Our beachside studio, is like having your own boutique hotel suite to enjoy the coastal lifestyle Kapiti is famous for. Located opposite the Kapiti Island ferry departure zone and our beautiful walking beach. It’s the perfect place to catch Kapiti’s famous sunsets.

Privately set at the back of our property, you’ll be completely independent, separate and comfortable with a small kitchenette with microwave, 50 inch smart TV with fast internet and Chromecast.

Bathed in summer sunshine, enjoy a glass of wine on your own private deck and feel free to pick the superb lemons for your water, G&T’s or cocktails.

Adventure awaits, we are located opposite the Ferry departure zone to our world class bird sanctuary and native bush walks on Kapiti Island. There are also many other fabulous walks close by, the jewel being the fabulous Kapiti Escarpment Walk, native bush walks, cycling tracks, the world renowned Southwards Car Museum and of course our magnificent Paraparaumu Golf Club is just a stroll around the corner.

Foodies can discover abundant local produce by visiting many producers open for visitors, like Tuatara Brewery, Waikanae Crab, Kapiti cheese, Limencello, olive groves, if you’re here on a Saturday morning, wander down to our farmers market for great breakfast treats, fresh produce, honey, eggs, fish, gourmet meats, artisan bakers, pickles, jams, preserves, crafts and music.

Enjoy a 5 minute stroll along Marine parade to get fish & chips for dinner at the beach, stop for a drink or cocktail or sample our many restaurants, bars, cafes and eateries catering for all tastes including italian, vegan, Indian, Thai, Roasts, Turkish, sushi, pizza, fish & chips.

Completely independent from our home, with designated off street guest parking, you are able to self check-in anytime after 3pm (potentially earlier by prior arrangement only). We are around most of the time but you probably won’t see us unless you feel like a chat or we can help in anyway. Our windows don’t overlook the guest house, so you feel comfortable and private. Our cat is on the property, usually keeps to himself but may wander past.

My private view of the sea!

I could not be happier with my month staying at Joy’s unit/bach. Having a private patio with sun and shade and a lemon tree, is a memory I’ll treasure once back in the UK!The bed was really good, kitchen facilities well thought out, and the shower room perfect. Joy was to hand if I needed anything, and my little home was serviced weekly.

well presented property in an excellent location

Relaxing beach accommodation

Lovely Holiday at the Beachside Studio

We loved our holiday at the Beachside studio. . It had privacy and a nice view, close to restaurants and a walk away from the beach. The shower was absolutely amazing with the water pressure, great bed and bedding, cute little outdoor area and we kept warm with the heatpump. We had everything we needed and Joy responded quickly if we had any questions or queries. Loved the small touches like makeup remover in the bathroom, wipes, milk for coffee, beach towels, chromecast for easy streaming and recommendations for restaurants. 10/10 would definitely stay again. 😊

The location was perfect for us, easy walking distance from the beach, shop, restaurants etc. Lovely and very comfortable, Joy was awesome to deal with. Will look at staying their again for a weekend get away.

Perfect place!

This studio was perfect for me and my spoodle whilst we were on Granny duties in Paraparaumu. Very comfortable and great shower. Lots of little extra touches too like make up removal items, actual shampoo and conditioner and bliss balls. Joy is a fantastic host even helping me with the internet. I really appreciated the heat pump and lighting on having driven in the dark and pouring rain. Will definitely stay again.

This studio was just lovely! I stayed 3 nights and would love to return. It’s right by the beach and easy to get to the shops. If you’re going to Kapiti Island, the boat there leaves from close by. Even the bed was super comfortable. And the host is very responsive and helpful if you have any questions, but not at all intrusive.

Beautiful stay away

Couldn't fault our stay away. Felt so private like we weren't near anyone else. Beach was a stone throw away which our 8 month old pup absolutely LOVED! Weather and studio was simply perfect. Would definitely stay again if we had the chance. It was a pleasure to experience a slice of paradise 🙏

Lovely well appointed Studio

Lovely little studio. Had everything we needed for our short break in Wellington to visit family. Host was very responsive and even turned on the lights for us for our unexpected late arrival. We had milk in the fridge and a sweet treat which was much appreciated. Fantastic location, and lovely fenced off outside area. Wouldn't hesitate in booking again. Thank you.

Warm and cozy by the beach

Lovely warm, comfortable, private studio near the beach and all amenities. Book in was late as the cleaner for the property had gone home sick, and this was reflected in the preparation for our visit (small things like an empty sugar bowl and near-empty toilet roll). Joy did communicate with us about this though and apologised for the delay. The studio was warm and cozy for our very rainy visit and the only improvement we could suggest is better facilities for preparing a meal (even a small electric grill or sandwich toaster) and somewhere to sit and eat (the lovely outdoor patio was too wet for our stay)
