Arriba Beachfront Cottage

Arriba is a single story beachfront home located just 1 hour drive south of Sydney in Thirroul - the friendly village.

Ideally located right at Thirroul beach, Arriba guests walk just 50 level metres over lawn (no roads to cross) to step onto the fine golden sand of this beautiful surf beach.

Completely renovated in 2011 and fastidiously maintained, Arriba offers 1st class accommodation for up to 10 guests in 4 bedrooms. Nestled in the quietest cul-de-sac with no passing traffic (only 1 other house in the street) guests relax on the massive timber decks, play footy and cricket in the kid-friendly back yard, take breakfast (and lunch and dinner) alfresco if they wish while marvelling at the sparkling ocean and dramatic escarpment views.

Its easy level walking to the fabulous new Thirroul Playground next to the sea water Olympic pool (yep – there’s also a toddler pool) and nearby coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques.
Or stoll in the opposite direction to spectacular award winning Austinmer Beach with its inviting rock swimming pools and more coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques.

So, after you’ve been surfing or swimming, golfing or shopping, cycling or hiking or you’ve read a book, watched a movie, had a siesta, played some cards, taken dinner and a glass or two of your favourite beverage, Arriba’s super-comfy beds are there for you - the perfect end to the perfect day.

Incredible, the view, the space and location were amazing

We stayed at this property the night before and night of our wedding with our parents and bridal party, the views and space was amazing. Had a two night stay at Arriba, would definitely recommend! Was walking distance to town where we saw a show at Anita’s theatre and so many options to eat nearby. Was perfect for our 4 couples, spacious, cosy and amazing location!

Wonderful Family Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Arriba with the extended family. The property was amazing with ample living and dining space for a large group. There were games, toys and books for the little ones which was a nice touch. The location was fantastic right opposite the beach. Kitchen was well equipped with enough crockery and cutlery for everyone. Highly recommend.

Arriba beachfront Cottage was a very relaxing and Stunning holiday home. From the moment we walked in it was stunning it had everything we needed , even a lovely bottle of Red wine and some yummy chocolate left by Tracey . This property has all the charm you’d expect from a beach house. Fantastic nautical details and incredible views of the ocean. We loved sleeping to the sound of waves crashing on the shore and enjoyed morning cups of tea and coffee on the front deck. Ample dining and bedding for two families. Our third stay at this property - and we will return again!

Family getaway

We had a wonderful 4 days at Arriba recently. The location is fantastic - our children enjoyed exploring the rock pools not far from the front of the property and the short stroll along the beach to Thirroul beach playground. Tracey was very responsive and the house itself was clean and spacious with impressive ocean views across the front living areas. We hope to be back in summer.

Fantastic Location and House

We spent a wonderful week at Arriba Beachfront Cottage. The position is amazing, directly opposite the beach. It is an easy walk to Austinmer rock pools via the beach as well. The house is very well equipped. The furnishings are very comfortable - we couldn’t have asked for more. Tracey the property manager is great to deal with. We would love to spend more time there.

Right on the beach

Arriba is a great holiday house that’s worked well for our 3 generation family holiday. Well set out bedrooms including one with a double and 2 singles, perfect for our daughter, her husband and 2 little girls. Well equipped kitchen, good living area, wifi , 2 smart tvs . Bathroom , ensuite and another toilet in the ( external) well equipped laundry. Great decks, bbq, big backyard for the kids. Right opposite Thirroul beach in a No through road street. Close to cafes, Thirroul Beach pavilion; easy short walk to IGA, Coles etc. Tracey the property manager was excellent to deal with.

A Perfect Home Base

We recently had a number of lawn bowls sides competing in the State Championships in and around Wollongong. We chose Arriba Beachfront Cottage as our home base for the week - and were very glad that we did. During the week, we had between 2 and six adults staying at the property at any one time. The amenities were excellent! This was a great place to come home to after a full day of competition on the greens. The living and sleeping areas were fantastic. We certainly enjoyed our downtime at Arriba! While we stayed at Arriba during the winter, I can only imagine how enjoyable it would be during summer months - especially being right on the beach in a very quiet street. Tracey managed the property very well - always communicating with us. Thank you for your hospitality and attention to detail. Arriba is Highly Recommended!

BEST HOLIDAY HOUSE EVER

I cannot say enough about this house. It was the perfect place for our family group of 10 (6 adults and 4 children). It was so comfortable we felt like we were staying at our own home and the bonus was that it was right across from the beach (practically on the beach)! Big back yard, plenty of room for the kids to play, serviceable kitchen, entertainment areas, comfy beds. Walking distance to all the shops. Tracey, property manager couldn't have been more helpful. I could rave on for ages. It ticked all our boxes and other family who visited us are keen to book it too. We might even come back for a proper holiday ourselves (this was just a short trip for a wedding). Loved it!

I was raised and have lived locally in the Northern Illawarra all my life.
I love the area because of the proximity of the escarpment to the sea and how the holiday homes I proudly manage are amid both the coastline and bush.
Living in this area we are spoilt with spectacular views and wonderful scenic drives, beaches to surf and play in and an escarpment to explore and I love to share this with visitors to our region.

What makes this property unique

Arriba is located in the perfect beachfront position, nestled in a cul-de-sac with the beach directly across the road.
Arriba has a large back yard for backyard soccer and cricket and has front and side decks to enjoy a meal outside with the family.
It has four large bedrooms and views of the surf from both dining and lounge rooms, this is truly a family favourite holiday home!
