Great fishing trip

Awesome place, great communication and we were able to do well on the fishing front. Lots of little fish of the dock although wind is pretty strong. All in all would highly recommend.

Great Camp

Very secluded camp, quiet, peaceful and great view of the lake. Short drive to the lake boat launch and about a 10 minute drive to the river.

Perfect family vacation place

Great place for a family vacation. Close to Alexandria Bay and Clayton. House was clean and lots of necessities. Fire pit was great. Dock was a plus!

Another Great Stay

Another great stay at the nicest place on Black Lake. House is super private, very well equipped and comfortable for the family and kids. Way, way nicer than where I used to stay on Black Lake growing up! Can't beat the fishing for all ages. 25-30 mins from A Bay.

Summer vacation

It was a great place for some time off. We enjoyed the time around the camp fire. The children enjoyed using the kayaks. Fishing was OK.

Black Lake

Property is in a perfect location. Secluded and beautiful view. Windows on the back of the house make for a perfect view of the sunrise over the lake. Property manager had great communication the whole time and really made sure we had a great stay. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Clean and beautiful!

House was very clean and very nicely maintained! Everything was in great working order and have the best private dock on the entire lake! Owner was extremely pleasant and quick to respond we really couldn't have asked for anything more!

Lovely lake location! House is well stocked with all the kitchen gadgets you could ever need. Communication with property manage was A+. We loved watching the eclipse here with the lake and woods! Sunrises here are gorgeous!

Great property, great location, great hosts.

My wife and I spent a week here and it could not have been more relaxing. The property is pretty secluded and private with plenty of room to spread out, and a fantastic dock for our boat. We were just steps away from those early morning or late afternoon fishing outings. Located close to a quaint little store/bait shop. The house is well equipped with everything you might need. The hosts were very responsive with any questions we had. They even helped us identify some great fishing spots which really helped. Don't miss out on this awesome place!

Perfect vacation spot

Out experience couldn't have been any better. The house was beautiful with plenty of room for our family (7 adults and 2 kids). Having direct lake access with a dock was important to us. For all of the fisherman out there....Black lack will not disappoint. A short 15 minute ride to Chippewa Bay, where we had a great day on a pontoon boat. Again, excellent fishing!!!! We recommend this home for a GREAT lake vacation :)

Fishing paradise

Black lake is the perfect place to stay to be close to 1000 Islands and not have all the crowds. The lake itself is beautiful, serene and surrounded by woods. It’s a great property. The house is quaint and has everything we needed. The Weber grill was a great addition and put the perfect sear on our steaks. The dock is gorgeous and they obviously spared no expense on it. We would without a doubt return. The lake was higher from the recent rain and storms which made fishing less than ideal so hopefully next time we have better conditions. Looking forward to coming up to ice fish for pile on the St Lawrence in winter.

Wonderful Lake Cabin

A fantastic refurbished lake cabin on Black Lake. The cabin has been recently redone, everything seems new and clean. If you want a great place to stay on Black Lake, consider this one. Charity, the owner, was extremely responsive and friendly. We had a small issue at check-in, and she was able to respond and resolve extremely quickly for us. Which is great, when you never know if the owner will respond to rental concerns. Our family of 5 slept well in the 3 bedrooms, the entire front of the house overlooks the lake with lots of windows. Kitchen is clean, new, and well-stocked. Most importantly, we liked this house enough to rent it again in the future!

The property was hands down the nicest I’ve stayed at utilizing VRBO. The house was immaculate, stocked with more than anyone could need. Terrific location with privacy and access to the lake. The house provided comfort in every room with wonderful views. All of the furniture and beds very comfortable. The kitchen was incredibly stocked with all modern appliances. Just plain wow. The host was responsive within minutes of my contacts. Answered all my questions and went out of her way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Let me say it again, just WOW!

Very nice and peaceful. Everything was exactly as described. View is great, so picturesque on the deck or when sitting at the fire pit. The moon light on the lake was beautiful as was the sunsets out on the boat. Having a private dock for the boat or just to fish from was great. Charity was very prompt on any questions asked. Could not ask for a nicer place to stay!!

House on the Lake

My family stayed here for a weekend getaway, to explore the 1000 Islands area. The house was clean, well stocked and a joy to stay in. It was the hottest days of summer so it was nice to be in an air conditioned home when we got to hot. My family was able to go out on the dock and catch fish many fish which was a thrill. I would recommend anyone to come and stay here.

Home had beautiful views, well equipped with everything we needed. Home and furnishings in excellent shape. We were impressed with all the extras such as spices, condiments, and hardware/ "junk" drawer, plenty of towels, cleaners, pots, pans etc. Loved sitting on deck with view of lake. Dock easy to navigate. Owner very friendly and accommodating. Would consider renting again.

Awesome Accommodation!

The greatest endorsement we can provide is that we would definitely go back. The property is beautiful and offers nice privacy to the lake. It is a great setting with large oaks overlooking the lake. The host has truly thought of everything and has the home very well stocked with essentials that you don't think about bringing when you travel in from 1500 miles away (as we did from Texas). The bedrooms are very nice, gathering areas and kitchen awesome, the deck has a remarkable view and the dock is exceptional (if you have a boat or rent a boat or if you have kayaks). The dock was probably the one aspect of the property that I didn't fully appreciate when booking--but it was an exceptional deep water dock if you have a boat. Overall, property is well cared for!
