Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. This home was amazing!“Magnificent in McKinleyville “This is a home away from home. The beds and bedding were so comfortable!We enjoyed the hot tub and while soaking in the hot tub we were soaking in the beauty of the gardens. I loved the fish pond which was beautifully landscaped. Rented this gem of a property to have space to relax as we brought our youngest up to attend graduate school at Cal Poly Humboldt. The location cannot be beat, and the garden, landscaping, patio, and koi pond just added to the calm nature surrounding the home. The kitchen was well stocked with every cooking tool imaginable, and we all slept soundly in the comfortable king beds. The multitude of trails just outside the home welcomed us to explore. We look forward to our next stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was one of our favorite houses we’ve rented on our annual summer trip to the north coast. I was really surprised by how much we loved it. The Hammond trail was wonderful to have with two children 8 and 9 years old they loved riding bikes to Hiller park which is the perfect distance away for that age. We just loved every moment.

What a beautiful place! The location was perfect - 8 minutes to the beach, 30 minutes from the Redwoods parks, closer to Eureka and Arcata for great dining options. My family loved every second of our stay and only wish we had more time to explore. Favorite activity - Exploring early morning tide pools. And the house - so lovely. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub every night, relaxed on the deck in the mornings, and were woken by countless birds each day. Very well stocked kitchen which allowed us to easily make meals in the house. Probably the best of any vacation home I’ve ever been in. 100% we plan to come back!

The location is perfect, and the home was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.The absolute highlight of the property is the outdoor space. The beautiful koi pond creates such a peaceful, serene atmosphere, and you can really feel a wonderful sense of feng shui throughout the entire property. Combining that tranquility with the hot tub and fire pit made our evenings incredibly relaxing.The property management team at Trinidad Retreats was fantastic and helpful from start to finish. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation and would highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Wonderful stay for 6 nights

Home had comfortable stay and enough comfortable beds for family of 5! This was a quiet neighborhood with a lot of close things to do around the area! The house was clean with a beautiful yard!

McKinleyville retreat house

The pond and landscaping were wonderful! A beautiful outdoor space! Beds were all comfortable and hot tub was a welcome sight after hiking during the days.

Great home base for the Redwoods

We really enjoyed this property as our home base for our visit to the Redwoods. It was an easy drive to the parks, while also being close to beaches and restaurants. The house was quiet and clean, and we loved the beautiful flowers, pond and hot tub. Thank you for your hospitality!

We had a wonderful stay at Garden Pond Retreat! The home is comfortable and well appointed and the yard is amazing. We had a small issue with the property and the property management team was quick to answer our call (late on a Saturday night even!), help us, and remedy the issue the following day. We stay in the area about once per year and will definitely keep this on the list of places we would go back to!
