Excellent vacation at the Lodge

It's been a glorious week at the Lodge. Everything we needed was there. Beautiful property. Owner and staff were incredibly easy to work with and were very nice folks.The Tanners highly recommend the Lodge on Hartwell.

Wonderful gathering place with friends.

Very lovely property on a lake. Quiet and serene. Listening to the sounds of nature. Visited some of the beautiful waterfalls nearby. Wonderful time gathering with friends and family to celebrate my daughter’s wedding day.

The best experience!!

We had an amazing Christmas!! My husband couldn’t stop telling me how great I did by picking this cabin! A beautiful place in all aspect and Stephanie super great! The theater, play room, games, our kids didn’t want to go anywhere! We enjoyed a quality family time!! We are definitely going back!

Amazing stay!

We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful home! I was nervous because of a previous rental on VRBO being terrible but this one was truly amazing! So much room and the house was immaculate. So much room for our large multi generational family stay. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. The dock was spacious enough for our family to fish, sunbathe and swim! Ping pong was a big hit for our family as well as the fire pit. Hot tub was wonderful. It was truly the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever had. Nights we didn’t feel like cooking and we were thrilled! We had pizza, wings, Philly steak and we loved it all! So close by. An incredible vacation and we will definitely be back!

Family memories

This house is amazing! Come and relax from sunrises to sunsets campfires and s’more’s. Movie night, then onto the hot tub. Huge gourmet kitchen for huge family dinners. Don’t forget to check out the steam shower. Hope to return soon.

Didn’t want to leave!!

We stayed in Martin for a long weekend with family and friends. The home is beautiful and exactly as described. The owner was very responsive and made our planning and time there so easy. We rented a couple of kayaks and while it was a bit cool, paddling around the lake was really fun. Restaurants, attractions and groceries are about 20 min away, so plan your days well. We visited a couple of state parks and saw some beautiful waterfalls, stopped at a winery and brewery and just really enjoyed our relaxing time away. The hot tub and fireplaces were the perfect end to each evening. Would definitely recommend!

Getaway weekend for groom and his groomsmen

Twelve guys getting away to celebrate an upcoming wedding and get some guy time. We had an amazing time in the house playing poker at the big table. Watching ballgames. Awesome fire pit time. House is well furnished with games and entertainment. Used the shuffleboard table and ping pong table all weekend. Golfed at Curahee Club which an elite course with amazing views and club amenities. Couldn’t have asked for a better situation for what we wanted to do. The house. The deck. The pit. The lake views. Really amazing.

Great time

Such a large home with everything you need supplied. Lots of parking, we had 5 cars. Great neighborhood. Dock was awesome. So much space we loved all of it.

A Great Family-Friendly Stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was nice being able to fit our large extended family all under one roof with plenty of space to spare. Between fireplaces, game tables, and the theater room, there was always something to keep everyone entertained. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful, spacious amazing cabin

This is the most well-stocked cabin I’ve ever rented! Every utensil, bowl, 3 crock pots, tons of cleaners, fresh towels, literally you don’t need anything except yourself! This cabin was very clean and spacious and a ton of activities. A cabinet full of reading material, games, and so much more! We had such a wonderful time and will definitely come back!

Wow! What a blast!

This place is Amazing if you are looking for a great place, look no further. We had a blast fishing, bomb fires, corn hole, hot tub and much more. Caught a 18 inch largemouth bass and several others. I'm trying to say we had a grand time. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place. They were great to deal with!

perfect family getaway

House is beautiful inside and out. It is one of the most well stocked homes I've ever encountered on VRBO. The owner was very accessible and helpful with a couple of minor issues we ran into. There is almost nothing you could need that is not available at this beautiful home. Our family of 10 had an incredible week together. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice and clean house which is fully stocked

The 8 of us had a great time. Rita who was our contact person was very responsive. We had a problem with two of the toilets and she took care of it immediately. We love the house and activities available to us. The only two things I would would recommend: In the basement which has a king side bed and another sleeping areas with a bunk bed is very cold . I recommend getting a separate thermostat to allow regulation of the heating system in the basement. The other thing I would recommend is get better pillows for a more comfortable sleep. I would recommend this home and would go back to spend time there. It is really a very nice property.

Relaxing family get away

Weather cooperated 1 day out of the 3 but so it goes in late September. Harbor Light Marina’s boat rental kept us on the water and he house met all of our needs. My wife and I got to spend time time with our 3 kids and our grand baby entertained us the entire weekend. Highly recommend this property.

Amazing Stay in Perfect Cabin!

As amazing as the pictures of the cabin are, they really don’t do this place justice. Everything is perfect and clean in the cabin. Almost all of the TVs in the cabin our recent high DEF Samsung‘s including at least a 70 inch are in the media room with reclining seats to watch movies or games. Some things that I wondered about that I can now answer after staying at the property: the walkway down to the dock is very easy to walk with only a light grade, the dock has a covered pontoon boat stored there and an available pedal boat in the other covered slip, there is a boat ramp about a mile away but the closest marina to rent a boat is about a 20-25 minute boat ride away, fishing from the dock was spotty but we managed to catch a couple very large bluegill and a few catfish - the only bass strike we had got away when it snapped the line, the hot tub works perfectly and is easy to heat and cool, the media room has about 7 or 8 fully reclining comfy chairs (one wouldn’t recline) where you can watch a game or movie in HD, the ping pong table is also an air hockey game and mini pool table all in one, the kitchen is well stocked except for seasonings and spices - bring those with you. The last thing I will mention is the all encompassing silence of this place. This branch of the lake is fairly quiet in terms of boat traffic and between boats you could hear a pin drop across the lake. Amazingly quiet.

Multiple Couples = A+

This is a great house for multiple couples since each bedroom includes a bathroom. We had more than enough room for our group of 9 people. The two bedrooms upstairs are great sized and include a twin bed in front of the window. The main level is expansive with the living room, dining room and large kitchen. I’ve never stayed at a cabin with a kitchen stocked this well. Everything we could possibly need to cook a meal from a coffee maker to multiple crockpots. There was even a margarita machine in the pantry! The only thing I needed but didn’t find was a pizza cutter. The master bedroom with the large bathroom, steam shower and huge closet was just off the living room and kitchen area. Downstairs was the bar area, the nook with bunks, theater and the second master bedroom, almost identical to the one upstairs. The hot tub, wood burning fireplace on the deck and the fire pit in the backyard were a huge hit with our group. We did find several things not working, broken or confusing. The waffle maker and the fireplace in the master bedroom did not work, however, not a big deal. The theater room has a couple of broken chairs and we couldn’t figure out how to recline the others. We had a good time with the karaoke machine but only one of the microphones worked. There are two thermostats on the main level which control the entire home. We weren’t sure which area each thermostat controlled so the basement area was freezing and the upstairs was hot. An explanation in the welcome book would be helpful. Some in our group checked out the nearby hiking and waterfalls while others fished. The girls drove to downtown Toccoa and shopped in the antique stores. It was a good time had by all and memories we will never forget. We’ve already talked about a future stay. Maybe a trip when it is warmer to enjoy the lake. Little piece of Heaven on the Lake

We couldn't of asked for a better place to stay to get away. The accommodations were the best, you lack for nothing when staying here. Even though the weather was cool outside, it was cozy and warm inside. Anything you would want to do, watch movies, play games, or just chill and relax, this is the place to be. If you want to venture outside and walk down tho the dock on the gravel path or you can take the 1/2 mile hike tho the front gate and 1/2 mile back there really isn't a lot of traffic it's nice and quiet. Loved it here, would recommend it if you are looking in this area!
