Gortaderra has two accommodation choices provided by Graham and Lorna Dicks. Clare Cottage is a two bedroom house (sleeps 6 including pull out sofa) in a garden setting with all amenities provided including light breakfast ingredients. There is a bath, washing machine and a full kitchen and all linen is supplied.There is a BBQ area,kids play house and dog enclosure. A smaller one bedroom unit on site (sleeps 4) is also available and suitable for combined family/friends.

amazing place to stay

Second time staying at this cottage and didnt dissapoint again. Always has a light and heater on when we get there and has a range of breakfast foods and condiments available. Highly recommend staying here as its just like a home away from home.

Comfy clean cottage

After a long day on the road it was great to arrive and find such a lovely clean and well appointed cottage, conveniently located just a short distance out of town. We had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to stay there again and have recommended already to several friends. Host Lorna was lovely.

Fabulous cottage!

Like someone's home! attractive place and well supplied kitchen, bathroom and washing machine. Garden not actually secure for a dog- only a garden cage available, though well-behaved house dog may be welcome. Excellent access for the zoo (tough turnoff can be easy to miss!)

Perfect accommodation next to the zoo

Lorna & Graham are delightful hosts, who maintain the properrty to a high stabdard & provide small treats as well. The cottage which was exactly as described was perfect for our family holiday to Dubbo zoo & surrounds.

The property it’s absolutely beautiful. We stayed there for one week with our small dog. In the cottage we found everything we needed and much more. The owners are very lovely people. I wish we could stay there longer.

Beautiful setting

The cottage behind the owner's home was clean and comfortable, and has a lovely relaxed setting. Although their large property is set back from the main road, it isn't fully enclosed and the cage can't be seen from the deck, so if you weren't bringing a dog with you or if your dog didn't require a lead, this place would be perfect.

Beautiful family stay

Relaxing holiday

My family had a lovely stay at Clare Cottage. The location was fantastic for visiting the zoo and the kids enjoyed the paddock walks in the early frost. The cottage was clean and inviting with all amenities necessary for a comfortable stay.

Clare Cottage

As far as I was concerned, it was one of the better stays I've had while travelling through NSW. The owners couldn't have been more accommodating. It wasn't cheap as overnights go but it ticked so many boxes, you don't mind so much. Beautiful location, immaculate property and the hosts left milk, bread and bananas for you..which is practically unheard of for paid accommodation. I'd recommend this little house to anyone breaking from a long journey or just visiting the region. I would definitely go back again.

Great location and if travelling with a dog ideal for short stays

Very well equipped home for us as we travelled with a Great Dane.The cottage was private completely self contained offering good bedding and a continental breakfast which was very much appreciated.Thank you Lorna again-3rd time here and it was wonderful.

Two families with children having a weekend in Dubbo to explore the zoo.

Great place to stay to visit the zoo! Our family stayed in Clare cottage and my sister stayed in the other accomodation with her family. The kids loved exploring the beautiful gardens and we could even bring our puppy. Although the hosts live on site they keep to themselves and respect your privacy.
