About this property

The house is situated on top of the secondary sand dune from Koonya Beach. It sits on 1500sqm of land which is mostly native trees with a large grassed area on the hill. The outside area is vast and has large deck on top of the hill which is great for relaxing on.

There are three seperate outdoor entertainment areas to relax, eat or sit in front of the fire pit.

The inside of the house has a dining room and lounge with both bedrooms having ensuite bathrooms. There is a very small TV room.

There is a converted garage containing a couch, TV and an ice hockey table. Ideal for kids.

We have an Air conditioner, however because the house is on top of the hill it gets great air flow and we really have only used it a couple of times. There are ceiling fans in two bedrooms

Ideally this place is great for couples and small families who enjoy entertaining, walking and the outdoors.

Beautiful Cosy Home

Dalton House is a beautiful home, located within walking distance of the back beach in Blairgowrie and only a short car ride to the other peninsula towns. The house is quiet and a great hideaway. It is beautifully presented, has all the amenities you will need and has a lovely back garden with good views of the rolling hills. Diana the host was very quick to respond to queries and made our stay over the Christmas weekend a very special one for a group of Brits who were away from home. Thank you for having us stay, we want to come back already!

Stylish coastal retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this stylish 3 bedroomed coastal retreat. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds with high quality linen. Close to beach and shops and in a quiet area, this is the perfect peninsula holiday.

Great place to stay

My family and I really enjoyed this house. It was very nice inside with two big bedrooms (and one smaller one). Outside there were different areas to enjoy the day at different times - we especially enjoyed the fire pit at night. The backyard was good for the dog and the beach and general store were within walking distance. Highly recommend this place.

Perfect beach shack

Southern Sand is a reasonably basic beach shack which was perfect for our family Christmas. The owner was communicative and it was exactly the type of house and location we were after. The garden is beautiful and sunset drinks looking towards the back beach were a pleasure from the deck in the back yard. Thanks Diana!

Why they chose this property

We had been looking for a house for many years and when we saw this we bought it on the spot. The main attraction was the location, the size of the land, the dirt road, the views and that the property is not hemmed in by fences.

What makes this property unique

When we are there we feel like we are away. You can feel the weather. You can see a storm coming. You are up high and we rarely see anyone. On a busy day three cars drive past. The closest beach is deserted. It is magnificent and quite.
