Luxurious recently-renovated detached dwelling in Waipahihi Bay, 3 minutes' walk from the lakefront and a 4 minute drive from central Taupo. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, this apartment is brand-new as of late 2019, and is perfect for a couple looking for a relaxing getaway, plus a double sofa bed. Free off-street parking is available immediately outside, and bicycles are available to explore the area. Sunset views of the lake and mountains are visible from the front of the property and main house. ( roll away sofa bed is in the bedroom ... all beds in one room) Please don't drive up driveway as access and turn around is very tight. Plenty of parking out front.

My son and I had a great stay at this property while in Taupo for a football tournament. Jeremy the host was very welcoming and helpful with our arrival and set up. The room was warm, beds comfortable and the shower has great water pressure, also well located for food and shopping.

Taupō was stunning and this unit was in close proximity to everything (e.g. beach, eateries, shopping, etc.) It’s also only an hour or so to Tongiriro National Park - for hiking or snow sports. Nice modern apartment, perfect for solo travellers, couples or even a family (due to a pull out sofa bed). Lovely courtyard area with chairs to relax on warm days.

Recently widowed. We built a new 3 bedroom house on site, and in 2019 I completely gutted and renovated the attached apartment. Self standing one large bedroom , one bathroom, plus generous kitchen / living space , very fully outfitted. New insulation , plumbing, electric wiring , the apartment has two large sliding windows opening onto a courtyard. Car parking and garage and access for a small car. Larger car suggest park out front. I love hosting and have been in the travel business all my life, so looking after people is a natural interest.

Why they chose this property

Located very centrally....2.5kms walk to centre of Taupo. View of the lake and across the lake to Mounts Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe. ( Not from the apartment which faces onto a courtyard.) Easy access to the main highway, and all facilities of Taupo, but peaceful location in a safe cul de sac.
