Charming beach house on Lake Leelanau. Includes kayaks and a fireplace.

Must book weekly in the summer months of July and August

Enjoy spending some time at this charming two-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage on Lake Leelanau. This cozy lake house offers comfortable lodging for up to four guests. The living room has plenty of seating overlooking the beautiful lake views. There is wall-unit air conditioning and a wood-burning fireplace.

No more than four guests are allowed; however, there is a bunkhouse with one twin bed and a twin bunk bed if guests want to spread out. The bunkhouse does not have a kitchen or bathroom.

Enjoy the roomy yard. Walk out the door to a deck with comfortable outdoor seating and enjoy beautiful sunsets and fall color views. The huge yard is perfect for outdoor games. 100' of shoreline includes a dock and boat hoist that has a 3000 lb. limit. Three kayaks are included. There is a gas grill and a fire pit.

This cottage is just minutes from the Village of Lake Leelanau. In the area are groceries, wineries, a distillery, antique shops, and restaurants. There is a boat launch just a couple of miles from the house. Suttons Bay and Leland are about 10 minutes away.

Your well-mannered dog is welcome. One dog only. Please clean up after your pet.

It’s a great place for vacation. The kitchen is well appointed and the main bedroom bed is very comfortable. The deck has lots of seating and a table for eating outside. Great rental!

The lake view is awesome. Our weather was unseasonably warm. Was able to swim in October. The place is great. Clean and updated. Bathroom even has a heated floor. Next time I would bring my boat. Property manager called to make sure everything is ok too.

Lake Leelanau

The lake is gorgeous can see right into the water. We used the kayaks - water was very placid and peaceful. Quiet relaxing and great house. I cried when we had to leave. Visited nearby Suttons Bay and Fishtown (Leland) Absolutely loved it. Want to go again!!!!!

Reviewer Comments: This is our 5th year at Leelanau Blue - it is our home away from home for a glorious week every July and the perfect spot for our family vacation Up North. It's comfortable, casual and right on Lake Leelanau. From coffee outdoors at the start of the day to euchre and rummikub on the deck at the end of the day, we all love it here. Sugarloaf - The Old Course is close by for golf, and Suttons Bay and Leland are a quick drive. Our son and his fiance love the wineries and trails throughout the area, and now go to Blu in Glen Arbor as part of their vacation. It's just a perfect spot for our home base. And the folks at Up North Vacation Rentals are the absolute best - responsive, engaging and friendly whenever we call and quick to deal with any concerns. We may be biased, but we wouldn't trade our week here for anything!

The cleaning crew needs to vacuum the couch and the brown ottoman in front of the couch, especially if the previous renters had a dog that sheds. Wife also spotted a few cobwebs on the ceiling. Absolutely Beautiful!

This Beautiful Beach House was perfect.Amazing sunsets, lake view, quiet , and so peaceful. My daughter and I had an incredible time. Lake house is small but adorable! And close to shopping area. Definitely worth it and we will be back!

Absolutely beautiful!! This place had charm and character. It was spotless. We enjoyed our time by the fire and outside in the sun. Very spacious lot. Comfortable beds and our pups loved it.

Leelanau Blue is charming as described, the view of the lake and sunsets were beautiful. My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing week.The only complaint we had was the dog and cat hair that was on the pillows and floors.

We vacation in October and are treated to a colorful display that gets better every day. Great view of sunset. Very nice cottage, welll equipped and comfortable beds Well located for visiting the western side of Grand Traverse Bay We should have checked when leaves had max color change. We wanted to have fireplace blazing and settle down with good book. Weather was comfortably warm and a fire was not needed. Quiet neighborhood. Everywhere we stayed on the trip had lowest grade TP ever created. WHY. charge $3/dat more

The house was perfect for a group our size, and the location is convenient to everything up north. We swam, boated, read on the deck, watched the Olympics. The house had everything we needed -- dishes, kayaks, comfy seating indoors and out, fire pit, big yard -- except I didn't notice in the listing that there's no washer/dryer; wasn't an issue once we went shopping, but something to keep in mind when you pack.

Otherwise the house was nicely filled with kitchen gadgets and met all of our needs. It was a great location, especially if you want to hit the wineries. The back deck was perfect. My father has mobility issues and the single floor living was ideal.

The cottage has everything we need for a comfortable, pleasing vacation. We come the first week in October and this year the weather was cold and rainy several days, but we stayed in the cottage and read, knitted and played games, all while enjoying the wonderful view. Writing this review reminds me that I need to book it for next year.

First on Otsego Lake in Gaylord with my children's great grandparents and now the Leelanau Peninsula. This is by far the best vacation rental in these many years. Quiet, so well appointed and dog friendly. This is our second year and we will gladly stay return.
