Comfortable and spacious 1150 sq. ft., 2 level townhouse condominium. Just one of our seven two bedroom units available! This unit comes with ever amenity that you need to enjoy your home away from home including: 2 bedrooms, 2 and 1/2 bathrooms, a full sized kitchen, spacious dining and living areas, 3 TV's, washer and dryer, gas fireplace, upper and lower decks and plenty of closet space.
King in the master with bath attached, 2nd bedroom can be a king or two twins with additional twin bunkbeds in the same 2nd bedroom. Kitchen & living area downstairs and bedrooms upstairs.
Our location is second to none! Easy access to town and front door access to Sun Valley's ski lifts, bike path and the Big Wood River.

We l9ve the location, walk to the lifts, into town, or along the rail trail. Unit was very clean with plenty of space for everyone. Kitchen had all necessary pots, pans etc for meals at home. We will be back!!

We've been coming to Pennay's for over 30 years and there's no other place we'd stay.

Great location, but unit needs new toilets

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in unit #17 and the location can’t be beat. The space of the unit was also ideal for me, my husband, our two year old, my in laws, and our dog. However, this unit is quite dated which we knew going into the weekend by looking at the pictures. The issue was more about the toilets that were constantly clogged and really need to be replaced. The first floor toilet runs nonstop and the two on the second level were clogged when we arrived and needed to be plunged throughout the weekend in order to flush. The owner should really replace the toilets so that guests don’t need to plunge every time they use a toilet (especially at this price). I would stay at Pennays again, but would not stay in unit 17 until the toilets are replaced.

I am sorry you had trouble with the toilets. We went in after your departure and did not find any problem with them. To much toilet paper??

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been staying here for years because of the wonderful owner, the great location near the river, and the spacious rooms, however, we probably won't be back due to the way we were treated by the management. She was acting bothered when we called for a reservation, (and yelled at us over the phone - telling us about a very personal problem of hers,, so we felt really bad even trying to secure a room), then, called and accused us of lying about how many people we had in the room (we had a 6-month old baby that we thought might stay home with a relative, so didn't give her a final count until we arrived) and complaining that we were "irresponsible' when she called a full day early to collect the final amount because we had to wait for the card-holder to return from the village. By the end, we felt guilty for asking for ANYTHING, including a reservation, we also felt accused, and were pretty upset about the overall hostility from the manager. She was acting like someone that just didn't want us there at all. It really brought down our stay, and we were anxious to leave. All of us agreed that it might be time for this manager to stop working with the public.

Jane, I am sorry you had a bad experience with me. I was going through a tough time. I am sorry for that. I NEVER accused you of lying of the # of people in the unit. I said we based our rates on the # of people and we did discuss that you would let me know upon your arrival. As a matter of fact I did not even charge you for the extra people. I also suggested to move you to our nicest unit due to the inconvenience in #19. This unit was over $100. more a night which you were not charged for. As indicated in the policies, we collect the balance due on the day of arrival. Not the day of departure. We do this because it is hard for us to track down guests while they are here and also if cards decline. . Your credit card was declining so I contacted you. I did not act bothered by taking your reservation and changed your reservations numerous times. It seems that when one thing goes aray you tend to look at everything in a negative way and not see any of the positive things. If you look at past reviews, I have none of being hostel. Quite the opposite. I am sorry for the bad experience. I hope you find a more enjoyable place to stay next time.

The property itself needs some repairs which I think the owners are working on one unit at a time. Several broken tiles in bathrooms and kitchen that are sharp. Couch pillows had mystery stains. Overall a good stay and a good price. Management is lovely and very accommodating!

Reviewer Comments: What's not to like: on the bike/walk path, next to the river and sublime surroundings all within walking distance to "downtown" Ketchum and jetted hot tub to ease tired muscles. Staying at Pennay's is similar to a reunion in the most positive sense. The surroundings are familiar and relaxingly supportive while the conversation is about Dogs, travel, and family. I LOVE coming here!

Great Location For Skiing Sun Valley

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family had a great experience at Pennay's. Very Short Walk/Ski to River Run base area. Our condo was a little dated, but very clean and everything was in working order. Additionally, the condo was very spacious and there was plenty of room for everyone and our gear. Also had a great ski & boot storage area in the entryway with shelves for helmets, gloves, etc. Cheri the manager was professional and communicative. We had one small issue, but the owner addressed it quickly and we had no other problems during our stay. We would definitely stay here again. One thing to note, the property description says "Pets Considered" But we felt like we were the only people staying there that did not have a dog. We could hear our neighbors dog (and several others) barking at us as we came and went. And as clean as the condo was, when I sat on the carpet to stretch, there was dog hair all over my my clothes when I got up. This certainly didn't ruin our vacation, but for those people who are not dog lovers, or have allergies, it could be an issue.
