Excellent townhome in an accessible area near Shirlington
What a great place in an area not far from the highway and the Shirlington neighborhood. It was more economical to stay here instead of getting two hotel rooms for our stay and this was the way to go. Everything is clean, all the appliances are new and in working condition, the beds are comfortable and overall you feel like your staying at a family member’s home. The place is warm and inviting and Tara is very responsive to questions. We’d definitely stay here again.
This place was perfect for our small group (in town for MCM), close to everything we needed and fully stocked with everything listed in description. Very clean. We were able to fit two small vehicles into the garage without a problem, plenty of street parking as well. Owner was very responsive to questions. We would stay here again without question.
The bathtubs were very slippery, because the anti slip strips were worn. One light in the master bedroom is out ( r)
For the rest all was well.
Great place and great location
Cozy & Clean
Beautifully decorated...cozy & "homey" atmosphere. Very clean! Considering the convenient location, surprisingly quiet. We also enjoyed the convenience of the Keurig. We would definitely stay in this townhouse again!
Tara is an excellent host!
The property was exactly as advertised and very nice. Our check-in was delayed due to the ignorance of the previous tenants. Tara contacted me immediately, and was right on it to get it resolved. She came to help the very efficient housekeeper get the house ready for us. She also compensated us for our lost time. She was extremely accommodating and quick to respond when I did need to ask a few questions. Tara was also helpful in directing us to tourist attractions and restaurants. Parking was tricky when arriving back at night, but she did give us permission to park in the garage, leaving the door open since our vehicle was too large.
Getting to grocery stores and restaurants was very convenient. The drive into D.C. was not bad either (about 20 mins). We did pay to park in the Ronald Reagan Building, which was expensive. However, when we figured out parking and subway fare for five people, that was our best option.
All of the conveniences of home without the high price of a hotel. If we are back in the D.C. area, we would definitely try to rent Tara's house again!!
There is a bus stop one block away that will take you to the Pentagon City metro. There is also a bike share where you can rent bikes 2 short blocks away and lots of trails to ride on including to DC or Mt. Vernon and Old Town Alexandria.
