Both the spacious master suite (queen bed) and the great room area have patio doors to a large, covered waterfront patio. A community pool, hot tub and fishing also await you. The second story contains another bedroom (double bed) and additional full bath. The den is a perfect TV or reading room with double doors to the balcony where you can view the sunrise, rising full moon, Christmas boat parade and 4th of July fireworks. Relax and enjoy the double recliner with console and cup holder. A large, fully equipped kitchen, washer, dryer, garage, desk with Wi-Fi, lake view dining area, large master suite, walk-in closet are some of the other amenities you will appreciate. Incredible Experience at Desert Harbor

No words can describe how much I enjoyed my stay at this house. First of all, Barbie and Mark are world-class hosts. They are extremely friendly, professional, and responsive from my first inquiry of the place until checkout. Example: one time the AC was having trouble, I texted Barbie, and she had a maintenance guy out within 15 minutes to make some temporary fixes until a new AC was installed the very next day. Talk about unmatched hosting and service! The house itself is incredible with adequate furnishings, gorgeous views, and regular landscaping maintenance. I felt like I was on vacation every single day during my multi-month work trip in Phoenix. I enjoyed kayaking and fishing on the lake, BBQing on the back patio, and chatting with the neighbors (also awesome people, btw). The kitchen also has everything you could need to cook/host a dinner. I will definitely seek out renting this place the next time I’m back in Phoenix, even if it’s only for a few days! Could not recommend it more!

Never wanted to leave!

Lovely gated community. Very quite, great water frontage and enjoyed the ducks & geese swimming around. We spent a lot of time on the wonderful patio soaking in the sun and peaceful setting. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were super comfy and we all slept well. Owners are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. Great experience for our first Vrbo booking.

Great amenities, good location, nice home, but cleanliness needs improvement

Location of this home was perfect for attending spring training games; choices of places to eat was abundant and loved that we had the morning sun so eating breakfast outside on the patio was very nice and relaxing. There was also a massage chair upstairs which was very nice to enjoy in the evening. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of spices, lots of pots/pans for our use as well (although we rarely cooked). There is a great walking/biking path near the house or even just walking around the neighborhood was nice to enjoy each morning. I mention the cleanliness because, in our current circumstances, I wasn't sure if the house was fully cleaned/wiped down/disinfected. Upon our arrival, the owner and cleaner were there doing things around the house, and the owner explained why there was some delay, but the cleaner said she would still need extra time to clean, so we were asked to go somewhere else, which, fortunately, we have friends nearby so wasn't an issue. We were allowed to unload groceries and our belongings first, but upon our return, there were long hair strands in the master bath tub and sink. There were also cobwebs in a couple places in the other room and bathroom even though it was known that there would be four people staying. Since I didn't feel that a thorough job was done on cleaning, I used my personal wipes to go over common touch areas, light switches, door knobs, etc. The owner was very nice when we originally met, and the day before we left she reached out. I expressed our concerns and even offered suggestions to help for future guests.

Great getaway location

Plenty amenities and well stocked. Relaxing atmosphere on lake. Private and secure. Lots of waterfowl to entertain you. Close to great bike trails that go for miles: big river, skunk creek, Arizona canal, Grand canal.

Unique location. Feels like home. Great landlords.

This property is unique in that you have a lake off your patio! The owners are a dream to work with and will help with anything you need. Neighborhood is safe and friendly. You will feel like you are at home and may not really wish to leave. We spent six weeks during February and March that went by in a flash. We highly recommend staying here if you are lucky enough to be able to get a booking.

Vacation Delight

My husband and I stayed at this lovely property for 6 weeks. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The rental was spacious, clean, perfect location, and equipped with all the necessities to make our stay comfortable. Sitting on the patio and looking out on the water was so calming. We enjoyed everything about it. The neighborhood and neighbors were so friendly and welcoming. They gave us fruit right off of their fruit trees. The owners were so nice and caring about our stay and if we had any questions they always responded right away. Thank you Mark and Barbie for making our stay highly enjoyable.

Peaceful lakefront setting in the desert!

Enjoyed two weeks at this location. Owners were extremely accommodative. Property itself is very nice, well-furnished and close to everything. Will be keeping this location in mind for future visits. Two thumbs up!

Awesome home... beautiful... just lovely ...picture does nothing for the home... well taken care of...equipped with everything you need.. really a HOME AWAY FROM HOME... It was PERFECT....this HOME GAVE ME MEMORIES THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET.... it was 3 of us in this home... we were there for a 2 training events.. almost said my home...The owner Barbara is one of kind, nice like SWEET piece of apple pie... and we thank you! This home made me seriously thinking about retirement.. and moving from St. Louis to the Phoenix area...maybe Peoria (lol). The neighbor took us out on a Boat ride... we became family...in 6 days...invited us back at any time...No problems at all... hated to leave almost missed our flight .. Thanks again and we might be neighbors Lords will...justly lovely thanks again for sharing....

Great Property, Great Neighbors, and Great Owner

First, the owner, very accommodating, friendly, and welcoming. The owner keeps a splendid property on Desert Lake. The photos don't do it justice. The kitchen and its equipment, dishes, utensils encourage home cooked meals. The deck and the upstairs den provide both comfortable seating and great views. Did I say, clean? Oh, the high speed internet. Is truly high speed. We were able to stream movies and shows without buffering. The location is great... Can't miss the Desert Botanical Gardens... And we had a great day trip to Montezuma Castle and Sedona. I have to mention the neighbor. He made us feel like old friends and part of the community. Just very welcoming. Nice guy.

Great Property, Great Neighbor, and Great Owner

First, Barbie, the owner is as sweet as she is helpful. Second, the property is clean and comfortable. The high speed internet is truly high speed and capable of streaming a movie without buffering. Beds comfy. Deck better than any photo can do justice to. The location was convenient as well. We took a day trip to Sedona, Montezuma Castle... The kitchen encouraged us to cook in because it was well equipped. Oh! About 36 minutes or so from the property are the Desert Botanical Gardens. Don't miss it. Thanks for sharing your property, we had a great vacation.

This was the PERFECT Home away from Home for our Family!

We have had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful 2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom Villa both in 2014 and in 2015. Our first visit I stayed for one month while I was doing a consulting work assignment. It has a great location very close to all major highways in Phoenix. If you are a working professional and need a temporary place to stay -- this was a great fit for me! It has an awesome view and a wonderful patio that is right on the lake. It is a very relaxing and quiet neighborhood. Our second visit was in August 2015. Our whole family stayed - 2 adults and 2 children. The villa has everything you need for a home away from home! The kitchen offers all appliances and amenities. There is a full size washer / dryer and also a garage to keep your vehicle in. The dining room and living room areas are decorated very nicely. We loved the Master Bedroom and very large Master Bathroom with a wonderful walk in closet! Our daughter and son loved the upstairs bedroom, TV room and having their own bathroom upstairs. We also liked that the Star Fire Bay community is gated and offers additional security and protection. We used the swimming pool quite a bit when we were there. It is really nice and private - only neighborhood guests can use it. There are also many local activities nearby -- over 50 great restaurants, a large movie complex, an indoor ice skating rink, Spring Training at the Peoria Sports Complex- both the Seattle Mariners and the San Diego Padres play there. There is the Arrowhead Mall, the Westgate Shopping & Entertainment Venue in Glendale, the Tanger Shopping Outlets and more! If you are going to a Phoenix Coyotes Hockey Game or a major music concert - the Glendale Arena is close by (Taylor Swift just played there!) and also the Arizona Cardinals Football Team plays in the University of Phoenix Stadium, also close by. The upcoming National Collegiate Football Championship will be played there in Jan. 2016. Some of the college football games are also played close by. The Villa owners have been great to work with. They are available to call or contact if you need anything. We would highly recommend this Villa for singles, professionals or families to stay in! It is a great Villa and we would stay there again!

We are a retired couple who lived on the lake for 8 years prior to moving to Vail, CO to be close to grandkids and snow skiing. We love our townhouse on the lake and want to share the great location and lakefront living with others. We are now spending winters in AZ at our other lakefront home and hope that our guests will enjoy the lake views as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We own another home on the same lake and everytime we would pass by this home we commented that "if that place ever comes up for sale, we are buying it". Well, it did come up for sale and we bought it and love the amazing views from most every room, the gated small community, the pool, patio, neighbors and ample parking. We have done some remodeling down through the years and it is a perfect vacation rental for our guests and a nice place for us to stay when we occasionally come to AZ. Our guests have loved the home and often inquire if we are ever interested in selling it.
