Beach Side HideAway - Pet Friendly, WiFi, Smart TV, Central Heat/AC, Parking

Come stay in our smaller Sudio/Efficiency apartment. This gem of a unit is tucked away in the lower level of a larger Beach-Side home.

It has its own entrance/exit and it's own parking outside the door. Very private as nothing is shared.

It has a full size kitchen and a full laundry room with washer/dryer. A full size bathroom with stand up luxury shower. It has a queen bed and a large smart TV with WiFi. The space has central Heat/AC.

We have added a "sleeper sofa" Queen Size, for additional capacity. As is usual with these type of "beds" they are probably less comfortable than a normal bed and are more appropriate for kids.

This private, cozy unit is just steps away from the beach. There are no streets to cross, just a one minute walk to some of the best beaches the Chesapeake Bay has to offer! With a private entrance and private off- street parking, we are proud to offer this to anyone travelling light who does not need an abundance of space.

Quiet hours begin at 9 PM.

This is a Family/Residential unit and area. No loud music or noise.

The accommodation was clean and for the most part provided basic needs. We did not realize it was a basement apartment with no windows.

Livable, but a little dingy. After we arrived, local friends told us that it's not the safest neighborhood. They were concerned when they learned we went out for a late evening stroll along the avenue.

Lovely Hidden Escape

The space was very clean and literally right next to the beach. I felt very safe and had no issues with the neighbors or area.

Cozy Studio

This little studio apartment was very cozy and very clean. Having a washer and dryer was very convenient. Would be nice having some natural light, as unless you walk to the beach (just a couple minutes away) you wouldn't know you were at the beach. I would recommend the pull out coach be updated, but everything else was great. And the landlords were very responsive and accommodating when I needed to extend my stay for 2 nights.

Great get away.

The place was in a shady area were car parks. It's a open floor space which my dog loved. He was having a great time with his toys. The convenience is all there nice shower well lite bathroom. You had a frig, washer and dryer, space to hang your stuff.smart TV. Well lite kitchen and dining combo area.the whole place just felt cozy. Picked this place to stay because was looking for a new apt.my dog is a emotional support dog which I had to pay a extra $99.00 .A service dog pays nothing if it provides some sort of service to you. Wish I could of stayed longer but was unable to. The neighborhood was quiet.

Loved the beach away from a lot of crowds

This was a very nice place away from the crowded area of Virginia Beach. The place was just perfect for the 4 of us and the setup was cute. Had TV with internet to enjoy the evenings after the beach and everything we needed to cook our own meals. The beach was beautiful and literally only a one minute walk. It was a very cozy place. The only downside was the first 2 nights from 7pm till roughly 11:30 pm the people above us were so loud it scared my grandbabies and our dog. The grandbabies couldn't go to sleep, they kept asking what was happening. We thought people were fighting. Normally I can deal with this but it was so bad my husband said he would never come back. We even wondered if the people lived there and were intentionally banging on the floors because they didn't want vacationers there. The floors must have been hardwood floor’s because it was so disturbingly loud. I saw that quiet hours started at 9pm so this really surprised me as we tried to be extremely quiet. Im not sure if these people lived in the unit or they were vacationers also. They would also get up at around 7am and make loud banging and stomping noise till about 9am. Felt like we were in a house with construction going on. If it weren't for that I would have rated this place perfect. The last night it was quiet and finally got good sleep and we noticed different cars so maybe the other people were vacationing so I would come here again and hope for better nights for getting rest. It was worth giving it a second chance.

This was our 2nd year back to this location and we love it. Everything was perfect.

Excellent communication. Great location and steps from the beach. Very clean and equipped apartment. We will definitely stay there again!!

Convenient

This "single room" place is on the beach side of the road and had close access to public beach entrance. Could not ask for a better location without being right on the beach itself. Accepted pets. Clean and had basic furnishings and kitchen needs. Provided sheet and towels for you, had a washer and dryer. Nice spot in the shade to park car. The main bed was comfortable for a futon. Did not use the sleeper couch. Light sleepers may be bothered by some street noise and anytime the top level renter accesses their garage.

Great for a quick getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. While it was small, it was exactly as advertised and we appreciated being so close to the beach without the exorbitant cost. The apartment is basically one room (plus laundry room and bathroom), so there is very little privacy, but there was enough floor space to bring an air mattress so that our kids did not have to share the sleep sofa. The host was responsive to some issues we had with the AC and it was great to be able to bring our dog. It's a bit of a drive to many restaurants (we did not try to the brewery across the street, though it looked nice) and the street is not so scenic, but there are nice neighborhoods for walking the dog once you get a block back. The stretch of beach was very nice and not crowded. Do be aware that the walk over the hill sand to get to the beach is a bit steep requires some balance, but there is a public access boardwalk just a bit down the street if that is an issue. It was great to have laundry and the full kitchen. Not the place if you are looking to do the "touristy" thing, but our goal was some relaxing beach time, and it was great for that. We'd definitely stay again.

Great Weekend Getaway with Friends!

This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway with friends! There were four of us and there was plenty of space to sleep on the pullout couch as well as have a queen size air mattress on the floor. There was one building in between the property and the beach, so you couldn't see the beach from the property, but after you walk around it, the beach is literally in your backyard! There weren't very many people on the beach in the area. It's about a 25-30 minute drive to the main Virginia Beach area, so it isn't too bad. The parking was a little bit of a tight squeeze and you probably couldn't bring more than two cars. The property only provides two sets of towels, so if you plan on staying be sure to bring extra towels. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would stay here again!!

Great for small family

We absolutely loved staying there. It’s only seconds away from the beach and it’s pet friendly. It was our first time to the beach with our pets and we have a small baby that traveled with us. This place was great for it. Definitely booking there again

Fantastic Getaway

The Cottage Line was the best location vacation rental we have had since coming to the area every year for over 9 years. Very clean, full kitchen and washer and dryer were a huge plus. A quick walk to the beach without crossing any streets. Nice and private and away from all the hustle nd bustle.

Great Place to stay with direct beach access!

This place was great for our trip. Great food, festivals, breweries and beaches! All perfect! Direct beach access. The apartment was clean and spacious. Check in/out was super easy, and the owner was great. The people here are very friendly. We will be visiting again.

Fantastic experience

Enjoyed a four night stay at this property and will definitely be back. Very clean and great beach access. Shaded off street parking was appreciated. Loved the large open space and made use of the well equipped full kitchen with modern appliances. Also had the largest smart TV I’ve ever seen. The owners respond promptly to any questions.

So close to the beach & pet perfect

Spur of the moment trip to visit the botanical gardens and the beach. Perfect place for my elderly dog who was traveling with my sister and I. The apartment was clean, everyone was helpful and the beautiful beach was a stone’s throw away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Nice place

There was a bit of confusion with our booking. The property was double booked because it was listed on multiple platforms. The other tenants had cancelled but the owner was not sure if they would show up or not. He offered us another property he owned just in case the other tenants showed up. After seeing the other property and talking with the owner we decided to just take the original property anyway. Check in was very easy. The apartment looked exactly like it did on the website. The furniture could be updated. The table and chairs were very wobbly. The pullout sofa was super uncomfortable. Even as a couch it was awful. We ended up buying an air mattress to sleep on. The apartment could have been cleaned a little better. When we got the pullout ready the first night there was popcorn, French fries and even a press on finger nail underneath. It was a little gross and considering I had my 18 month old with us I was a little upset. The toilet paper holder was off the wall. We booked for 4 nights and there were only two towels, two washcloths and two partial rolls of toilet paper. We hadn’t planned on doing laundry but we had to go buy detergent so we could wash our towels daily. Overall it was a great place but I feel like it could be better.

This is the perfect place to stay as you visit historic Norfolk. The naval base is just minutes away as is the zoo. The Chesapeake Bay beaches are just a short 30 second walk away. Many fine restaurants are close as well as night spots!
