Summary:

Welcome to Seas the Day where it's always a GREAT beach day! The home has FOUR decks we call "Choose Your View!" Two face Gulf waters and the other two face the Bay waters. So no matter what, you can catch a glorious sunrise to get your day started or ease into a tranquil sunset to set the evening mood just right. It won't disappoint! Prepare your favorite BBQ recipe with the provided charcoal grill. Plus, we now have an outdoor shower and small completely fenced area!



The Space:

Relax in this beautifully outfitted beach home that more than comfortably sleeps your group of up to 10. Kitchen is larger than most vacation rentals in this area and is complete with everything you would need for an awesome weekend trip or even a longer weeklong stay. The family room is open and is adjacent to the kitchen allowing the chef(s) and guests to enjoy each others company while preparing your favorite meal. Home also has complimentary WIFI, so you won't feel disconnected during your stay.

Guest Access:

EASY CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT:

It's easy to stay with us and secure too! Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.



The Neighborhood:

TREASURE ISLAND:

The 979 Crew just loves this seaside and bayside community flanked by Galveston Island on one end and Surfside Beach on the other. On your drive, stop by the grocery store for your favorite grillables and beverages, make a pit stop at the bait shop to fill your bait bucket (great fishing in TI), and/or place a call to make arrangements to rent a golf cart - this is a very golf cart friendly spot. Enjoy the Gulfside's uncrowded pedestrian beach (no cars allowed for 300 yards but golf carts welcomed) where you can setup your group's camp for the day on the beach to build sandcastles, jump in the surf, find unique shells and sand dollars, boogie board, shore & surf fish and build an evening bonfire. Or if preferred, utilize the available launch for your boat or kayak or head to the fishing pier on the bayside. Some much to do so little time!



Getting Around:

SAN LUIS PASS:

San Luis Pass and Treasure Island have been known all over the United States for being a saltwater fishing hotspot and the most amazing sunrises & sunsets! It is 15 minutes from Surfside and across the bridge from Galveston's west end and only about 25-30 minutes to the heart of Galveston Island's activities. Most people come to the area to spend quality 'non-commercialized" time with family, extended family, and friends!

The 979 Crew is comprised of island locals who are passionate about making sure the home you chose is nothing short of clean, comfortable, and ready for your group's fun! Every home is fully and professionally cleaned after each guest stay. In addition, all of our homes feature luxury hotel-quality/high thread count on all sheets, bedding, and bath towels which are replaced upon every turnover including the duvet covers and shams (we've heard not every company does this, and we think that's just gross). We take clean seriously! When you rent a 979 home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' guest welcome starter supply of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, tp and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and the 979 Crew aims to deliver on that commitment. We love our island guests!



WIFI/TV SERVICE:

Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!



979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:

All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required!



CANCELLATION POLICY:

For any new reservation, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations.



After that, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less the booking fee.



Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to their terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. Please reference the site where you originally reserved your stay.

First the house itself: there was no closet or furniture to accommodating clothing in the master bedroom. We had to live out of our suitcase. Take the couch out of the master (it’s useless) and put in something to hold clothes. There was no hot water, more like luke warm The upstairs was HOT and you couldn’t adjust the thermostat down. Kitchen: had a keurig but no kcups. Management company: HORRIBLE they were incapable of entering a credit card number accurately and threatened to cancel our reservation. I asked them to send me the link… worked fine for me. I confirmed with my credit card company there had been no attempts to charge our card. Hurricane Beryl (proved deadly) hit during our stay so we left early. We did not purchase trip insurance but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask if the last night could be refunded. One sentence question that was it! I received a 3 paragraph response that was rude and condescending and told me to not call and “beat up our staff”. Geeze I sent a one sentence question that was professional, courtesy and inquisitive. A simple no we can not accommodate that would have been a sufficient response.THEY WERE COMPLETELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! We stay every year in Treasure Island and I will purposely look for a rental that is not managed by 979 vacation rental. OWNERS: time to switch or have a serious talk regarding customer service. I would be happy to forward you the email I sent and the email I received.

Great place to stay!

Great house! Very clean and updated. Large fenced yard that was great for our dog. Four decks - plenty of space for everyone. The neighborhood was very quiet but we expected that as the house is about 30 minutes from Galveston. Fishing from shore or flying a kite on the beach seemed to be the most popular recreational activities in the area. Overall this was a great family trip. We would definitely stay here again.
