Cozy family-oriented vacation home outside of Monterrey. Enjoy a comfortable stay in a pet-free/smoke-free mid-century/modern home.
Enjoy your food in the outdoor living space step out to read a book from a vast selection in the library room.
Plenty of room to spread out in the property including 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, please note that all bedrooms and bathrooms are on the 2nd floor
No need for A/C @ Sumner time, for winter's months' central heat will keep you warm and comfortable while watching big-screen television in the family room.
The vacation home is situated in Marina (not ocean view or beachfront) just a 20-minute drive Southbound brings you to the historical Monterey Cannery row, Fisherman's Wharf, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Pebble Beach, the scenic 17-mile drive, the beautiful city of Carmel with its many specialty shops, restaurants, art galleries, its historical Carmel mission and the famous Carmel beach. Take a short drive to the north to enjoy the city of Santa Cruz with its beach Boardwalk and renovated downtown, the Redwood Forest and state parks. A few more miles to the north to visit the Silicon Valley and then move forward to San Francisco to enjoy all the beauty that this cosmopolitan city has to offer.

Perfect for our Family

Everything was great, the beds are comfortable, the location was great, easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. The neighborhood is quiet. The Home is super clean and Griselda is wonderful, easy to work with, she went out of her way to help make our vacation great. We would stay here again when we return to Monterey Bay .

Mingus Wedding

This is a wonderful property. It is in a perfect location to get easily to Monterey, Carmel and beaches. It is easy access to places like target and grocery stores. Plenty of room for the family to enjoy. Comfortable beds and very clean. The kitchen is amazing. If you choose to stay here you won’t be disappointed. We loved it.

Property is close to everything. Very clean very home feel like. Griselda is amazing always checking on us to make sure we were happy and if we had any questions. The kids had a great time. Lots of took outside for them to run around and play. We will definitely come back and stay here again.

golf getaway

The house was clean and tidy. Plenty of linens and blankets. There is no bathroom on the ground floor. There is only 1 shower. The rooms are spacious. The house is located close to shopping and the golf courses we played.

The hosts were very gracious; we had everything we needed and then some. The bathroom was stocked with toothbrushes, toothpaste, q-tips, and cotton balls. The house was clean and comfortable; thank you for a great stay.

things you should know

property was clean and beds were comfortable -not adequately supplied with towels -- because there's no washer/dryer and no hooks, just towel bars -- no chance to dry towels -- -picture of linen closet doesn't look like that--children's toys and throw pillows fill that closet -fireplace didn't work -- said previous tenant lost the key and it hadn't been replaced --shouldn't have been put in description if it doesn't work -noisy stairs -- metal strips put on upside down so they click loudly -poor lighting in upstairs hall -- without nightlight -upstairs tv not set to be used by others -- set up for gaming and no way to easily change -- if it's difficult,should provide instructions -only one side of toaster worked without holding handle down -no fire pit outside in back as shown in picture -even thought a phone # was listed for owner, no vm set up and only would respond to email --we had a nice time in Monterey-and the house was pretty comfortable but comments such as mine have been left before, and the changes haven't been made

Exactly as listed perfect for our needs

Overall a perfect property for our needs only recommendations would be to remove the soaking tub and add another shower and a bathroom on the main floor. Aside from that property was lovely.

We love this house! My wife and I along with our 2 young children (ages 3 & 7) and our best couple friends stayed for 3 nights. The kitchen is well equipped. We cooked all our meals in house. We forgot to bring coffee but luckily the hosts provide coffee and a coffee maker. The beds were luxurious. The sheets were super clean and pillow super fluffy. The house is pretty much baby proof. They have tons of games and toys for kids. The also have a well stocked library housed in a separate building. The locations is 9 minutes from Marina state beach, 12 minutes from Monterey bay aquarium and 14 minutes from Whalers Cove. Our stay was perfect!

Short stay but a sweet experience

Loved the property! It had a lot of personality and character. My family really enjoyed it but we all wished we could have stayed longer. We didnt get to enjoy the fireplace since the key to the gas was missing. The property owner was very responsive to my queries. Overall, we would definitely stay again!

What a great property for our family

This place was just perfect for our family of 6 with 4 little kids. It was spacious and had plenty of outdoor space for the kids to run around in. The host was great throughout the whole process checking in to make sure our stay was excellent. The property had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We will definitely be returning next time we are in the Monterey area!

Charmingly Quaint

Just right for our family. Spacious enough for people to have some space if they want down time, but also designed for family interaction with a large dining room table and large living room with couches. We had three vehicles; there was plenty of parking. Clean, quiet neighborhood.

It is an older home with great character, its kitchen and hallway bath recently renovated, it is spacious and in a quiet, clean and safe neighborhood (elementary school behind the property, enjoy the children's laughter during their recess) the home is located in the Monterey Bay the most beautiful place on earth with clean air and amazing beaches, trails and landscapes.

Relax and rejuvenate in the sunken tub,(tub only no shower head) while watching a movie on the big screen TV in the master bedroom, enjoy reading a book in the library room, enjoy the outdoors, a walk on the beach, the many trails, local shops, and restaurants.
