An Oasis Indeed

We so enjoyed our stay at Whittier Oasis. It was so convenient to extended family we wanted to visit, and the property is like a trip to a tropical island. So pretty, so clean, so relaxing. Mauricio was helpful at every turn in our getting settled. We are already looking forward to coming back!

Fantastic location and house

We are displaced Eaton fire renters. We were very happy with the location and house overall. Located in a beautiful and safe neighborhood with a view of the Friendly Hills golf course. Kitchen had an abundance of appliances and silverware. High quality appliances and furniture throughout the house. Beds were very comfortable and shower pressure was amazing. However while the house was pet friendly it did not have a yard or fenced in backyard for our dogs so that made it challenging. The washer and dryer was also located in the garage which was not ideal and the garage is not part of the rental. So both cars had to be parked in the driveway. The yard and laundry room are in need of better maintenance and cleaning. Additionally what’s not listed is that there is a connected apartment with an occasional maintenance person staying there. So we were caught by surprise after checking into the house and had to be more careful with the dogs and someone else potentially being on the same property at the same time. Our host was very responsive and friendly. Despite the few issues, we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated our stay, we slept comfortably, nice linens and towels, loved the open floor plan and kitchen and big TV in the living room area.

I didn’t like that we were informed on the day of arrival that the entire property was non smoking. One of our man men is a smoker. Then being told the police would be called if there were any violations was a bit over the top.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool and hot tub were fantastic with spectacular views. Mauricio could not have been more attentive and helpful.

Pleasant Whittier Home

This property was as advertised. My family came to California for a week long vacation and we wanted something that was somewhat centralized to the things we wanted to do...and the airport that we flew into (which was Ontario). Whittier seemed like a good location and this house was suitable. The kitchen was great. Two ovens was a plus...we utilized those. They had all the utensils that we would need to cook some meals. We took advantage of the gas grill one night and made burgers and dogs. The dining room area had a big table...plenty of room for meals and playing games that we brought. The lighting in that room was not that great. Because of the high ceiling, there was no light above the table, but we made due with the lights that were in the surrounding areas. The living room was nice. My 16 year old daughter was really digging the massage chair. We all tried it, but she was in it every day! The bedrooms and bathrooms were all good size. And the second story balcony exercise equipment was nice The back patio/pool area was very relaxing. The kids used the pool (although it was pretty chilly in early June) and we all used the hot tub. It was no extra charge ..we just needed to let our "Guest Contact", Mauricio, know when to turn it on. Gas fueled firepit was also used a lot for the cool nights...made lots of smores. Overall, a very good stay. I suggest parking on the road. Driveway has funny angles. Second story was creeky. Overall, it was a good place

Do your due diligence on this property

There is a lot. Starts with communicating with the local host, who did not initiate the front door code so we arrived and stood there for over 20 minutes, at night, in the cold - meanwhile he was unresponsive. House is on a massively busy street - which they don't tell you! Make sure you ask about where the cleaner lives on the property - as it is a shock when you see her door outside the main bathroom window :) We also made sure we told him in advance that we wanted the jacuzzi heated the entire time - which it never was, and we had to ask multiple times. Highest it went was around 90 degrees. We knew we were being watched and listened to on the outdoor cameras - which was a massive breach of security on our part (we have a child with us). The list goes on and on. We left a day early because we were so uncomfortable in this place. And last but not least, dealing with the management company Evolve after the fact and their "investigation" into this was disrespectful to say the least and understandably offensive.

Lovely location and home

Generally, a very positive experience. Just a few issues to raise and/or mention:1. The property could do with an instruction book to operate the various appliances and to get the firepit going2. Although the pool is heated, it still felt cool to us as there is nothing to circulate the water, so the warm water stays on the top.3. It's a really lovely spot but it is really quite some distance from the tourist spots in LA. We had really not appreciated how poor the traffic is in the city - this is down to our naivety but it's worth flagging up if it's your first visit there.4. We existed using Uber and Lyft but that did cost us an absolute fortune.

Family getaway

House was amazing! The backyard views of the third tee box from FHCC and the sunsets were great! All of our grown children has their own rooms and the house was clean and quiet! We enjoyed the fire pit/fireplace and large smart TVs in all of the rooms. Mauricio was very helpful. Loved everything.

Beautiful and Relaxing

The property (especially the backyard) is an oasis and haven. It is so relaxing. Very close to all the things you want to do in the LA area yet secluded and quiet so that you can relax when you need/want. The property is sophisticated elegance with a comfortable feel. We highly recommend it.

Great pool, nice house, but 3 things to note

The house and our stay was nearly perfect, so I'll list only the flaws (which were minor): * No garage access, so your car in the driveway heats up in the SoCal sun. * We couldn't find the washer/dryer. Maybe it's in the locked garage. * The master bathroom shower/tub floor is very slippery.

Family refuge

Great home to relax in between Disneyland, and visiting LA. Easy to find, and also an absolutely delightful garden in the back. Will enjoy again when we go back to Disneyland.

Great outdoor space

The house and furnishings were very nice and clean. There were a couple of small areas that needed repair but nothing that interferes with our comfort or the cleanliness of the house. The outdoor space was phenomenal. Huge patio with plenty of comfortable seating including lounge chairs, tables and chairs, sofas, and chairs. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and very nice. Great views also. The description does need to be updated as there is no sauna. I also had to ask for a blow dryer as it was listed but not provided. They provide one but I had to ask twice. There was good communication while there.
