Lovely homey stay to unwind and enjoy beautiful nature, and plantation. Loved the fireplace. Beautiful bathroom. Great outdoor area, and we did appreciate the lack of reception and internet. Lovely and kind hosts. Thank you for hosting us!

A lovely family getaway

This property was just perfect for our family getway. It is secluded and nestled amongst the beautiful trees and gardens. We loved exploring the walking trails and the children could not get enough of the animals - their favourite was a night walk to spot koalas! Ian was a perfect host. Highly recommend.

A true sanctuary

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay amongst the beautiful ferns and established rhododendrons & azaleas. It is a delightful, gardener’s haven. It’s also a perfect destination for people who wish to avoid their phone and other devices because there’s no mobile coverage.

The perfect escape package

Immaculate well presented property in gorgeous garden. Wonderful sense of rural isolation but actually only a short drive to Yarragon and Mirboo North eateries. Stunning countryside. Friendly but not intrusive hosts. Great walks around the property and nearby.

Allambee sanctuary

Lovely location and property but hard to get to because off a long (10.5km) gravel road, steep and a bot scary.

Lovely Guests, however, despite being gravel and windy, the last 10.5km from Yarragon direction is neither steep nor hard to navigate.

Amazing

What an amazing property! The house was private, impeccably renovated and clean, the gardens surrounding the house were so beautiful and the creeks, gullies and waterfalls on the property were simply awesome. Thank you Ian and Gay for sharing your piece of paradise for others to enjoy. We will definitely be back.

Unplug your phone and recharge your spirits!

Sanctuary at Allambee is a beautiful and comfortable home set in magnificent gardens. Every window boasts a stunning floral display and we enjoyed the ambience and coziness provided by the fireplace. We wished we had more time here in this very special retreat and hope to return soon.

One of the best around, absolutely beautiful

You enter from a beautiful country road of rolling farmland hills and into the property where you find friendly sheep, cattle and a lama. A huge oak tree lies at the bottom of the driveway and the house is surrounded by an incredible garden that you just want to explore again and again. Big curved deck with comfortable seating out the front, inside a fully renovated brick house which retains its period but with all rooms modernized for your comfort. The owners are kind, relaxed and helpful. We totally loved our stay, outstanding holiday residence!!

Relaxing weekend at Allambee

House and property were great. Home owners very friendly and helpful. WiFi would be very helpful as there no coverage in the house at all. Booked it, knowing no WiFi but was unaware there was no mobile signal at all. House has nbn connected but no router. Should definitely have WiFi on offer.

Relaxing Christmas break

We had a wonderful 5 nights staying at Allambee after Christmas with our young kids. The fresh fruit in the fridge when we arrived was a nice touch and had us feeling at home straight away. The gardens and surrounding walks are beautiful and peaceful, we visited the veggie patch & raspberry bushes daily. We had a ball exporing the area seeing plenty of wildlife, the birds and animals around the house make it a very pleasant place to wake up. The house has plenty of books, games & dvds to occupy the time. The lack of internet was welcome, if you have Telstra you will get reception at the top of the driveway.Mirboo North 30 min away is worth a visit with its rail trail & great playground & skatepark to keep the kids busy. Few nice cafes to choose from.Yarragon 20 min away has a smaller kids park, foodworks and shops also.Mount Worth National Park has some nice if somewhat overgrown walking loops 20 min away.Overall a nice location to relax and slow life down.

Fantastic secluded property

We had a fantastic stay, the house is surrounded by nature and the house is a perfect getaway size, beautifully renovated throughout, great extras like fruit and local sourdough bread, milk, coffee etc, very generous. The bathroom is stunning even better than the pictures
