Sleeping accommodations are as follows: Bedroom#1 and #2 each have a queen bed. Bedroom#3 is a flexible room that can serve as an office or smaller bedroom which has a futon. The living room has two sleeper sofas.
This cozy cabin is located steps from the beautiful waters of Saratoga Lake where you have access to a 160 ft long dock to park your boat, kayak or other water sporting equipment (this is a shared dock). Please note that this is not a lake frontage property but is literally a few steps from the lake!
We also take incredible care of our guests to think outside the box and have made special arrangements for our guests where you will get a COMPLIMENTARY two person full day pass for any kayak, standup paddleboard or tandem (double kayak) on beautiful Saratoga Lake (typically available from Memorial Day through Labor Day), just a short drive from the property where you’ll also get special discounts when staying with us for renting pontoon boats, jet skis and other fun watercraft to explore and enjoy this amazing lake. While enjoying this special amenity, don’t forget to stop by some of the specialty lakeside dining and entertainment that happens at Dock Browns which has huge outdoor entertaining tent with bands during the track season, Carson’s Woodside Tavern with multiple firepits and amazing bands throughout the weekend, Lago by Druthers (formerly 550 Waterfront) – a resort feel waterfront restaurant with firepits, lakeside Adirondack chairs, a bar that wraps from the interior to exterior with sweeping lake views and other great options while you’re at the lake!
Here are a few items that you'll be able to enjoy during your stay:
Here are 5 things you must do when visiting Saratoga Lake:
1) Visit Brown's Beach
Brown's beach is one of the only public swimming spot on saratoga lake. This community favorite swimming spot was closed for roughly a decade and recently has been opened to the public again. It has a shallow launch area and is great area for learning any type of water sport. Picnic and volleyball area is available.
2) Rent a boat or kayak South Shore Marina, literally a short walk from the property!
What better way to experience Saratoga Lake during the summer than to rent a boat, kayak or paddleboard? There are also other marinas and locations where you can rent boats, kayaks and paddle boards, such as Salvi Aquatic Boat Rentals, Point Breeze Marina, Lees Park, The Kayak Shak, among others.
3) Go fishing
Saratoga lake boasts one of the best fishing spots in the region. The lake is excellent for bass fishing and the deepest section of the lake is 96 feet. The lake is also stocked with over 8 million walleye. The weed beds framing the shoreline are great for anglers fishing northern pike. Around for the winter? Ice fishing is also permitted - make sure to check out the annual ice fishing derby.
4) Take an afternoon to golf
If you are an avid golfer, the Saratoga Lake golf club is a beautiful resort in the heart of the Adirondacks. Play 18 holes overlooking the peaceful lake and join an annual tournament. And if you are a part of the new New York golf trail, the Saratoga Lake golf course has recently been added.
5) Never stop exploring
• Saratoga Lake is home to rural canoe, kayak, and nature trails, snaking through the Kayaderosseras Creek and ending in the Saratoga Lake, giving you access to fish creek and lake lonely. The trail offers relatively mild paddling in the spring and autumn with several opportunities for whitewater when the river runs high.
• Saratoga Springs (“The Spa City) is just a short drive away. Explore the wonderful downtown and then come back to the house for incredible views, fishing, boating, jet skiing, water skiing or simply relaxing! Here are a few of the fun activities and places to enjoy in Saratoga Springs:
Restaurants near the house:
• Carson’s Woodside Tavern - great food, outdoor fire pits, fun vibe and entertainment on the weekend (short drive from the property)
• Dock Browns (next to Brown’s Beach) - waterfront dining with gorgeous lake views!
• Nostalgia Ale House & Wine Bar …next to South Shore Marina…just a short walk from the property!
• Panza’s Restaurant (next to Dock Browns)
• 550 Waterfront – brand new lakefront restaurant located at the north end of Saratoga Lake – great food, fire pits and incredible charm!
• Prime at Saratoga National Golf Club – World-class golfing and incredible dining with beautiful views, fire pits and water fountains!
• Brown’s Beach – very cool place with a nice beach, roped off swimming area and a nice restaurant that overlooks the lake with great outdoor dining. Here’s some more information:
