To say our stay was great would be understated. The house was everything we were expecting and more. Thank you Matt for making our Minneapolis family wedding second to none. The house, the detailed list of stores and restaurants and so on was very much helpful to us. The location of the house to the church and wedding venue was oh so close. Plenty of games and activities for the kids as well. Matt we just can go on and on, but simply put, you can use us for a reference anytime. Thank you once again for everything. Once again we had a truly wonderful family experience in Minnesota and out stay on Dale Street. Thank You. Kathy and Vinny Piscitello and Family
Great times at the house, good location
House was in great shape and equipped with everything we needed
New house, which is good, a few minor quirks.
We stayed in June when the weather ranged from rainy to sunny and 90 degrees. The AC works great so no concerns there. It's a new house so everything is... well... new. They haven't put anything on the walls yet so it's a little stark but that's and easy fix they will hopefully get to. We had a snafu right away when we showed up and the key wasn't where it was supposed to be. We called and Debbie said they had no record of our reservation and the house wasn't clean! I then called Matt and he was apologetic and said he had a team on their way and would have it ready in 90 minutes. They did exactly that and the experience was smooth from there on. I believe an issue with VRBO caused the problem and I don't know how all the automated reservations and communication works between VRBO and home owners but they definitely need to work some things out. Luckily Matt was available and very responsive or we'd of been in a world of hurt. In the future I will make a personal contact with owners the morning of the day we are to check in to make sure everything is copasetic.
The house has a cemetery directly across the road (the view out the front window), one a couple blocks further down the road and a huge one a very short distance around the corner. Personally, I enjoyed running thru all of them but its something we all didn't expect. What it means to the neighborhood is that it's very residential and you are not real close to many amenities. you need to drive to restaurants, grocery stores, bars etc. Not a big deal, just something to understand. Before we arrived we planned a big family gathering at the house. It was a beautiful day and we wanted to be outside. The house has a very nice grassy fenced area in the front but that's also where the busy road is and the cemetery and you have to walk up a very significant set of stairs to enter the house. They don't have any outdoor furnishings so we would have been just standing around in the yard. The main guest being my mother-in-law and at 94 years old, navigating the stairs and no way to enjoy the outside just wasn't going to work. Unfortunately we had to move the event to a different location.
This is a comfortable house with a nice layout (inside), a garage you pull into and access the home thru and a great open kitchen design. Lots of TV's (although the main one is over the gas fireplace and WAY to high).
This is a 4 star which isn't bad and certainly capable of 5 stars with a few improvements.
Feels new, clean, and intelligently designed to host a large family in the Twin Cities.
Great parks nearby... perfect for what we needed...
It’s a beautiful house and really enjoy my stay
Very convenient to everything
The home was in a great location to all areas we planned on visiting while in town for a wedding. The only thing I would say which another guest commented on as well, was that the downstairs bedrooms and tv area were very cold. The one furnace did not provide enough heat to the downstairs without the upstairs becoming to hot. Maybe a separate small unit could be added sometime in the future to help with this. Also, with 8 of us in the home, nine including an infant, was the fact that we seemed to run out of hot water very fast. Not sure how large the hot water tank is, but we had to try to time the showers as not to run out of hot water. They did c9mr and keep the driveway and sidewalks cleared from the snow. The house had all amenities needed and plenty of towels and washcloths and the beds were very comfortable. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and we would certainly stay here again if we are ever in the area again.
