ERIN RESIDENCE ON RICHMOND HILL - WiFi, NETFLIX, PARKING
"Erin Residence" sits at the top of Richmond Hill in possibly one of the best locations in Melbourne. Close to all the best that Melbourne has to offer - MCG, City, Bridge Road, Rod Laver Arena, shopping, restaurants, theatre and bars. Whether you are into sport, the arts or want a place to catch up with family and friends, you’ll love our newly renovated house because of the location, appointments and style.
With 4 bedrooms (3 queens, 2 singles) and two bathrooms, there is room to host 8 people. (Our advertised rates are for four guests) And feel of the home with the renovated kitchen, appliances and laundry, bathrooms with the Italian bathroom tiles, to thoughtful decoration and appointments, means everything has been considered to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
There are 2 bathrooms, a full bathroom (bath and shower) and one with a shower, toilet and vanity.
The outside deck area, off the kitchen/dining area, and seating for 8 people and a gas BBQ.
If you are arriving early, or need to depart late ask us about our half day rates.
However what makes the house additionally interesting is it has a sense of history to it. Originally it was the nurses quarters for the first Salvation Army hospital in Melbourne. You can still sense this in the layout, down the corridor and the ease which 2 single beds fit in the twin room. It can also be seen in the room layout and the pressed metal ceiling. We are told that this ceiling may be one of the few remaining entire pressed metal ceilings in Richmond as the house has had few alternations from its time as a nurses home, to then a medical suite and now residence.

So glad that you enjoyed Erin Street and survived the long flight to Melbourne. Travelling wiith 4 children is an adventure in itself. Hope the rest of your Australian holiday was wonderful. Thank you staying with us.
Property was fantastic. Comfortable, spacious, great location, very quiet yet so close to the city and a very short walk to MCG. Very homely and well equipped.
Close by eateries, pubs and amazing supermarket.
Katherine was extremely easy to deal with and accommodating, very responsive. Everything ran smoothly.
Great stay, great property can highly recommend.
We loved every moment of being here. The communication was great. Check in process seamless. The location cannot be faulted (we walked EVERYWHERE - the city, the Collingwood children’s farm, south bank etc) and the house itself is just beautiful.
I will definitely stay again for future trips to Melbourne.
Owner forgot our check in date and was aggressive in conversations when I tried to ask for the key code for apartment. Apartment was clean, garden was very dirty and BBQ pit is in a bad condition. washing machine is dirty as well. dryer is full of dust. Owner still charged us additional $500 for "damaging property" lol

I accept responsibility because Airbnb warned me against allowing this booking but I just thought it was algorithm thing. And gave Tan the benefit of the doubt.
Tan is correct that my VRBO hadn’t synced and I allowed them early access as an apology. I am not sure how that can be perceived as aggressive.
I am sorry if there was lint in the dryer and will raise with the cleaner, not sure how the garden was “messy” maybe not Singapore manicured?
This group of young people are more suited to hotel stays with daily cleaning or travelling with their mother.
Unable to wash a single dish, or use a rubbish bin or sort recycle, or use an ashtray, with butts all over the deck (and even smoking inside), and over stayed their extended check out. Ok - all just juvenile behaviour of messiness and entitlement.
But there were two major issues - they burnt my table and tried to cover it up and defied Australian covid quarantine orders.
My table needs to sanded and restained and is the prime reason I have claimed the bond.
But more disturbing was their lack of personal responsibility when one of travel members tested positive. They didn’t notify me but I found out when I saw the used positive test left in the bedroom. Yes, left it out for me to dispose of! Didn’t isolate (the Victorian rule is household members must spend 7 days in isolation ) but flew home to Singapore putting other travellers at risk.
I quickly had to order a covid deep clean which I had to by regulation. Extra cost.
As a host of 10 years experience, you unfortunately have a bad experience once in a blue moon.
This was mine.
The house had everything we could need for a long weekend in Melbourne and walking distance to the MCG and great shops and cafes. Katherines tips were extremely helpful. Highly recommend!
We stayed here for 4 weeks and were very comfortable in this modernised Victorian home which is tastefully decorated and well supplied. The location is very central but surprisingly quiet at night. There was great near-by coffee and takeaway and we enjoyed the MCG dog walking parks with our pooches. The hostess was amazingly helpful and always replied quickly. She helped us find suitable car parking as we all had our own cars however public transport was awesome.

Perfect Stay!
This residence suited us perfectly! Clean, modern, nicely furnished - it was a calm and relaxing retreat after our busy sightseeing days. The kitchen had everything we needed, the amenities were all appreciated, and the location was perfect for getting either a train or a tram. Communications with the owner made it all easy, too.

A wonderful family getaway.
We loved our long weekend stay, the house was immaculately clean with beautiful linens, towels and soft furnishings making our stay that little bit more special. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 plus grandparents and it was the perfect location for walking to MCG, restaurants, great coffee and Bridge road shopping. I highly recommend and will be booking again!

Why they chose this property
We have owned this property for 20 years. For most of that time, it was a specialists surgery for doctors working at the nearby Epworth Hospital. When the doctors left to move into the new Epworth Consulting suites, we converted into an Short Term Rental because of its awesome location.
What makes this property unique
Its so close to the city but without the noise or traffic. Quiet at night as it is surround by medical practices. Beautifully appointed (ok I'm biased) and designed for short term guests. Hence massive living area, the second bathroom, 4 bedrooms and min storage space.
