Immaculate, self contained two bedroom country style cottages featuring open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room. Relax and enjoy magnificent valley views framed by rugged timbered ridgelines from the spacious wrap around verandah. Share your weekend escape with abundant native wildlife as you leave the pressures of urban living behind you. You will comfortably accommodate 4 people with an extra fold up bed available if required.
Conveniently located in the Wollombi Valley, Laguna Cabins are only 8km from the historic village of Wollombi and an easy 30 minute drive from the heart of Hunter Wine Country.

ONE NIGHT STAY - CONTACT US

Both these well appointed cabins contain the following:

* One(1) Queen sized bed.
* Two(2) king single beds
* One fold up bed
* Portable cot
* Electric blankets available for all beds (if required)
* Gas BBQ
* TV, DVD & video player (BYO disks & tapes)
* Reverse cycle Air Conditioning
* Oven & Microwave
* Washing machine, Dryer & Laundry facilities
* All linen & towels
* All crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils
* Basic pantry items eg. salt peper, sugar etc. and Coffee pod machine (BYO milk)

You must provide:

* Food & Beverages
* Personal hygiene items

PLEASE NOTE:

1. No telephone is available at Laguna Cabins with LIMITED Optus mobile phone coverage in the area.
We have Starlink Satellite Internet available at the Cottage.
The nearest public telephone is located 8 km away where there is also Telstra mobile coverage in Wollombi Village.
2. Pets are not allowed.
3. Smoking is not permitted inside the cabins.

Comfy cottage

We were a family group and stayed for a weekend. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with clear entry instructions. It is a lovely setting with a beautiful view over paddocks. Electric blankets in beds much appreciated. For the price paid per night and the location with limited access to shops after 5pm it would have been nice to have kitchen basics such as a small supply of milk/cooking oil/butter made available. Would also be nice for the stove top to be updated as it was a very old electric cooktop and very slow to heat up and use. Otherwise kitchen well- supplied with cutlery and crockery.

Mum and son getaway

The location and property were absolutely perfect however 2 key points that will prevent us from returning which are in no way any of fault of the property owners. 1. No phone service which made check in a little difficult and our stay a little unsafe (see point 2) 2. We had a visit from the police at 2.34am banging on every door around the verandah and not once announcing they were the police until I got up (extremely afraid at this point bearing in mind it was just my son and myself). They were apparently looking for a missing person and this address was listed. Needless to say I did not sleep for the rest of the stay. If it wasn’t for the 2nd point, this place was perfect and we would stay there frequently but that was a very scary experience for us

Lovely short break

Great cottage - exactly as described. Only thing that would be good to add is more brochures in the house on local bushwalks and attractions.

Kitchen pans were not clean and kitchen was not well equipped to cook with stove not working. Beds were uncomfortable for everyone.

Wonderful quiet getaway

The Laguna cottages are a lovely, quiet getaway. Relaxing views across the paddock with cows grazing and the occasional wallaby, plus forcing the whole family to disconnect from the internet was great. The wrap-around balcony is wonderful. What wasn't clear in the listing is that the two cottages are separated by over 100 metres, so that was a pleasant surprise as you felt like you were effectively on your own. The owners have provided everything you could need for a comfortable stay - all facilities are top notch, with a modern kitchen, laundry facilities incl. clothesline, and powerful air conditioners. A few notes: - One of the rooms is accessible via doors that open onto the balcony or porch. So you have to exit the main house to get to it. It has its own a/c, two beds and a fold up bed, so is great for kids, but they'll need to cross the porch into the main house to get to the bathroom. - The BBQ listed is an small electric hotplate one. - There are small general stores within 10 mins drive, but the nearest town with supermarkets etc is Cessnock, which is a 40min drive.

Peaceful & lovely

The cottage we stayed in was very nice & situated on a beautiful property with marvelous views all round. Cattle grazing, lots of wallabies & birds. It's close to the Great North Trading Post at Laguna. There were 3 of us staying in the cottage & it was comfortable.

Fantastic location

Spotlessly clean and a fantastic location. 2 minute drive to Great Northern Trading Post. Comfy beds. Shower head was a bit sad with not much pressure (presuming tank water is being used for the shower so a water saver is used to stop water wastage?) Absolutely no phone reception or Wifi.

Loved it!

The cabin was clean and tidy with everything you need. If there was a wifi connection, would be an 11/10! Property was easy to find and had perfect scenery, looking over the dam and the cows. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent property

Only criticism is that it would be good to have a small carton of milk there, it’s quite a long way to the shop. Other than that we were very happy with our stay, the beds were very comfortable, the water hot and everything spotless. We would certainly recommend this property

Very clean but that’s about all.

Really hard to find the place as the sign is small and kind of facing the opposite way and after two hours of being lost we found the property by luck, make sure you check in at daytime. Absolutely no phone service or wifi, not even with Telstra. Does provide coffee, tea and sugar but no milk so make sure you take some as the shop doesn’t open until 8am. The second bedroom is out on the veranda off the bathroom wall and when someone showers it wakes up everyone in the room. Was very clean and nice but wouldn’t stay there again due to being so remote.

Away from hustle bustle

We had a great time at the cottage, the location of property and view are amazing. If you are looking for a quite family time with kids this is a perfect location. You can go for walk just inside the property with kids. Kids can just explore nature.. if you are lucky like us you can see kangaroos as well. The best thing is no access of phone/wifi that really makes your time in this cottage worthy as no one will spend time on their phone. Make sure you do your food n drinks shopping for the days your are here coz nearest shopping center is 30 mins away. Overall great cottage fully equipped nice n quiet 😊.

Relax into the view.

Laguna Cottage 1 was really neat, clean and comfortable. Everything worked! and the kitchen was well equipped. Not having reception wasn’t missed, because the evening view from the verandah, was simply beautiful .

A Great Family Experience

A perfect country getaway for the whole family. The kids loved the property's open spaces, the wildlife, and simply roamed around freely day after day. Great location, secluded but very close to excellent coffee and food. We would love to come back.
