Situated on one of the last working farms skimming the pristine coastline of Gerringong, you’ll find Ocean Farm. A secluded hideaway nestled amongst the rolling hills of the South Coast. Ocean Farm is your private oasis. 180 acres of rolling hills, pristine rainforest and the ever-changing, awe-inspiring Pacific Ocean.

We have a strict ‘no party’ policy. Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present without written consent from us.

The Space:
Ocean Farm has been welcoming guests since 2005. We have a strict ‘no party’ policy. Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission.

Whether you are seeking a family getaway, a romantic weekend, or a relaxing break with friends, Ocean Farm has just what you are looking for.

YOUR FARM:
Ocean Farm doubles as a family weekender for the property owners. They keep the house well stocked and maintained adequately for guests, as they would with their own home. For this reason, we ask that our guests respectfully understand this unique situation while also feeling comfortable and at home during their stay.


THE BEDROOMS:

Master Bedroom: 1 x King Bed
Bedroom 2: 1 x King Bed (can be arranged as 2 singles)
Bedroom 3: 1 x King Bed (can be arranged as 2 singles)
Bedroom 4: 1 x King Bed
The Loft: 2 x queen sofa beds can be arranged for the loft on request
Please note that the maximum number of guests permitted to stay at Ocean Farm is 12.

THE BATHROOMS:

4 x newly renovated bathrooms (2 ensuites and 2 semi-private)
1 x bath
4 x showers
1 x additional powder room situated near the living area
Heated floors and towel rails

ENTERTAINMENT:

Spacious living and dining area accompanies the open-plan kitchen, cooking essentials, spices, outdoor BBQ and BBQ equipment.

COMMUNICATION:

WiFi (average 100mbps), phone coverage may depend on your selected service, smart TV (stream Netflix) and SONOS surround sound, blue tooth speaker both inside and outside is available

SWIMMING POOL:
Outdoor infinity pool (not heated for environmental reasons)

FIREPLACE:
Fireplace and firewood is provided (seasonal)

THE FARM:

1.5-hour drive from Sydney
5-minute drive to Gerringong, 10 minutes to Kiama, 15 minutes to Berry
200 acres of rainforest and grazing areas
Coastal walking tracks to Kiama and Gerringong
Dairy and beef cattle (cattle are free to roam the property)
Horses for petting

INCLUSIONS:

Linen (sheets, towels, blankets, pillows)
Cleaning service on the day of departure (mid-stay cleaning can be arranged on request for long term bookings)
Access to the entire farm, excluding horses and farm equipment

EVENTS & WEDDINGS:

Please note that there are NO gatherings or parties permitted at Ocean Farm and all events must be approved by the owner.
Guest Capacity: 24 guests (off-site by 5 pm)
Guest Accommodation: 12 guests (overnight)
Additional Fees: An event fee plus a refundable security deposit applies.

BOOKING CONDITIONS:

Weekends: Unfortunately, for most of the year, we cannot accept new guest arrivals on Saturdays or Sundays. Please check the calendar for a Friday arrival.

Everything will be arranged for you so all you need to do is show up and relax.

The Neighborhood:
Gerringong: A stunning rural coastal town, drawing tourists in to explore the rich culture of art and cafes, Gerringong is a must-see if you are staying with us at Ocean Farm.

While it is perfectly understood that you may plan to relax at the house and never leave, should you want to venture out, Gerringong has much to offer.

Stop by the Fern Street Gallery to see work by local artists or join one of the many ever-changing workshops at Willowvale Road. If art and craft is not your style, there are many historical sites to explore. Last but not least, Gerringong is known for being a beach town with the incredible Werri Beach, so be sure to pack your swimsuit.

Berry: A 15-minute drive from Ocean Farm. If you like your town's cute and quaint with great bakeries selling delicious treats and small shops selling unique and quirky items, then Berry is the place for you! As part of the Shoalhaven Coast wine region, you’ll be impressed by Berry’s food and wine.

We feel that Berry is the perfect country getaway and the area offers plenty to see and do. Berry is rich in cultural history, so check out the local art galleries and historical museums. Berry is also a wonderful town to picnic in the park with the family.  

Gerroa: A 7 to 10-minute drive South of Ocean Farm. A tiny little town with a long beach. Great for younger kids to play in the sand or walk along the hard-packed sand for miles. Fishing, surfing, windsurfing, and kiteboarding are among the top things to do in Gerroa. Walk along the Gerroa Headland and see dolphins or spot whales migrating along the coast between May and November.

The Seven Mile Beach National Park is worth a visit, and you can be sure to find the perfect picnic spot. Explore the rock pools at low tide at Black Head or visit the Sir Charles Kingsford Smith Memorial and Lookout for the best view of the coast.

Getting Around:
We suggest using your own mode of transport around the area.

Gerringong town centre is a short 5-minute drive should you crave a barista-style coffee or the weekend paper.

Other Things to Note:
THE CATTLE:

The cattle are all friendly and not dangerous. If they come running up to you do not worry, they are just curious. They will not hurt you. However. If you feel nervous, a loud “SHOO” and a wave of your arms should send them running.
