Everything we expected. Host and property manager were prompt and helpful. Area is very safe and walk-able beaches, restaurants and grocery. This is a fantastic vacation home for a large family.

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Jan Thiel, Curaçao. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the lively beach area filled with great restaurants, shops, and activities. Our two teens absolutely loved spending time at the beach and being so close to everything.The house itself was very clean and well maintained, making it easy to relax and feel at home. One of our favorite parts was watching the sunset every evening from the rooftop terrace. the views were beautiful and such a peaceful way to end the day. The pool was also a refreshing bonus, especially after time in the sun.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting the area!

We loved our stay and enjoyed how accommodating the house manager was with any requests. The villa is beautiful, very well maintained and the pool area is just beautiful. The location to JanThiel was a big bonus. We will definitely return.

property very beautiful, kids played soccer and nice pool, great location next to Jan Theil, only issue felt hot at times, property mgr and owner easy to reach and responded with fans. Would say that should increase electricity amount given size of property and number of devices families travel with, our family went over and we tried to limit electricity use during our trip.

The house is beautiful. The location is great for super market and beach. Downside is having to be mindful of water and electric use. Opening windows brings in flies and other unwanted critters because of no screens. We really enjoyed our stay and Pedro was very helpful.

If you’re looking for a safe, clean, and reliable place to stay during your vacation to Curaçao then look no further! Not only was the house affordable but it was located just walking distance from the beach, grocery store and restaurants! The home manager was very patient and kind! Great for family and kids

We stayed here for one week with 4 adults and 3 kids ranging from 1.5-8 years old. The pool was highlight. It was a good location with a very convenient grocery store within walking distance. We also enjoyed Zanzibar restaurant a few times while staying here. We rented a car and our favorite thing to do on the island was swimming with the turtles at playa piskado which was about an hour away from the house. We would stay here again.

We stayed in this beautiful place for 7 nights. Had just about everything you need while on vacation. The pool was amazing and had just the right amount of sun for almost the whole day so we enjoyed it quite a bit. The house is big beautiful clean and had enough bathrooms for all of us women. We were worried about the electricity and water usage but it didn't come up to that much more we thought. Next time we won't worry about watching our watering electricity it was not astronomically priced. About a block and a half away there are four restaurants a few bars some shopping and two different beaches and a grocery store so it worked out well for us because we didn't have a car the first day. It does have a safe in one of the bedrooms that we did use. FYI read directions in the book first as we thought it was just like others that we've encountered. Good thing we didn't lock our money in there before we tried it out. But we did get locked out so we had to call Pedro. Pedro was amazing. If we needed him he was there within a short time.Jan Thiel area where the house is located is relatively safe we never felt unsecure so that leaves no worries for anyone. FYI the floors are slippery but aren't they always in vacation homes especially where there's a pool floors were beautiful marble so I suggest moving the rugs from other areas into the kitchen by the pool area which is what we did. There's a beautiful breeze every day and we had the windows open downstairs. Bring bug spray.

The residence is conveniently located in walking distance to the beach, market, restaurant and spa.

The whole process of booking, communication with the property owner and property manager was efficient, courteous and accommodating. Any inquiries prior to arrival and during our stay was promptly addressed. We felt at home. The house was spacious which suited our family well since it provided for some privacy but at same token for togetherness in mornings and dinner time. Having the swimming pool available was also conducive to family togetherness. We hope to book again in the future.

A fabulous villa in a great area

We are really happy we chose to stay here. The villa is fantastic and felt like our own private piece of paradise in Curacao. The house is well supplied with amenities and we took full advantage of having our own pool. Location wise, you couldn't ask for anything better. Jan Thiel is a great, safe area and the villa is walking distance to a very well stocked super market, several restaurants, car rental places, the beach, and some small boutique shops. The property manager is great and extremely responsive. This is a well earned 5 star review. We'll definitely be coming back to Curacao and wouldn't imagine staying anywhere else next time.

Lovely Villa in Convenient Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at this spacious home in Curacao. The villa suited our needs perfectly and allowed each person to have their privacy. Our group consisted of 2 couples and 2 single adults. The pool and area in the backyard is a lovely space to gather and the villa is well equipped. The owner Maria Jose and property manager Pedro were very accommodating and quick to respond to requests and questions. The location of the villa in Jan Thiel is convenient. It is a very short walk to restaurants, the beach, and a well-stocked grocery store. We rented a car and explored the various beaches and sites on the island and took several trips into Willemstad. Our group was very happy with the villa, booking process, and location. We had a fabulous vacation in Curacao!

Expectations not fully met

Information on flight were schedule were sent ahead of time, but did not fit within the property manager's schedule. I was not greeted at the property once i arrived, but received a phone call and was instructed about the steps of entering the property. I wasn't granted an opportunity to do a walk through of the property prior to taking custody of said property. The floors were not clean to the standards in which I'm accustomed. Doors in dining room area needs maintenance. Air Conditioner needed in dining room area. Electricity arrangement needs improvements. I would like to suggest the purchase of Solar Panels. The Pool was not cleaned until 4 before we were leaving the property. No maid service. There were several encounters with roaches dead and alive. The house is beautiful but needs a bit of upkeep. If you are interested in selling this property please inform me about your plans to do so.

We'd like to clarify a few points based on your feedback. Our property manager waited for your arrival for three and a half hours. When we contacted you, you mentioned you were waiting for other travelers but didn't provide a new arrival time. For your convenience, we then provided remote access. Had you arrived at the initially scheduled time, you would have received a personal welcome and a full property inspection with our manager, as per your expectations. The floors in the property are natural, unpolished stone with a matte finish. It's possible there might be a misunderstanding between cleanliness and the type of shine you prefer. We assure you that the property's entire electrical system is fully functional, and we appreciate your suggestion regarding solar panels. Additional cleaning services are available upon request, as outlined in the listing rules, and we didn't receive any such request from you during your stay. The pool is cleaned twice a week. Even if you didn't see our staff, this is done regularly; otherwise, it would be impossible to maintain the water quality you enjoyed. Our garden spans 2000 m², and while we conduct regular pest control, it's possible to encounter insects, birds, and iguanas due to the natural environment. We apologize for any uncomfortable encounters you may have had. Finally, we understand your interest in the property, but we regret to inform you that it's not for sale. We value your feedback as it helps us improve our services.

Exceeded Expectations!

Property, house, and amenities all as described! We were thrilled with the location being so close to the grocery store, beach and plenty of restaurants. You could easily get by here without having a car! Melissa was recommended to drive us to and from the airport, she was wonderful for our party of six and LOTS of luggage. Owner and property manager were always extremely prompt with their replies. We asked for a blender (to make some baby food) and within 48 hours we got one! We stayed here for 28 days and only ran the AC at night. We were pleasantly surprised we did not exceed our electricity or water allowance! The pool was always clean, and was the best part of the house, we all loved it! Overall we would highly recommend this place to others wanting to have a beautiful stay in Curacao! By the end of our trip, it felt like home!

Great modern spacious home

Our family of five very much enjoyed our weeklong stay at Maria’s home. We found communicating with both Maria and her property manager, Pedro, was easy and accommodating before and during our trip. The home was well maintained, clean, well appointed and spacious. The property is very large and private, and the well manicured outdoor space and pool area provided the perfect place to relax before and after our days exploring the island. If we could find any aspects to be improved it would be to either add a little more seating in the air conditioned kitchen family room, and/or fans in the main living room. The majority of our time was spent comfortably enjoying the warm breezes outside. We found the location ideal, as it is a 5 minute walk to Jan Thiel beach with its restaurants and grocery store; a quick 15 minute drive (barring occasional traffic delays) to historic Willemstad; and about a 45 minute drive to the beaches and parks at the far end of the island. Overall our experience was overwhelmingly positive and we would recommend this home to anyone visiting Curacao.

Great location but different expectations for utilities

I traveled to Curaçao with four other friends, and we all enjoyed our stay. The location of the property is great because it’s within walking distance of a supermarket and a beach club with restaurants and bars along the beach. The property also looks just like the pictures so there’s no need to worry about photo accuracy or false advertisement. My only qualm with staying at this residence is that there is a lower limit for electricity and water usage than what I am accustomed to. They will provide 40 kW per night and 1 cubic meter of water per night. It is much easier to not use up a bunch of water than electricity especially when you’re staying with a group of people in four separate rooms. For reference, my group of five friends used 495 kW during our 7 day stay (70 kW). I would keep this in mind while planning your trip.

Dear Kelsi, You paid for excess energy comsuption 1.78 dollars/day per person. The cost of energy (100% oil production) in Curacao is expensive and the cost for me is more than 50% of the reservations value, I don't make any business selling energy. We offer 50kwh per day as all houses in the area and transfer the excess of use to the guest. Excellent luxurious villa at a splendid location!

When we arrived at the villa the very friendly Estate Manager Pedro was already awaiting us. He showed us around and in case of any questions we could reach out to him via WhatsApp. Highly customer oriented. We walked around in the villa and immediately we noticed that Maria, from whom we had rented the villa for 2 weeks, had a very sharp eye for even the smallest detail. Everything was very nicely arranged. She had thought of really everything. It felt as if somebody was actually living in this villa, and had just left it to make room for us! This was a great start of our stay in this astonishing and spotlessly clean villa. About the villa: the kubistic architecture is very nice and offers a lot of space on the inside. Large rooms with high ceilings and even double height in the livingroom area. Instantly this gives you that highly luxurious feeling when you walk in. The interior design is modern and was very tastfully done. It makes you feel cosy and comfortable. Every bedroom is equipped with a airconditioning-unit. It only takes a couple of minutes to create a nice temperature and there is really no need to keep the airco running at all times. Which is good for energy savings as well of course. The same goes for the airco downstairs by the way. Outside there is an immaculately maintained garden with a lot of greenery, flowers and even a palmtree with coconuts. And than of course there is this very nice swimmingpool. In 1/3 of the pool they have created several “platforms” to walk around easily. The other 2/3 of the pool is around 1,5 M. deep. There’s also a “jacuzzi-section”, which we could not get to work at the beginning. But Pedro came by immediately and fixed it. This contributed to enjoying the pool even more, thanks again Pedro! During our stay we also had very pleasant contact with Maria. She really goes the extra mile to give you a 5-Star experience. She has this highly emphatic quality and on top of that she combines this with a strong professional attitude. And that takes you a long way. We really had a wonderful stay in this exquisite villa. The location is just perfect, close to the best supermarket on the island and several nice restaurants and the nice beach with watersports activities like a Jetski and Fly Boarding. Everything on just a couple of minutes walking distance. In our opinion our expectations have been exceeded, it really was a 5-Star experience. Thank you Maria and hopefully until next time!

Fantastic villa, exactly as described and in a great location.

My family have just returned from a 7 night break at this property. Maria Jose was quick to respond with answers to questions at the start of the booking process and throughout. Instructions were immediately sent upon payment for location, property managers name and two contact numbers. The Villa is in a perfect location, just a few minutes walk to a beach, supermarket, shops and restaurants. The neighbourhood is quiet and the Villa sits on a huge plot, with a great pool to the rear. The house is actually better than the pictures make it look and is immaculately maintained. Pedro the property manager maintained the pool regularly, was available quickly if required and was happy to answer any queries. We had a late flight home and Maria Jose graciously accommodated a late check out for us at no extra charge. This made a huge difference to our last day. We look forward to returning in the future.
