Serendipity - Casa de Férias à Beira-mar

Absolute oceanfront beach house located at the fabulous Denhams Beach; one of the most beautiful beaches of south coast NSW, and a 10 minute drive (or 15 minute ride) to the Mogo MTB trails.

Relax on the balcony overlooking the ocean and listen to the sounds of the waves breaking. Watch out for dolphins; renowned for their daily visits to Denhams Beach and often seen playing in the crystal waters below the house. Denham's Beach is just a short stroll away along the scenic headland.

The world is your oyster at Denham's Beach - there is so much to do. Take a morning walk along the beaches, swim, snorkel around the rocks, kayak, bush walk, mountain bike at Mogo Trails (10 minutes away) or Narooma MTB Trails. Bateman's Bay is only a 10 minute drive where there is a host of activities available, such as rock climbing, jet ski hire, deep sea fishing, ocean cruises, restaurants and shopping. Bay Pavilions at Bateman's Bay offers indoor and outdoor aquatic areas, water park and splash pools, a gym, theatre and art gallery.

Serendipity is an old style but modernised beach house offering three bedroom accommodation on the upper level of the house; maximising the expansive ocean views. The is also a Games Room/Table tennis table downstairs for guests. The property has been renovated and offers the perfect beach house escape. There are ocean and/or beach views from nearly every room in the house.

Lounge Room with 55" Smart TV, wifi and DVD player, and a fabulous window seat with views over the ocean.

Beautiful Place

My family and I had a truly fantastic stay at Serendipity, with a couple of rainy days we made great use of the games room, DVDs and books, with great weather for the remainder of our stay we enjoyed the short walk to the beach whilst always loving the views to the ocean from the house. Gorgeous spot for a break away.

Great views and comfortable stay

We had a great time. The listing was accurate to the "T", fantastic views and a great collection of books & DVDs. The Games room made sure I had a good time engaging my teen.Heather is a great host with timely and polite comms. Will look to come back for sure.

Lovely beach house

Lovely house with beautiful views and short walk to beach. Great for a relaxing holiday with plenty to do in the local area. Had a great time in the games room too.Downsides were no air con, having to supply all linen and towels and no fly screens on back window. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Serendipity is just that. It is a lovely property with wonderful views and a very relaxing setting.

We have stayed several times. Each experience has been excellent. The owner is very helpful and easy to deal with.

Wonderful place with the most spectacular views

Such a comfortable and beautiful place to stay. The kitchen is very well equipped, big new tv and heaps of books, some family games, table tennis downstairs. Perfect for our family. We loved watching the kookaburras, parrots, friendly possum and saw dolphins on our last day!

Lovely Easter Break on the coast

The property has beautiful views from the patio and is a well equipped traditional beach house. We enjoyed the bird activity and just relaxing with a chilled wine outside over the Easter long weekend. Short stroll to a cute local beach.

We loved staying at Serendipity Denham’s Beach. Offers a view to die for, short walk to a beautiful beach, close to restaurants and shops.Central location for exploring all aspects of the South Coast. Hostess has done a wonderful job stocking house with all the comforts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Perfectly located and wonderfully equipped!

We loved it. The view is first class, the birds that visit the deck are like family and the house interior is fully decked out. Everything you could want and we plan to come back. Close to everything. The local beach is just a short walk and lots of convenient services. Seriously, the view from the deck is worth a lot.

We had a wonderful stay at Heather's place! It's very comfortable and has everything you might need (except linen, which you have to bring yourself or hire from local business, Blissful Bedding, who were also great). The house is an older style beach house which we loved. The location is great, central and easy drive to all the places we wanted to go. It was an short walk to the beach. I wished I'd booked it for a couple of days longer.

Ocean Views

Cosy beach cottage with amazing ocean views and sounds that can be enjoyed around the house. Kids loved the table tennis and movie collection on a rainy day and seeing all the birds visiting the balcony. Great location to explore different beaches in the area. It would be useful to have a dryer if the whether is on the wet side as during our stay.

Relaxing and peaceful

This was our second stay at Serendipity and it felt like coming home! The perfect place for our family - clean, tidy and well stocked with kitchen amenities that you need on your holiday. You can never get sick of the view either and the games room downstairs helps to pass a rainy afternoon. Very close to Denhams and Surf Beach and the IGA, Chemist and Pizza shop. I would highly recommend Serendipity.

Spectacular and comfortable

This was such a restful and beautiful house to spend time in and the view of the ocean was stunning. Even in the rain it was enjoyable. The track to Denham's beach through the bush is lovely and takes about 5 minutes. Another 3 and you are at the cafe. Heather is a wonderfully attentive host.

Amazing location and views and beautiful house

This was a magical holiday in a beautiful, clean and well-appointed house. The communication with Heather was excellent and the house was exactly as it was advertised. Will definitely stay here again. My only suggestion would be that it would be great to have some block out blinds in the master bedroom to aid those lazy holiday sleep -ins, but the advantage of the sun was getting up early for beautiful walks. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us! Pip, Jamie and family.

Beach and Bush

We were looking for an escape with great views, bushy setting, and beach access and found it at Serendipity on the cliff top with tall gums below and an easy walk through to a safe swimming beach - Denham's beach - via track at end of the street. Also loved the private Denham's cove just below the house with plenty of rock pools to explore. Lots of space in the lounge and dining area for everyone to spread out and chill. The enclosed back entry is perfect for drying beach equipment after washing off under the outdoor shower. Walking distance along beach to cafe/ fish and chips, pizza and Chinese restaurants, or get supplies from the local IGA and use well equipped kitchen to cook for yourself. The house has a lovely fresh beach feel inside as shown in the pictures and catches the sea breeze well. Good vibes all round.

Great views but needs some small improvements

The property is nice with beautiful water views. Small things however would significantly improve the stay. 1. There are lots of cockroaches and spiders. This really needs to be sorted out. 2. A bit more generosity in terms of basic supplies such as soap, hand sanitiser, tissues, toilet paper, dish clothes, and coffee pods etc would make a difference. No-one wants to head to the shops to buy soap and toilet paper on arrival. 3. The bathroom floods when you use the shower. The lack of bath mats would help this, as would a new bathroom mop (left in the bathroom I presume to mop up the overflow) as it was filthy with previous guests hair etc.

A great experience

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was spacious enough for the entire family (2 adults 4 kids). The view from the back deck was fantastic, this area encorporates the BBQ and kitchen. The inside was well appointed with fresh paint and a great beach side feel. We were able to navigate the track at the back to reach the private beach below. A very short drive (2mins) and we could access denhams beach which was fantastic. The communication with the owner was fantastic and she was happy to help as I changed the booking shortly before our stay. Cons: the property is missing a couple of things that would have made our stay more enjoyable. There is no WiFi, this is a problem when 4 kids want to stream at the same time. The property is a bit dated from the outside and the games room downstairs has a but if a musty smell (this isn't really a problem as it is only the games room and after opening up the smell went really quickly). Also there are no cieling fans, exhaust fan in the bathroom or a front light. Overall I have given 4 stars and would be happy to stay again.

Wonderfully relaxing stay

Lovely property with wonderful views and walks close by. Many thoughtful touches to make guests feel at home and comfortable like games, great DVDs, lots of cushions and blankets. Communication was very warm, personable and accommodating. We would have liked the place a little cleaner. There were what looked like cat hairs in the dining and kitchen area, food residue in the sink and ants in the sugar jar when we arrived. Bathroom floor gets quite wet after a shower. A shower curtain may help. Other than that, we had a great time!

Perfect for a quiet relaxing getaway …

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Heather’s coastal retreat …. Even loved being inside on a cold, wet & windy afternoon as we were warm and able to read books, play games & jigsaw to our hearts content. Feeding & watching the birds, sunrise walks along the beach, browsing through the nearby “Coastal Garage”, eating pizza from “Holy Crust” are a few of our favourite memories. We particularly loved the quirky Coastal theme decor throughout “Serendipity”.

Watch the stairs

Photos of the property were accurate but only showed the best features of the house which is understandable. The photos did not show all the stairs - two flights to the front door and one flight to the back door. Luckily, the back steps are covered so when we left two days early due to the lack of adequate heating, we did didn't get wet by the rain. The location was excellent and there were lovely walks. Waking to the sunshine on the small balcony was wonderful as were the ocean views through the trees. The inadequate heating in cold snaps is something that future guests should consider.(There were extra blankets around the house which probably was an attempt to address this issue.) I suspect it would be good in summer but there was a lack of insulation in this very old home that has been tastefully decorated and was very clean apart from the smell emanating from the games-room downstairs that we did not enter.

Beautiful Easter Break

We had a lovely Easter break at Denham. Weather was great and the house was just gorgeous- fabulous views. Heather made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions very quickly. Would definitely go back if we have the opportunity.

Great view, strange smell.

Great place - lots of oceanfront character, however we unfortunately had terrible weather with storms and heavy rainfall during the start of our stay. As our stay progressed, an odour of what we thought was a mould smell became quite strong. It was so pungent we decided to leave the property early. The owner investigated after we left and said that the smell was coming from the ocean. I’m not convinced, as we could only smell it inside - but I hope the issue has now resolved. If you are sensitive to smells/asthma, it maybe something to be aware of.

What an amazing location… the weather was not in our favour, but, thanks to the vicinity of the sea and amazing views from the home, we were able to take advantage of breaks in the weather to make the most of our time away and have a great break. Do yourself a favour and book a holiday at Serendipity.

A beautiful place to relax

The property lived up to the expectations indicated by the photos. Fantastic views from the balcony. A visit from a very cute possum was very nice. The beach shack vibe without the inconvenience of an actual beach shack. We really enjoyed our stay and will visit again.
