Bimbadgen at Hyams Beach - 4pm check out Sundays and Public Holidays, except Summer Season
Bimbadgen is a classic, partially renovated weatherboard Hyams cottage with an unbeatable location and private beach access. This is an older style beach house, however is casual and comfy, with a fantastic ocean facing deck and lawn area. Please however book this property on the understanding that it still retains many original features - true to the photos on the web site.
Please note:
- Between November 2025 and March 2026 the direct beach access is not possible as repairs are being carried out in this area due to subsidence. Access to the beach is a short walk (40m) - Strictly no parties at this property – please. You will be evicted if this rule is broken.

7 night minimums apply for the 3 week blocks below. To book, select these exact dates:

Where will I be?
Bimbadgen is located on the waterfront side of Cyrus Street.
Why choose Bimbadgen?
Whilst being older style in nature, Bimbadgen has one of the best locations in Hyams Beach, and the ocean facing deck and lawn area are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the best of Jervis Bay!
How is the property laid out?
Bimbadgen is a single level house with entry into the kitchen shared dining area. Off this room is also the open plan living space that leads onto the rear deck. There are three large bedrooms that sleep nine in total. Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed as well as a large modern ensuite. Bedroom 3 is the bunk room which has two bunks and a trundle, great for the kids. There is a second shared bathroom and a small laundry.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and Nespresso pod coffee machine.
Wi-Fi and streaming services - will I have them?
This particular property does NOT offer Wi-Fi. If you bring an internet dongle with you, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise, it's best to use your smartphone only during your stay or find a local cafe that offers free Wi-Fi. The Holidays Collection is committed to getting all owners to provide Wi-Fi at their property, but this is still work in progress!
What about outdoors?
Bimbadgen offers a large lawn right down to Hyams Beach, perfect for the children to run around. There is also a lawn on the street side of the house with plenty of room for games and vehicle parking.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
Bimbadgen has reverse cycle air-conditioning system located in the living room, as well as an oil heater for each bedroom. In summer,the home can also be opened up to catch the sea breeze.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
High quality sheets and towels are provided at Bimbadgen. Please bring your own beach towels however.
Parking for cars, boats etc?
The yard is very large on the street side of the house which can easily accommodate four cars and a boat.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Bimbadgen is a not a pet friendly property. Please contact us for a list of our many pet-friendly options!
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property - Easter: 4 nights - Long Weekends: 3 nights - All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Fabulous location right on the beach. The property manager was really helpful. House had everything we needed but really does need a thorough spring clean.

Great location! We loved the outdoor covered patio area. Even if it was raining a little, we could still enjoy being outdoor with a nice view. The cleanliness of the house could be improved. Disappointing not to have a screen door to the outdoor area, leaving the option of closing the door or having it opened with letting the mosquitos in.

Family trip in paradise
We absolutely loved our stay the house was a great size open plan living light and fresh . The yard size front and back were very generous. Bedrooms are all a great size the two bathrooms were great as there was 8 of us .we would definitely love to visit again . The only issue we had was the broken stairs from the property to the beach they were hard to navigate . My hubby said for a couple nights stay he’d gladly fix them

Ocean views
Great property, private access to Hyams beach. Covered deck to view the ocean. Thank you for providing a great property to rent.
Beds were clean and comfortable. Bunks for the kids, modern bathrooms. Ensuite was appreciated. Kitchen had everything we needed. Didn’t have basics such as salt and pepper though. Could have done with a dryer as it was quite wet weather whilst we were there and things stayed wet. Would have liked to wash the bath towels mid week.
