Quiet Cottage on acreage and small lake - 18yrs+

Still Waters retreat is a tranquil, multi-acre property including a small, private lake, on the west side of Metro Atlanta. You are within minutes of a multitude of restaurant and grocery options, and 35 minutes from Downtown or the Airport.

You will feel secluded and get the sense of slowness and peace without having to be out in the boondocks. There is a separate Loft space above you that you do NOT share any indoor space with. In addition to the deck outside your door, there are several trails and restful outdoor spots on the property, as well as a dock on the water, that you will have access to. No pets allowed and all guests must be 18+.

Review for Still Waters Retreat

We recently stayed at Still Waters Retreat and had a relaxing experience overall. The location is incredibly quiet, making it the perfect spot for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin itself is cozy, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. We were pleasantly surprised to find that everything we needed was provided—seriously, the only thing we needed to get was the food, making our stay incredibly convenient. The host went above and beyond to make our stay special. When they learned why we were in town, they graciously brought over some beautiful orchids for my wife, which was a thoughtful and kind gesture. Additionally, when we mentioned a potential concern with the refrigerator, the host responded immediately and resolved the issue the same day. There were a couple of minor downsides. The water pressure was weaker than expected, and the memory foam bed topper was a bit too soft for our liking, making sleep a little less comfortable. Overall, Still Waters Retreat is a fantastic place to unwind, and we would rate our experience a solid 9.5/10. Highly recommended for a peaceful, cozy getaway with great hospitality!

Relaxing stay

We needed a place to stay for one week on our visit to Georgia that could accommodate our needs, including accommodations to prepare meals, laundry and be in close proximity to visit relatives within a reasonable driving distance. This home checked all the boxes.

Cozy and Quiet

This property totally delivered. It was peaceful, quiet and cozy. The small pier/dock by the lake is a perfect place for coffee in the morning or wine in the afternoon/evening. I saw deer out the window and birds (including a large crane) around the lake. Super comfy bed. Kitchen is stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. And the host was responsive and considerate. I'd definitely stay here again.

Lovely Getaway

I had such a great time at Still Waters. I stayed in one of 3 apartment units in the house. This place is comfortable and relaxing! It was nearly quiet the whole time. The lake area is simply tranquil! Aletta was very responsive and made sure I enjoyed my stay.Would love to visit again.

A quiet and comfortable retreat

This cottage is lovely and well maintained with lots of extras, like a dock for relaxing on a private pond just steps away. Aletta is truly a super host. She and her family made me feel so welcome and safe, like staying with family. Definitely will stay here whenever I am in the Atlanta area. Spotless, spacious, quiet, and close to everything.

Nice Resort Feel

This place is wonderful. The hosts couldn't have been more accommodating and the space was gorgeous. Note this is 1 unit in a building of three units. I overlooked this detail when I booked. That being said the space was so quiet I had to download an app to have some sounds of nature to fall asleep. Really enjoyed my stay!

Quiet Getaway

We enjoyed our week away in warm sunny weather at this duplex rental property with a view of a small lake in GA. . Parking for the Silver Comet bike trail was a few miles away. The host was friendly and quick to respond to any questions. The decor and layout were perfect for a couple seeking a quiet getaway.

Second Time Around

This was our second visit to Still Waters. It felt like coming back home. Everything continued to be just right and exceedingly comfortable. We enjoyed our effortless stay and definitely have earmarked this as the perfect spot to stay for ourselves and/or friends should we be in the area in the future.

Peaceful Stay Close to the City

We wanted a quiet place near the city for a family wedding. This was just what we wanted! The house is perfect for a couple with a great porch overlooking the pond and woods. Travel to Marietta was short and the town square easy to get to. I'm a walker so walking around the neighborhood property was easy and safe. Saw plenty of deer too. Appliances were up to date with granite countertop, plenty of cooking equipment too. Comfy bed, big bathroom, sweet porch.

An Haven in the City

We chose Still Waters instead of a hotel for a three week project in the area. Best decision! The cottage was extremely comfortable, clean, and had every amenity inside and out that one could think of for a pleasant stay. The grounds were beautiful with lovely fall leaf color reflected in the lake. So quiet and relaxing. Aletta was readily available if needed, but not intrusive. She and Justin were kind, helpful and friendly. We very much enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend Still Waters.

Peaceful

Wonderful! Felt right at home. Our host was so attentive and very friendly. The kitchen was equipped with all essentials, and extra. We enjoyed tea and coffee on the porch and sitting out by the lake. We towed our trailer; parking was easily accommodated without issues. Thank you so much.

Relaxing and comfortable

Aletta was a very gracious host and respected our privacy. My son and I spent the few days there exploring public fishing ponds nearby and some nature trails. Very relaxing 4 days and well worth the trip. I would recommend this location for anyone wanting to get away for a while.

An Oasis in the middle of Marietta

Our Still Water experience was amazing! The property is beautiful and the rental had everything we needed to feel at home. It is artfully decorated and the porch and lake made it very special. The host is very helpful and accommodating.
