Nice simple place. Not too close to Main Street but very walkable to dining and shop places. Beach is a bit of a hike. If you want beach, get closer area. We rented e-bikes from shop just down the street…very convenient. Close to park too. Was a great location for us and what we wanted.

The location was superb — an easy walk to everything. Street parking was pretty easy when the spots available to this property were full. The apartment was also very clean and more spacious than we expected.

Fantastic spot for girls trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My daughter and I visited Carmel for the first time in September and it will not be the last! It wasn’t as crowded in mid September and we enjoyed all the shops, galleries and restaurants. We loved Nora’s for dining. Be sure to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Nepenthe in Big Sur.The property was perfectly located - close enough to walk to everything but far enough from the noise. Everything was as expected and the host made it very welcoming - extra blankets and fans, robes, fully stocked kitchen and clear instructions. I noticed on previous reviews that the shower water pressure was low but I assure you that has been fixed! I would definitely stay here again!

Sept 2026Pros:1. Sanctuary vacation rentals is an excellent company. They made the checkin/check out smooth. Helped during the stay and their communication is top notch. I would 100% rent a property from them again. Any issues/questions they respond right away.2. Location was a 103. Size of the place. Spacious plus having a kitchen is nice.Cons:1. Restaurant next door plays music (although subtle) at 8am2. Street parking is only for 2 hrs during the day 8am to 7pm (pretty easy to get)3. The shower is awful, however Sanctuary did say they are having it fixed. Double check before you rent4. Thin walls but also understandable for an older place5. Decor could use an update

Girls Trip!

Parking was not as much of an issue as i anticipated. There is a parking lot near by and always found a spot. This apartment and location was perfect for our girls trip. Just the right size.

Great location in Carmel! We walked everywhere every day! The walk down to the beach is nice but the hill coming back up might be difficult for older or disabled people. There seemed to be plenty of free parking, but it is limited to 2 hours. The kitchen had everything we needed, including an electric kettle for pour over coffee which we brought. We stayed in the king bed in the main room, preferring it to the bedroom which seemed kind of dark during the day. The skylights made the main room nice and bright, but did wake us up early. Staying in the bedroom would have prevented this. This unit is hosted by a private company and all communication had to go through their website/app, which I did not like. I would have preferred to use VRBO to track everything. Overall we would definitely stay here again! The location was perfect and the welcome bottle of wine and snacks were a nice touch.
