Stop your scanning, screen after screen. You just found the popular Bears' Bungalow. Don't take our word for it. Read some of the 160+ five-star reviews of our very satisfied former guests.
Wow!! You won't find this special deal anywhere else in the Big Bear Valley. The rates are lower than can be found in most other cozy cabins in the greater Big Bear area. It can hold two couples or a family of four.
Although we are pet friendly, the bungalow is restricted to dogs only, and no more than three of them. Your "fur babies" will love our large, fenced backyard. There's no extra charge for them, but you will have to leave your cat(s) at home.
The delightful bungalow is smack dab in the middle of the forest. Giant pine and oak trees surround the bungalow. Vaulted pine ceilings add to the charm of the bungalow. When evening comes, throw some wood on the fire, made even more perfect with a cup of cocoa or a glass of wine. The bungalow’s rustic decor, its large chef's kitchen, and the separate dining space are something to behold.
What a wonderful neighborhood! Imagine strolling along the quiet pine-treed Victoria Lane where a passing car is a rare sight. There's a nearby park, even a local market for items you forgot at the big grocery stores down Big Bear Blvd. All you have to do is bring your food back to the bungalow and start cooking up a storm.
Cooking in the bungalow’s chef’s kitchen is an experience. No tiny gallery kitchen here. These are the basics: stove, oven, fridge, and microwave. But oh, so much more. There's a complete collection of silverware, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, and even wine glasses. There's a toaster, an electric can opener, and all the pots and pans and cooking utensils you would ever need. If you can't find something you desire, just call us. We can be there in 10 minutes.
If you want to stroll through the Big Bear village and the various restaurants, you don't even need to drive your car. There’s a bus stop within walking distance of the bungalow. Jump on the free trolley which will take you into Big Bear Village in 15 minutes. This is the hubbub place to be in our town. In addition to numerous restaurants, there are dozens of mom-and-pop shops, a movie theater, art galleries, and even a barbershop. While there are "fine dining" establishments that offer gourmet meals, there are also economical restaurants if you are on a tight budget.
Because the bungalow is in such high demand, there are many back-to-back reservations. Therefore, departing guests are expected to put the key back into the lockbox by 10 am. Arriving guests can check in at 3 pm. However, if a thorough cleaning has been completed early, you will be called to let you know you can check in early.
If you’re looking for a peaceful place away from the congested hotel and business sections of Big Bear, this is it! The Bears’ Bungalow is a delightful retreat from the hectic life down the mountain. It will provide a time that you will long remember. Don't forget, although we are pet friendly, we restrict the bungalow to dogs only and no more than three of them.
