We had a wonder stay! House was perfect for our multi-family get together. Home was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed playing games around the large kitchen table. We really enjoyed the fireplace on the snowy mornings. One thing to keep in mind is that the loft sleeping is an open area and could be noisy if others are doing things in the living room or kitchen. The host left us a welcome gift which was a nice treat. Host was also very responsive to our questions during our stay. The one thing we did not like was that all towels were to be washed and in the drier before we left. This made it a bit tricky to wash hands before leaving.

This was the fourth annual fall trip to this gorgeous property for myself and "the boys" (we're all in our mid-70's). It's so clean and comfortable that we just can't stop coming back, and once here it has everything we need. Also, Kent is the world's most accessible and accommodating host. We are so happy to have found this spot!

We stayed at this property for a corporate leadership retreat and absolutely loved it! The location on Silver Lake is beautiful and relaxing. The home is spacious, spotless, and perfectly designed to give everyone their own space while still having great areas to come together as a group. This was our third year returning, and we plan to continue using it annually—it’s become a tradition for us. Kent is a fantastic host and makes everything seamless. Highly recommend!

Perfect for our 3 families. 6 adults, 3 teenagers and 2 middle schoolers. Kitchen has enough plates, silverware for a few meals before running dishwasher. FULLY stocked kitchen was awesome. 3 bathrooms meant no waiting! Easy check in. Appreciate garbage bags and laundry pods. Lily pad, kayaks and floaties used every day. Able to dive off the pier and platform. Was weedy but swim out 20’ beyond and was clear. Little sandy area at start of pier. Plenty of life jackets for all sizes. Shopping 5’ away. Would definitely stay again. Owner was very prompt with replies. Great property.

Beautiful lake, lots of things to do. The house is very well stocked, clean and comfortable. Perfect for an extended family getaway.

Great stay

My family and I had a great stay at silver lake. Kent is a very accommodating owner and we would definitely stay here again. We have stayed in many rentals that do not provide any basic supplies, this was not the case with this house, we could have stayed for double the time and not needed anything extra. Great rental and great owner.

Feels like home

Beautiful, comfortable home with great lake view and a wonderful host. Just bring food and beverages. Everything else is here. This was our third stay here and we are already looking forward to the next one.

Wautoma lake house

Your house was perfect but we were disappointed in not having a little bit of beach and heard a lot of sirens through the week. Your amenities were awesome and really appreciated. There was nowhere to park the boat though. Maybe a mooring pole would help? We took it out each night and had to put it back in in the morning. Overall we enjoyed it very much.

Family Vacation

Property is very clean and well stocked. Owners left a very nice welcome gift of smores, beer and wine. Only recommendation is to build some kind of wall around the firepit area. One of our family members did get too close and rolled down into the ravine and crashed intointo the bench part of the deck.. He was ok other than some scratches and abrasions, but thankfully it was not a small child

Great house on the lake

This property was very clean and very well stocked. We packed more like we were camping but we definitely were not roughing it. The lake was very clear and had easy access. We rented a pontoon from a local marina and it was an easy process. We swam, fished, and went tubing. We had a blast! I would recommend this cabin!

Silver Lake Paradise

This lake home is beautiful and clean with fun lake-themed decor! The 4 bedrooms plus loft provided plenty of room for our multi-generational family of 11 - 8 adults and 3 children. The kitchen was well equipped with baking and cooking utensils and equipment. The phone charging station in the kitchen was thoughtful and well used during our stay. In addition to one of the bedrooms/bathrooms in the lower level, there was a foosball table and ping pong table, as well as a closet full of games and puzzles. I was familiar with Wautoma and Silver Lake, having vacationed there in the 70s as a child/pre-teen with a friend's family. I'm glad to see that the area hasn't lost its beauty and charm, although most of the little cottages have been replaced with spacious year-round lake homes. The location was great as a home base to explore the local area and attractions. I Was pleased to see that the Milty Wilty Drive In is still around! We visited the DNR Fish Hatchery Education Center in Wild Rose, which kept our kiddos of 2, 4 and 1 quite entertained. Of course, there was plenty of swimming, fishing and boating everyday in beautiful, clear Silver Lake. We enjoyed nightly campfires and the welcome gift of s'mores ingredients and a 6-pack of beer was appreciated! Hoping we can visit again! Overall, a wonderfully fun family getaway with lots of great memories made!

Highly Recommend

Great home fully equipped for a fabulous family vacation! Everything you need and more in the kitchen! Everything was very clean too. The 4 kayaks were used everyday by the teens and adults. A nice variety of rafts and tubes to choose from to float on the lake. We had a blast and created memories to last a lifetime! Thanks to the owners, they even left a thoughtful welcoming gift for our arrival. We do wish check in was a bit earlier than 4. Also, one thing to note is if you (or anyone in your family) may have issues with stairs please be advised that there are three sets of stairs to reach the lake. There is access to the lake with another step ladder or you can just jump off the pier. There is no beach area or beach entrance if you have small children. The home was perfect for our family and extended relatives.

Home away from home!

This is our fourth stay at this amazing lake home. It is officially a tradition. The home accommodates our family and my sister’s family. It is spacious for time indoors as well as a great deck overlooking the lake. The week is filled with swimming, tubing, water skiing, fishing, eating amazing meals in and out, s’mores, campfires and family games. The ping pong table provides for some heated competitive games too. Full size washer and dryer make for minimal packing and three full bathrooms is perfect! Love this house!!

Wonderful Stay

Kent's place is amazing!! Our family was able to stay with plenty of room for everyone (2 families and grandparents). Kent was fast to reply to communication. We rented a boat from Johnson Motors and enjoyed a week of fishing and swimming. Fishing was amazing, we caught lots of bass and Northern. Swimming is nice right off the pier. Location is perfect. I can't say enough about it. We hope to return.

Complete Getaway

We were dreaming of a place where we could wake up, jump in the water and play all day, indoor living spaces perfect for movie watching and hanging out and a kitchen that would allow us to serve meals for all of the guests-this home had it all! No need to being water toys or life jackets, leave all of your kitchen supplies at home-everything is provided. This lake home will be tough to beat for future getaways!

Silver Lake Paradise

The cottage was perfect for our multi-generational family. We needed every bedroom, and it was extremely helpful to have a full bathroom on each level. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the beach house was full of kayaks and water toys! Kent was extremely responsive, and texted back immediately for all of my inquiries. The only downside was the lack of a sandy beach (we had a small toddler along), and the amount of steps from the waterfront to the house. Anyone with mobility issues could have trouble navigating these steps. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and recommend this property and Silver Lake to anyone looking for a fun getaway!

Nice stay

Stayed with 6 adults and 4 children for a long weekend. Ample space and beds. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Would stay again, very nice property.

Beautiful house and lake

Stayed here with 7 adults and 3 kids. Kids enjoyed the basement area and the adults enjoyed the large open living space on ground floor. House was beautiful and decorated really nicely. Had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Dock was great for parking two boats at night and for the kids to fish off of. Caught all the small fish we wanted and even a few pike and bass. Owner has fast and helpful communication, would not hesitate to stay again.

No need to look further !!

A well stocked, beautifully furnished home with spectacular lake view. Immaculately clean with six-pack of beer, bottle of wine, and fixin's for s'mores waiting for us upon arrival! Kent was readily available for my every silly question, and provided an easy-to-use manual describing where everything was in the house and how to use it. I can't imagine a more comfortable stay or a more obliging host.

great lakefront home!

Our friends enjoyed a lovely stay at this great lake front home. We rented a pontoon boat and had many rides around the lake. House was very well equipped, and the owner quickly answered all our questions.
