Little slice of heaven!

I visited the property with my family to celebrate my nieces birthday. We rented the house and the cottage and both were absolutely amazing. They were clean and the staff went above and beyond especially Rene. She brought us ice for our coolers did a really fun bonfire Saturday evening and anything we needed she was right there for us. I would most definitely recommend these cabins for anyone looking to have a nice quiet weekend away.

So convenient to Rock Springs River

I really enjoyed my stay here. I got very lucky and had the whole property to myself so it was very quiet and peaceful. I went to try out my new SUP and see Rock Springs for the first time. Both were amazing. I only have one issue. There were no kayaks for my use as was advertised in the listing. I really wanted to try one on the river. I will definitely rent here again!!

Absolutely beautiful

We loved our stay in this bungalow. Super quiet. You can sit on the deck and have a campfire while you listen to nature. Took a canoe around 6 PM and we were the only one the springs. We had such an amazing time and we will be back!

Great place

We loved everything about our vacation at this bungalow. Grandkids fished off the dock which kept them occupied while the adults were having their happy hour, etc. Plenty of room on the dock, table/chairs. Lots of help from Joe, who answered all the questions that we had. Kayaks on property, easy to launch from this location and the tubing rental for Kelly park was convenient. Very clean, we also had the cabin which made it very nice for a family retreat.

My only complaint was trying to get some answers about property and what I should bring or need

And was unable to get that. And the grills are in extreme poor condition. Otherwise everything was great. Spring was absolutely wonderful.

Great river access

Perfect access to river and state parks- literally could not get better if you wanted iconic FL to yourself. Would definitely book again.

Great little place

Well, it was great location, great access to river, nice amenities but I’d have to say the wild turkeys threw me when they attacked my vehicle. Thought I got away scratch free until I started wiping the Sandy claw prints off my hood and notice it’s all scratched. The beak pecks on the side of car came off though. Bring dirty car!over all great place didn’t have neighbors and the river was beautiful .

Enjoyed our stay

Location was beautiful & secluded. The owner was so very kind & welcoming to me & my dog. The kayak/canoes at the property were so much fun. Definitely would recommend.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...

The cabin was perfect for two people. Comfortable, clean, easy check in, and in a gorgeous location that gave continuous access to nature. Fairly no-frills but we expected that. Enjoyed every second paddling around and exploring. That being said... because of the proximity to the larger rental house (literally feet connected by decking), and the fact that the dock and such are shared, your experience IN the cabin will greatly depend on who is renting the house. In our case, a group of six set up shop on the dock and drank, smoked, cursed, and blared music until 3a the first night. Texts to the property manager to ask about protocol in such a situation (he had personally given us his number when we checked in and told us to text anytime), went unanswered. The second night they moved over to the side so the noise was slightly muffled, but it was basically the same experience. This was very unfortunate because after we came home and slept for two days to catch up on sleep we agreed that we absolutely loved the stay otherwise.

Adorable bungalow on the river

Really enjoyed our stay at the cute little bungalow onsite at Kings Landing. The property location cannot be beat being it is right on the river and perfect to paddle up to Emerald’s Cut without having to launch through the Kings Landing launch for which there is a fee. Included with the rental were use of several canoes and kayaks. The scenery is gorgeous and plenty of wildlife to see. If you paddle upstream to the right of bungalow you will run into the Emerald Cut which is pristine clear bluish/green water. If you paddle to the left you will be in a part of the river that is a little bit more remote with lots of wildlife. You’ll want to bring bug spray! The bungalow is located next to a larger cabin which is also a rental and most likely it will be booked during your stay so be prepared to interact with your neighbors since you’ll be sharing the outdoor common area and canoes/kayaks. There was a nice group staying while we stayed and we enjoyed the interaction. You do have your own fire pit and propane grill. Bring some canvas folding chairs for around the fire as the chairs were in use by our neighbors. Be prepared to eat your meals outdoors at a picnic table as there is no indoor dining area. A small bistro set, TV trays or even a coffee table would have been helpful as it got super chilly out. The rental has basic utensils, dishes, cups, microwave and coffee maker. Nice size fridge also located in the small kitchenette. There is a flat screen TV but with all the outdoor activities you won’t even want to watch it. The TV/kitchenette/living area has a nice little leather futon which is comfy. The sleep area had a great view but with our neighbors next door we did not keep the blinds open. The sleep area (partitioned from living area) has a tiny closet/place to hang your clothes. The bed was nicely made up and bedding was comfortable and clean however the bed itself was rather uncomfortable. The management company could easily remedy that with a nice memory foam mattress topper. On to the best part indoors, the spa like bathroom. The shower was huge and plenty of fresh soft towels to use. The bungalow was very clean and cozy. The WiFi worked. You have a code to enter Kings Landing gate so you can come and go as you please as well as a code to enter bungalow. There was no formal check in or out process. All in all I would rate 5 stars, perfect for a couples retreat. Will definitely stay here again!

Weekend Getaway

My husband and I stay in the smaller, 1 bed 1 bath bungalow with our small dog. The bungalow was a cozy and tight space. It was clean, had basic necessities, and a large bathroom. The location was great and gave easy access to the water. There is a larger bungalow that shares the deck and dock. We luckily had very nice neighbors and enjoyed our time with them around the campfire in the evenings. We did have a few issues during our stay. There was no wifi on the property and the issue was never fixed. There is no service inside the bungalow so you have to go outside to make calls or get any service. This was frustrating when it was heavily raining. There is also an additional house close on the property currently under construction. It is unclear if this is another rental or a permanent resident. We also smelt some interesting scents that could have been the septic system. It has been raining a lot during the time of our stay which could be a factor. It was great having canoes and kayaks on site however both canoes had at least one broken seat. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the location is great.

Great little getaway

The BF and I highly enjoyed our little weekend getaway. Pros: The location is close to grocery, gas, restaurants, and parks/springs; Access to kayaks/canoes on-site; place was clean; the area is quiet and somewhat secluded. Cons (and not necessarily deal breakers for us): there is no table in the studio unit (hard to eat without a place to set food down); the queen bed wasn’t comfy and we ended up sharing the futon on night 2; no stove/oven so bring a griddle if possible. Keep in mind this rental also has another property on-site. The other couples who rented the same weekend were super nice, but if you’re not looking to socialize or hear their noise, the shared space could be bothersome.

Will stay again

My boyfriend and I rented the studio and my family rented the 2 bedroom house. Staying on the river was super convenient. We loved having our own canoe right in our backyard. Both bungalows were super clean. The only thing I would recommend if your staying in the smaller cabin is to bring a small burner or a toaster. We will def will be back. We had a blast. Thank you!!

Wonderful retreat

This was a lovely place for a getaway... close enough to "civilization" when we wanted to get groceries or carryout, but far enough off the beaten path to be a real nature retreat. Use of kayaks on property was an excellent (and much-used) park, and Bob was a helpful and responsive host. Definitely plan a return visit.

Great time with family

My husband and our kids (8 & 13) came here to have a relaxing getaway. The property is beautiful and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We spent most days out on the water kayaking and enjoying our beautiful state of Florida’s nature! We will definitely be back!

Perfect!

We enjoyed our stay at this bungalow! It was remote enough to have privacy and maintain social distancing, but close to several towns to grab groceries and food to go! The property was very clean and neatly organized. It had almost everything we needed: the kitchen needs a pan for use on the grill burner and the property description needs to give details about the access to a shared grill and the kitchen tools for the shared grill. We cooked out each night and at by the water. GLORIUS! We enjoyed the kayaking. The owners and Joe/support team were so very hospitable, helpful, and quick to respond. We will be back!

peaceful and perfect

Our family had an amazing stay at the bungalow. Bob was great, and came in person to tell us about the kayaking and things to do in the area. The kayaks were a great perk to launch right from the property! (make sure to try Emerald Cut, and if you have kids stop at the rope swing at the swimming hole on the end of the Kings Landing Canal!) Our family consists of my husband and me, plus our 2 boys (11 and 12). We brought sleeping bags for them to use on the futon, which they reported was comfortable. The kitchenette was perfect for our short stay- large fridge/ sink/ microwave. You are in a tiny space, but it was cozy and just as depicted in the description and pictures posted online! There was a grill to use on the deck as well (the large deck was another perfect perk, as we knew we would be spending most of our time outside!). Don't forget your bug spray and sunscreen! There was no-one staying at the cabin on property (linked together by the deck), but it would be very fun to bring another family and rent together! We will definitely be back to enjoy this beautiful bungalow!

What more can you ask for than a cute little house on right on the spring? They have canoes, kayaks, and a fun water tricycle. This place is truly a hidden paradise!

Golf and fishing weekend

We have annual golf event in Mt Dora. And were looking for a different place other than the hotels. We found it, clean peaceful and friendly. Bob stopped by a couple of times to make sure we taken care of. Our teams are booking again for next year. Great weekend of golfing and fishing. I gave the on line deal a 4 only because the pictures are a little deceiving of the property layout and the Bungalow. But as retired and former military men, we adapted and overcame. nothing a few air mattresses could take of. Other than that, a really rlaxing place.
