about the bed and other dirty conditions, I asked for a cleaning fee refund and the reply was, "if you would have contacted us about your issues while you were there we would have gladly taken care of them. We have never had any complaints in the past so this was new to us." Aside from the poor customer care regarding the issue, we had a great trip.

Awesome lake view

We had a great time in this cozy cabin. The view of the lake was fantastic and we were within easy driving distance of Big Bear Lake City. We enjoy hiking and there are many trails to enjoy here. We recommend this cabin very highly!

Love it

Everything was perfect, the cabin was nice and clean. We found a little sled in the backyard, it was fun going down the hill. We didn’t have to go tubing ☺️. The lake view was beautiful in the morning and in the evening. The only down side to this cabin is the location, it was hard to turn into the driveway. All the cars drives fast on that street, even when we had our signal light to turn. It was also hard to back out of the drive way because of the fast cars driving on that street. Other then that, we loved the cabin 😄.

Beautiful lake view

If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet time at Big Bear Lake, PLUS an unobstructed view of the lake, look no more, because you’ve found it. This a a beautiful property, it’s very clean, it’s updated, with lots of blankets, it’s got everything you need. No TV, but honestly, during our stay here, there was absolutely no need for such distraction. It was lovely to get up before sunrise and being able to sit on the balcony and watch every second of the sunrise right across the lake. I truly recommend this property. The only noise you’ll get is from the birds chirping in the morning. We very much enjoyed spending time outside on the balcony during the afternoon and have a snack and some reading and studying. We are looking forward to come back and stay here. A very special thanks to the owners for keeping the property in well maintained conditions and making such a memorable wekend getaway. Look no more, STAY HERE!

Clean little place on the lake.

It was perfect for my family to get away for a quiet weekend. The lake view was a treat and the fireplace finished the ambience. We will definitely visit again.

GORGEOUS VIEW!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our romantic weekend getaway in your perfect little cabin! It was clean and cozy! The Kitchen had everything we needed for my CHEF boyfriend to make me an amazing breakfast! The fireplace was easy to use and made the weekend super cozy and warm! The view is nothing short of spectacular!!! Loved every minute! thank you! Michelle & Michael xo

Very comfortable house. Nice bedroom, bathroom, and living area with a lake view.

I live in Seattle but work 2 week stretches in LA. Needed to get away from the LA insane traffic. The drive to this house was amazing and the house was just right for the price. A great place to rejuvenate. No tv here, but I would at least recommend available wifi.
