Tämä on täydellinen koti viihdyttää tai vain rentoutua Madisonin vierailulla. Tilava neljän makuuhuoneen koti (jossa on lisävarusteena ulottuva 8 hengen lepotila), jossa on iso olohuone, ruokailutila ja perhehuone. Kaksi ja 1/2 kylpyhuonetta. Se on avoin pohjaratkaisu, jossa suuri lattiasta kattoon ulottuva takka avautuu sekä perhehuone ja olohuone. Suuri kääri ympärille kannella, jossa on kuisti ja suuri ulkotila. Aidattu pihalla. Kätevästi lähellä Madison itäpuolella (vain minuutin päässä keskustasta Madison) suurilla metsäinen paljon näkymät yksityinen lampi ja Koshkonong Creek. Nice palo kuoppaan. Runsas luonto. Helposti pääsee I 90, I 94 ja Beltline. Täydellinen lomat, perhejuhlia, hääjuhlia, urheilutapahtumia, yritystapahtumia ja retkiä.

Perfect gathering location

This house was so convenient and beautiful to host our wedding party weekend. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The best part for me was the views in the backyard. If there’s any improvements to be made, though specific to our visit, more full length mirrors would be nice to get ready for events. Otherwise lots of natural lighting, very comfy couches everywhere, it was practically perfect. Thanks to Richard for a great stay.

Downsized wedding

We booked this house for our large family to attend our daughter’s large wedding. 2020 altered our plans and the lovely house became the actual wedding venue attended by nine family members instead. There was room for distancing and conversation in the large living rooms and also around the gas fire on the screened porch. The spacious kitchen was just what we needed. It was a lovely stay!

Cottage Grove Stay

The house was bigger than what the pictures show with great views. Located close to Madison is comfortably fit our big group. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out and house was super clean and lots of towels, etc. I would stay again.

We had a great time but you need to be aware of some things.

1) Internet access was wrong on letter sent to us. 2) Soap in dispenser off of garage did not work. 3) No idea how to do outside lights. Label light switches would be very helpful. 4) Mouse droppings in drawer under stove and cabinet next to stove. We bought paper plates, cups, and plastic silverware to stay safe. 5) No towels for kitchen.

family get together

The house was big enough for our big family. We had several family members come just to eat dinner, and there was plenty of room for us all. The internet didn't work, so no one could use their tablets for work/school things, we tried to call the owner several times and only got voice mails, he never called back, but it too was a holiday weekend, he only gave us his office phone number. The kitchen was big enough for us to do all our cooking and over all for the big family and instead of hotel rooms, good value. would go back next year. One person had his hunting dogs, they were kept outside in the fenced in yard. Use the garage to get in and out of house was great too, since it was cold, didn't use the front door.

Comfortable and Accomodating

This house was great for accommodating a group of 13 adults and 3 children. The owner was very responsive to email and phone calls. Everything we needed was there, clean, and accessable. We had a great stay with beautiful sunrises!

AMAZING COTTAGE NEAR MADISON

I stayed at this house for a weekend either a group of 11 of my friends for a bachelor party. This house exceeded our expectations and more! There were enough beds for the majority of us, 3 or 4 bathrooms, a large kitchen that was well-stocked with utensils and everything else you would need to cook large meals, and a big gas grill in the garage which was amazing because we grilled most of our food. Richard the host was great as he laid out the directions on how to get to the cottage and how to use the smalls things like the coded lock on the front door. I would definitely recommend this cottage to any large groups in the future for any sort of events!

Great for a large group!

This house was great for our group of friends over the New Years weekend. The gathering space was large enough that we could all be together and the double-sided fireplace was great to have when the weather was so cold! The kitchen was well equipped and the house has everything you might need. Richard was very responsive and provided lots of helpful information upfront. Would definitely rent this home again!

Family Christmas

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house. Beautiful location and the house has so many amenities. We took full advantage of the fire place and the ready store of wood provided. Plenty of dishes and space for our group of 15. The house was very clean and had very nice furnishings. The landlord was on top of things when we had a little bit of snow and was readily available to answer questions as we got in. The nicest surprise was a decorated Christmas tree! I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Wonderful home to share our holiday with family and friends!

We absolutely enjoyed our annual friends and family holiday in this fantastic home! There were plenty of beds (very comfortable) for all and then some. Plenty of parking and we appreciated the use of the garage too. The place is very spacious and welcoming. We were able to have multiple board games going on throughout the house with all of the tabletops and chairs. The kitchen had plenty of needed items to make our turkey dinner. There were four bathrooms, which was helpful for our large group, and the owners were thoughtful enough to have a basket of soaps in case we forgot our own for showering (which I did). Plenty of towels and cloths as well. The tub was great for bathing our child and we noticed a baby bathtub in the cabinet if she had been much smaller as well (how sweet!). One couple had a dog and after notifying the owners of this fact, I noticed they had put out bowls for food and water. So sweet! Overall, we thought the home was fantastic and plan to stay there again in the future! Thank you!

Beautiful home -- but with some maintenance issues

Our three generation family of ten (with two dogs) spent Thanksgiving in this home. The house offers plenty of space, is beautifully furnished, and has great, comfortable beds in all the bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped, and we had no problem cooking a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. There was even plenty of wood for the fireplace. The location is lovely, and we especially enjoyed the light streaming in the kitchen windows every morning as the sun rose over the wetlands. There was even a wild turkey on Thanksgiving morning! Renters should be aware that there are lots of steps in this house: 7-8 steps to either the upper or lower sleeping areas; two steps (with no railings) down into the living room; two steps to the main floor half bath. That is not a problem for most people, but it was challenging for the elders in our group and should be considered for anyone with mobility issues. We were concerned about the routine maintenance in this house. We had no heat (only the fireplace) for 18 hours until a technician arrived; the sewer pipes were clogged causing water to back up from the floor drain onto the basement floor when people used showers; the fittings on a toilet tank were loose causing water to leak onto the floor of the master bath; the soap dispenser in the dishwasher is broken. While any one of these issues can unexpectedly afflict any homeowner, the fact that there were several makes us hope that the owner will pay closer attention to maintenance in the future so that renters can enjoy the beautiful space without worries.

Relaxing home with great view

This was a great home for our extended family vacation. Awesome common areas, ample table seating, great outdoor decks, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed -- was excellent for adults as well as toddlers. We also appreciated Richard setting up a crib for the baby that was with us as well as personally going to home after we left to look for an item we forgot. Thank you for sharing your home and for the outstanding Wisconsin hospitality!

A large and comfortable home with privacy and beautiful views!

A very nice home rental for our extended family of 10. We were all in the area for a family wedding and found this home to be large and comfortable. It was a nearly perfect place to spend time together before and after the celebration. It was set back in the woods and felt very private. The views of Koshkonong Creek from the deck were beautiful. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog. The owner was always very responsive to any questions I had. We did experience some issues with shower water temperatures varying from scalding hot to ice cold when more than one person showered at the same time. This would not be a big enough issue for me to change my 5 - star rating of this beautiful home.

Perfect place for a group

Weekend get-together

I planned a get together with some old friends here and we had a great time. The rental was perfect for what we needed. We wanted a place big enough for the 8 of us, and with some nice outdoor space to grill and play yard games. This place worked perfectly for all of those things. With all the couches we could have easily hosted even more people. The place is stocked with all the extra little things that are easy to forget when packing. The kitchen was fully stocked with all dishes and utensils you would need to cook just about anything. The view out the back of the house to the marshy area is pretty awesome and the house is pretty well surrounded by trees so you get a pretty good sense of privacy during your stay.
