The Park - Blackwood, a picturesque Victorian 1860s fully renovated 3 bedroom country house that comfortably sleeps 6 6 guests by arrangement. Top quality hotel quality linen, with warm comfortable feather & down bedding, plus additional blankets. Complete with a log burner fire in the Sitting room and heating in all rooms the property offers the perfect country getaway experience for your family or friends.

Modern bathroom with a classic deep cast iron claw foot bath plus large walk in marble lined shower and wc. Second powder room including wc. Equipped kitchen package comprising of chinaware, cookware, cutlery, glassware, dishwasher. Laundry facilities. WI FI internet, LCD wide screen TV, Netflix, Georgian antique furniture and comfortable sofas and arm chairs.

Master Bedroom: 1 king size bed.
Bedroom Two: 1 Queen size bed.
Bedroom Three: 2 king-single beds (can be combined).
Main Bathroom: Twin basins, Clawfoot bath, Walk In Shower, WC.
Powder room: Wall hand basin, WC.

Situated in 2 acres of landscaped Australian-English gardens and bush beyond. Garden includes heritage listed ancient trees, fruit orchard, gums, woodland and lawns, being private and tranquil but with neighbours nearby so not isolated. Native birds, (including kookaburras) wildlife (kangaroos, koalas) are in area as the property is situated near the Wombat State Forest.

Children and Pet friendly, with secure gated zones on the verandah when required. Large playhouse with swings and slide for children.

Ideal getaway for couples, singles and families, groups as The Park has an abundance of areas for everyone to find their own space.

Local Blackwood township only 4 minutes stroll with historic Hotel-Pub (longest continual operating weatherboard pub in Victoria) serving classic hotel lunches and evening meals. Jindarup-Post office-general store-coffee shop that offers the local award winning Karon Farm coffee, light food options, select groceries, antiques, bric a brac and ATM facilities).
Local attractions: Mineral Springs, bush walks, nurseries with rare plants (Blackwood Ridge Restaurant & Nursery, Garden of St.Erth Cafe & Nursery, Frogmore Gardens), spas and wineries. Local Blackwood tennis courts also nearby at the Blackwood Sports ground.

Location: 1 hr from Melbourne via Western Freeway, 10 minutes from Trentham, 30 minutes from Daylesford, Woodend, Kyneton. Blackwood is an early Victorian gold mining town. Beautiful gardens, bush walks and Mineral Springs. Wildlife such as wombats, kangaroos, native birds including kookaburras.

Ambleside is a beautifully presented home amongst lovely gardens. The house was fully equipped with essential items to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The fireplace was warming and we loved looking for and gathering firewood. The house was clean and tucked away amongst tall trees to provide privacy. The large decking provided comfortable and relaxing spots to watch the wildlife. We look forward to returning!

What a find,our stay was great.This property is excellent value .We have stayed in and around the area many times and Ambleside is hard to beat.Furnishings are top quality,giving the house plenty of character.Our next stay will be winter,early spring to see the garden in a different season.House is spacious with 2 living areas and plenty of decking.Dogs well catered for,including bedding,bowls etc.Thank you Vincent.We wish you the best.Hoping to see you soon.

Just gorgeous!

Myself and my brother/sister had a long awaited sibling getaway at Ambleside just recently. The place is just stunning! It gives you a sense of a very comfortable life in the old days as it was built around 100 yrs ago, but now has very stylish furnishings and artwork along with beautiful fabrics in the bedrooms. The gardens are amazing - very tranquil and the kookaburras just loved coming down to be fed each morning and evening. I would definitely recommend this as a 'to do' getaway - Vincents contact was prompt, his house/care instructions very clear and finding the property was seamless and he made us feel very welcome (we actually arrived a tad early and met him watering the garden!) Very memorable stay! Will be back for sure!

Simply Beautiful

My husband & I recently stayed at Ambleside for my birthday. The property is absolutely beautiful. The house was a gorgious step back in time and we loved walking around the garden. Sitting outside on the deck in the evening was peaceful and having the King Parrots come down to visit was a joy. We thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from their busy life and just want to unwind.

peaceful and relaxing

With young children and a dog Ambleside was the perfect home for our weekend getaway. The house was clean and tidy with a everything we could have possibly needed. Super comfy beds were also fantastic. The kids loved exploring the garden and playing on the cubby house and swings. We loved the local walks through the bushland and even made a couple of trips to the local tennis court for a hit of tennis and some basketball. Thank-you Vincent for ensuring we had a perfect weekend away.

Amazing peaceful space

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our few nights at Vincents private, lush property. Everything needed was there + a bit extra and the area was very green and beautiful. Many hikes and things to do around. There was no face to face interaction and was a very very easy check in process. Highly recommend visiting this place!

Amazing break away

I cannot rate this place high enough. One of the best winter getaways. The entire experience from booking to leaving was seamless. Vincent was great in providing all the information we needed, not only on how to access the property but also he provided helpful information on what to do. As soon as you walk into the house you already feel as though it is a home away from home! The décor, the fire place, the homely feel it was just perfect. We also to our dog to the property which just made it feel as a real family holiday. The house is well equipped and everything down to the smallest details from hand towels, wood supplied for the fire and the hotel quality linen. We will be back ever winter to enjoy our home away from home.
