Great home away from home
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin last month. It felt like a home away from home. So much so that we ate at the cabin almost every night after our days in the park. The cabin is a quick and easy drive from Gardner and the park entrance.
Our first impressions of the cabin were how clean and well organized everything was. It was obvious that thought had gone into making sure guest needs were met. The house had plenty of room and the furniture was comfortable. The master bedroom was large. The bunk bed room was smaller but okay for kids. We were 3 adults and had planned on 2 of us sleeping on the bunks but decided that they wouldn’t work well. Instead one of us used the pull out couch bed, which wasn’t comfortable, with one of the bunk mattresses on top. That worked well as we didn’t mind moving a mattress in and out of the bedroom everyday for the 4 days we were there. I would recommend getting a blow up mattress to use on top of the couch bed, if needed.
Tracy and Yoshi, who live next door, were warm and welcoming hosts who were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We felt comfortable with them. Tracy told us to look for grizzlies as a neighbor had seen evidence of one in their yard a couple of days before, but unfortunately we didn’t see one. We did have a visit from a group of elk, including babies, who we watched from inside the house (about 15 feet away) as they ate the crab apples on the tree in the yard.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the cabin again. It’s quiet but close enough to everything. We moved to another VRBO near the west entrance for the final 3 days of our trip. The place didn’t compare, and all 3 of us wished we had stayed longer at Tracy and Yoshi’s place
I highly recommend staying there.
Wonderful cozy cabin
Tracy was a wonderful host. Cabin is well appointed. It’s located just north of Gardiner and 15 mins from entrance to park. Very quiet with beautiful vistas. She is a very thoughtful host!
Great home located near Yellowstone.
The house had everything that you need. It's clean, cutely decorated and our family had a great time staying there. When we weren't at Yellowstone exploring the park; we enjoyed cooking meals, playing board games, playing horseshoes and using the fire pit. The neighbors have 5 horses who were fun to watch and we also enjoyed watching birds, big horned sheep and elk in our driveway. We almost saw more wildlife at the house than the park. Thankfully we didn't have any bison roaming around our yard!
At Yellowstone we climbed Bunsen Peak that took us up to 8500'. It was quite an accomplishment since we're used to sea level! Following the hike we soaked in the boiling river which felt amazing on our tired legs. We also went to the Museum of the Rockies in Boseman. The dinosaur exhibit is a MUST see. I never thought that a T Rex could give me goosebumps, but it did! Boseman is a fun town to window shop and have lunch. We also spent time playing pool at the Blue Goose in Gardiner and we had a blast hanging out with the locals.
Thank you Tracy for letting us use your home. Our family will always cherish our Yellowstone memories and the activities we had hanging out at the house.
Excellent!! Spotless, great location, everything you could need
You know it's a good sign when you walk in and smell bleach!! This place is not only in the perfect location if you're visiting Yellowstone, but it was immaculate and had everything we could think of that we could need. If you're heading to this area, I more than highly recommend staying here. The only complaint we had was that the pull out couch was uncomfortable!
Very Clean and Great Location
This property is located about 5 minutes from the north entrance to Yellowstone. It is in a peaceful setting. The home was very clean and well cared for. The listing states that there is no internet service and that is accurate. This is definitely a great place to stay in order to enjoy a peaceful getaway to Yellowstone.
Perfect place for day trips into N Yellowstone
We were a few miles from the N entrance into Yellowstone and it made going in early before the crowds easy! House was very nice and easy to use. A washer and dryer to do a quick load of clothes, a kitchen to cook meals in, and beds that slept the 6 of us. Sweet welcoming gifts and great hosts! WIll definitely recommend to friends who are coming next summer!
Located in Southwestern Montana, 5 miles north of Gardiner, at the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park.
