Hi Angela, We sincerely thank you for sharing your kind and insightful message on your recent stay at our retreat. We are very happy that your experience was a memorable one.
This house is unique and we had a great time there. The living room and kitchen are actually fully open to the outside. It was quite hot but it wasn't particularly inconvenient because of the strong wind that was blowing almost all the time. We saw monkeys, iguanas and other wildlife right up close. We also loved the nearby beaches.
Great place to get away from it all
A wonderful retreat well away from the busy city life. Hosts were great at communicating and everything was as we had expected. The visits from the monkeys were an added treat. Great for a quiet escape and within range of some good beaches and small towns.
This property is something you won't soon forget. Our first reactions was a little overwhelmed with the large frog in the toilet and the flying cockroach and lizards, but very soon we made friends with the frogs and the lizards and also met the many iguanas that lived in the area (lucky for us the flying cockroach did not come back). We heard monkeys very nearby each morning and were lucky enough to see more than 10 of them in a bunch of trees one morning on our way out. We found reading all the info was helpful, we learned to leave a light on downstairs at dusk and keep the bedroom and bathroom doors closed to keep the bugs in check. We did have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, and with that had no problems getting around the area. Prepare to drive on lots of dirt roads. There are some beautiful beaches in the area. You shouldn't miss out on the patacones at latinos restaurant and a late lunch at Lolas on the beach. This house is the perfect place for a little adventure and a lot of peace and serenity.
SUCH a treat to stay in this gorgeous treehouse! I don't think the pictures do it justice! It is a beautiful area, quiet and serene. The top of the treehouse has hammocks and chairs - a perfect place to start our day with meditation. My husband I enjoyed listening to the wind in the trees and feeling it come right into the house! Truly an incredibly unique experience!
A quiet, peaceful, rural area. Non-touristy. Great place to escape to. Located in a 250 acre eco-reserve. Close to several incredible beaches.
