Beach fishing is a popular activity on the beach, though often you may have the beach to yourself depending on the time of day. The beach is pooch friendly. A patrolled area can be found a short stroll up the beach outside the Windang Surf Club.

Boat ramps are a plenty around the lake foreshores and secured boat parking can be arranged upon request with the hosts. Whether you have a boat or not Lake Illawarra has much to offer from swimming spots and bike and walking tracks waiting for you to explore.
