Two bedroom cottage has a queen bed in one bedroom, a full size bed in the second bedroom, and a futon sleeper in the living room. Tastefully furnished in lodge log decor with a large rock gas fireplace in the living room. Dining table with seating for four. Full bathroom with shower only. (Some have tub.) Through the wall air conditioning, cable TV, and wifi for your comfort and relaxation. All bedding, linens, and towels are provided. The full size kitchen comes with a stove/range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. It is equipped for basic cooking and eating. Outside on the deck is a gas grill, picnic table, and patio chairs for your evening bar-b-q. The cottages set in a park like setting with mature trees, shade, and lots of lush lawn. Just a short walk to the paved bike path or to the lake for some recreation.

Located by beautiful Canyon Lake in Rapid City just thirty minutes from Mt Rushmore. Easy access to all Black Hills area attractions. Most attractions including Mt Rushmore are 30 minutes or less.
Bring your bikes, walking shoes, or roller blades and enjoy the great paved bike trail that goes for miles along Rapid Creek. Trout fishing in both the Creek and the lake. Paddle boats are available for rent to mingle with the ducks and geese on the lake. Playgrounds for the kids and best of all, mosquitoes are not a problem. Bike rentals to enjoy the miles of paved bike paths around the lake and along the creek.

Wonderful Stay

Our family had a softball tournament in Rapid City this past weekend and we stayed at this cabin. It was perfect for our family. It had everything we needed, check in was easy, it was comfortable, quiet and a great location. Would definitely stay again!

Great Cottage

My mom and I stayed here for three nights while we visited Mount Rushmore and Rapid City. The two bedroom cottage was clean and spacious with a nice kitchen and bathroom. There was covered parking and a nice deck with grill. I recommend these cottages.

Quiet all hours. Deer and rabbits in the yard in the morning. A 2 minute walk to the trail along rapid creek. And a nice drive to most attractions in the black hills. The whole family wanted to stay longer

We enjoyed our stay here, particularly since it was in a conveniently located between Mount Rushmore and the Badlands. The cabin was rustic and homey in a way that reminded me of my grandma’s home (in a good). It was wonderful to have two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen instead of cramming our family of four into a two beds and a bucket hotel room for the same price.

Great location

The property was beautiful in in the fall and we even had resident deer that wandered through. While we had neighbors, it was very quiet and peaceful. The two-bedroom cabin had plenty of room and was very comfortable. And while the kitchen was equipped with the basics but it would have been great if salt, pepper, and sugar were made available.

Wonderful Property Near Everything in Black Hills

Stayed with my husband and our 2yo and 3yo. Location was perfect. Max 1-1.5hrs drive, but most sites 25-30 mins. The kids loved the playground, seeing the ducks on the lake, and the “new house”. The adults loved the cottage setup, ease of check in/out process, info provided prior to stay and upon arrival, and the friendliness of everyone there. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning with the family again.

Lake Park Campground and Cottages provide the perfect location on the western edge of Rapid City for all your sightseeing in western South Dakota. Almost everything you might want to see is within a 30-60 minute drive. Very convenient. The cottage we stayed in was extremely clean with very comfortable beds, more than adequate linens provided, and a fairly well-equipped kitchen. There is an outside grill which we did not use but all cottages seem to have them. There is a microwave in the kitchen but ours was on top of the fridge so, without stating the obvious, it is not usable. Not sure why someone thought to put it there but there it was, over my head. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the water pressure in the shower was great, with plenty of hot water. It is a little tight in there because the full-size water heater is right by the sink but after all, it is a cottage and you make due. The tub did not drain well, which was unpleasant, but you just shower faster. Our favorite part of our stay here was the deer that greeted us every morning and every evening. At one point we counted a dozen coming through. They are very sweet and seem to be used to having folks around. This well-maintained property provides a very clean, quiet and relaxing vacation spot which we enjoyed and highly recommend.

Family of four

This was a cute cabin with a lot of space for 4 adults. Loved the patio with gas grill included. Also this particular property also had a car port. Property was kept up very as well and everyone we spoke with here was very friendly and helpful. Only complaint is the hide away bed had a very thin mattress so my adult kids took turns sleeping on the couch folded up. We would stay here again.
