Relax and refresh in a charming private seaside cottage. The cosy comfortable cottage is just around the corner from beautiful Kingston Beach. Enjoy beachfront restaurants and cafes, walk along the beach and river, swim, fish, boat or play golf. Let the fresh sea air and peaceful atmosphere work its magic after a busy day exploring historic Hobart and surrounds.
The cottage is privately set and is well equipped with all the comforts of home. Accommodation consists of lounge, dining, kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms- a double and the other with single + double bunk; Outside is a lovely sunny court yard to unwind and relax after a day out.
Bus services to Hobart are a 2 min walk away.
All linen is provided as well as tea & coffee, toiletries, TV & DVD player, Wifi available

Hobart is just a 12 minute drive away; to great shopping and the famous Salamanca Market waterfront precinct. Kingston is the gateway; to the serene unspoilt beauty of the green Huon Valley; Research Bay the southern most point of the island; Tahune Air Walk; beautiful Bruny Island with many attractions including the wilderness boat adventures. Historic Port Arthur is 110km and is a comfortable day trip away

Cute Cottage

A great place to stay with excellent amenities. There was plenty of room for 4 adults to relax. Conveniently situated in walking distance of the cafes and beach. A Lovely place to stay.

Fantastic Beach Stay

I loved staying at this charming cottage, an easy walk to the beach, cafes, a Japanese fabric shop. The kitchen was pretty well-kitted out which is great because my grown-up children and I all like to cook.Would thoroughly recommend it; and the hosts couldn't have been more friendly. I will definitely be back :)

This property is great for location as it is walking distance to beach and cafes. A great base to explore Hobart, Bruny Island, Huonville, Richmond from. Approximately 20 minute drive into Hobart. Very comfortable and clean, we would definitely stay again. Thank you

The cottage is certainly cosy, the bedrooms are probably on the cramped side for a family of 4. The nice touches were the recliner sofas, they were very comfy. The kitchen was well set up. The downside was the hot water pressure was poor and not quite enough for a family of 4. We had to have quick showers and even ran out of hot water one night. In the middle of winter in a very cold bathroom with no hot water in the middle of a shower was definitely a low point. Otherwise the location was excellent, close to everything you might need.

A Kingston Gem

Great location near the beach. Quiet and comfortable. Enough room for family day visitors. We had 3 adults but would easily suit a family of 4. Enjoyed the stay immensely.

Recreation Cottage

Pretty little cottage, had all we needed. Very short walk to the beach, shops and nice places to eat. Lynette was very kind. I think this is a great place for a peaceful getaway and as base to see the many nearby sights and activities.

A welcome port in a storm!

John and Lynette very kindly accommodated my elderly parents during the midst of the Covid-19 social restrictions while their house was undergoing renovations due to water damage. They loved being at Kingston Beach so close to lovely walks and found the cottage very warm and comfortable. I wish John & Lynette well for the future now that the covid restrictions are beginning to lift and highly recommend this lovely cottage for a relaxing getaway.

Relaxing space

The cottage was close to the beach and restaurants but felt private and away from the busyness. It would be good to have fans in the bedrooms for hot nights because it got a little uncomfortable. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
