Excellent Rental Property

I have rented a lot of vacation homes over several decades, and this might be my favorite of all time. Perfect for a couple or a small family. Amenities were above adequate, view was amazing, and the private beach entry made me never want to leave. All the furniture has been updated since the pictures were taken for the listing, so that was an added bonus. This is my first time renting anything through VRBO, and the check in and check out procedures were as simple as I have ever experienced. A++++

Beautiful Location...

This was our second stay here. Beautiful location, nice house with adequate supplies for staying for a few days. There was a major winter storm that knocked out power most of the time we were there. Our only issue was that the home owner had little preparation for loss of power...just a large battery that I guess a lamp could be plugged into, or would allow us to charge our cell phone. But no working flashlights or lantern. The battery lost its charge pretty quickly. Luckily we didn't mind running into Florence for some emergency gear as soon as we arrived in the late afternoon. Also, the second day a neighbor was very helpful by checking on us and letting us recharge the emergency battery with their generator (it was a multi day power outage). The neighbors made it sound as though power outages are fairly common in that little community, so I'd think the little house would be better prepared. Now, I know to be prepared myself if we decide to rent there again.

Totally Relaxing Stay

We had a very relaxing stay. The house was comfortable and well-equipped. What an amazing ocean view from the huge living room window! And, best of all it was only 75 steps to a private ocean beach! Very nice place.

Great Private Beach Getaway

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay. The furniture, carpeting, rugs and dishwasher are all brand new. The mattresses were comfortable and the house clean. We appreciated the washer and dryer, as well as all the household additions that made the stay comfortable. Set a bit farther off the highway, the nights were quiet. The beach may not be the most scenic in the area, yet the location is close to at least a dozen of some of the most beautiful beaches Oregon has to offer. Our children enjoyed collecting seashells during low tide from the rock formations, and we enjoyed the solitude of the beach overall. Our location was perfectly convenient for visiting Yachats, Heceta head lighthouse, the sea lion caves and some of the state parks. Overall, we enjoyed the quietude and peace this little rental provided. We would definitely stay again.

Very strong dog smell

Place is as advertised, but I would not stay here again unless I am desperate to stay with a pet. The living room space smells very strongly of wet dog. Even after placing the provided dog bed outside, the downstairs smelled very strongly of wet dog. The smell was bad enough that we did not hang out in the living room if we could help it. The positives of this place are that the beds are comfortable, it has lovely views and is very quiet. If you have bad knees or hips, note that the stairs could be challenging. Lastly, internet is non-existent in this area, unless you are connected to the provided wifi. This means you need to make sure you have directions BEFORE driving to the condo.

Great location

The view from this property is great and access to the beach was fantastic. But everything else was just mediocre. When we arrived at the the check-in time, the unit had not been cleaned, with dirty laundry and trash left from previous guests. We did find someone from the maid service cleaning another unit who was kind enough to help us, but she said the property owner had never even told her someone would be staying in our unit, so someone dropped the ball. In terms of the home itself, the furniture does not at all match the provided photos. All of the rugs are very worn out/dirty and there was dog hair all over the couch. The queen bed has been moved to the loft area (contrary to photos), which got pretty hot despite the outdoor temperature hovering around 60F. We left the windows open throughout the stay, as there is no AC in the unit, but it would have been nice for a portable fan to be available. Some sand obviously was tracked in, as this home is on the beach, but the broom in the unit was so frayed that you couldn't even sweep up any of the sand. A few mindful touches for comfort and cleanliness would go a long way in this place.

Tranquil oasis

Beautiful location. Absolutely quite besides the sound of the ocean and wind. Clean and comfortable for a couple. Highly recommended!

Serene retreat

I had a wonderfully restful stay at this adorable cottage by the sea. Just a short walk to an often deserted beach, and some beautiful agates found during my strolls! There was no cell service but the WiFi was excellent. Good food recommendations in the nearby town center. The main living room seating was a chair and loveseat which perfectly met my needs but might be a little snug for a bigger group. I enjoyed my stay so much I’m already planning for a return trip!

Great with minor issues

Key code on door had battery issues so we couldn’t get back in. Had to get code from host for outside lockbox for actual key. No access to take out garbage properly. Spiral staircase is not compatible for pets or for people with disabilities. Space is really only suitable for 2-3 people unless you have a couple kids to banish upstairs. We DID have a good time though. Location is superb!

A get away

Had a terrific - and quiet time (as we had hoped) on the coast of Oregon. Perfectly located north of Florence near some site seeing and hiking but without any noise nearby. Close to amazing restaurants - yes amazing Perfectly place - would do again

Beach Access

Beautifully located right on the coastline! Huge front windows let you enjoy the rolling waves 24/7. Convenient beach access if you’re good with stairs. House was clean, well appointed and comfortable. We appreciated that it was dog friendly! Nearby neighbors were welcoming and cordial. I would definitely stay here again!

Coast stay

My husband and I stayed here with our 1 year old daughter. It was very clean and a cute house. The beach was perfect. It was close to everything you would need. Would definitely stay here again

Special spot!

I loved the beach and the unit! My teen boys loved having the loft to themselves and the view was spectacular from the house. The stock of games was much appreciated also. The beach was nice and quiet... very few people. Overall a great spot!

Fantastic location and views

Great property with a fantastic location, deck, and views. Had a nice grassy area for the dogs and was a perfect spot to enjoy the Oregon Coast.

Very attractive stay.

We spent 3 nights in this cottage. Absolutely wonderful view and great access to an almost deserted beach. Unfortunately, we were there over an exceptionally cold spell so the cottage was a little cold. The sunny (but cold) days made up for it! Everything we needed we provided - it is well equipt.

Third stay just as great as the others!

This is our 3rd stay in the cottage. We love it here and will be back. The beds are comfy, the view can't be beat, and the beach is perfect. I love that you have access to a beach that very few people can get to. There's lots to explore on the beach and I found many great agates. Even though there are several cottages located right next to each other, only 2 others were occupied during our time here. Some upgrades have been made since our last stay and those are much appreciated. I really like the new table. The only small negative I have is two of the huge front windows were really dirty on the outside. Almost like something slid down the front of them. I cleaned them right after we arrived because it interfered with the view.

Perfect Location

You really can’t beat this location for a Yachats getaway. We had the beach practically to ourselves and the house had everything we could have needed.

October Stay

Everything was just as pictured. Very nice. Kids would love the upstairs loft. It was farther away from the town on a winding road but very close to state park. Check in time is 4:00 but when we got there at 5:00 they just finishing the cleaning and all the towels were left in the dryer. Ceiling fan in master bedroom was broken and light very dim. They should probably replace it. Overall good experience and would stay again.
