The cabin is great and very conveniently located!!

We had a wonderful time and would recommend this location for a great vacation stay. I would advise to watch for bears. We had one visit and he came right up to the front door and it was beautiful, he was not aggressive just exploring and we loved the experience.

Great Little Cabin

We enjoyed our stay. We didn’t spend much time at the cabin but when we were there in the evenings, the amenities were an added bonus … soaking tub, pool table, board games. Overall it was a great little cabin. Thank you.

Cute, cozy, yet crazy driving terrain!

We loved our stay at this cabin. The pictures are exactly what you'll find in person, perfect for a family of 4. The location of this cabin is great to go to either Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. BUT heed warning to the crazy "switch back" roads to get there! I recommend not arriving your first time after dark if this type of terrain isn't your norm. Set your GPS before you start the incline or your phone will go into SOS mode (seriously). The roads are very narrow and the street signs are not clear. I'm pretty sure we didn't take the same route in the dark!

Loved the cabin!!

Totally loved the cabin. Private and equipped with all necessities. Everything worked except fireplace and hot tub was sketchy. Hot tub has a mind if its own. Set it on 96 and next thing you know its at 101. We managed with it though. Could not get fireplace to work at all. Tried calling owner but vm box was full for both numbers provided. Road to cabin is scary and exciting!! Overall we loved it and would visit again.

Disappointed with hot tub, whirlpool tub and fireplace.

The cabin was nice, but some instructions for the fireplace, whirl pool tub and hot tub would have been helpful. The fireplace would not turn on and the whirlpool tub didn’t work. The hot tub was luke warm when we got there and we tried to turn it up, then it was to hot to get in. We are assuming the thermostat was not working. We can usually get in a hot tub set at 100 degrees and we couldn’t keep our feet in it for a few seconds at 96 degrees. It was disappointing to not be able to use these things while we were there. Luckily our trip overall was a great time spent with our kids.

Very Dissapointed

My husband and I just returned from our anniversary weekend. I have to admit that I didn't closley read the negative review or I would have thought twice. We too arrived at the beautiful cabin which we was NOT conveniently locate at all. At first we thought it was lovely and nicely decorated. We soon realized that it had not been thoroughly cleaned in a while. Floors were dirty, very dusty, tubs were dirty inside and out and windows could not see through. The hot tub was very old, the jets did not work properly and the lid was waterlogged causing a bad odor in the tub. The TV's were all very dated models along with sofa, recliner, and shag rugs. The master bed.....pathetic. Dipped terribly in the middle and I could hardly make myself climb in between the striped blue 1970 sheets and comforter. My husband walked through dirt on his narrow side of the bed each time he got in and out. All the linens were as dated as the technology. We cut our anniversary celebration short and left Sunday morning instead of Monday. Also after talking to Steve to make sure there were decent pots and pans, they were all totally mismatched, flacking, burned, and dirty with no matching lids. Steve seems like a very pleasant person though and I'm sorry to give such a negative comment,

Nice but......

We picked the place based on location, cost and amenities. The basic wants during our VRBO search were fireplace, hot tub and jacuzzi. We ended up with a non working fireplace and non working jacuzzi. The owner was easy to message and replied promptly but we still paid for amenities that we couldn’t use. The place is nice but needs work. Large cobwebs hung from the picture windows and on the fireplace decorations. That can be overlooked but once you experience things that should be working as advertised but do not.....you start looking a little closer at other things that are not right. The lamps on either side of the leather couch have bad switches and only work if you get the on off switch in exactly the right spot. A deal breaker? No but it’s just added to the list of things. I’m guessing the owner Steve pays for a management company to clean and maintain this property. If they are in fact contracted to do so he needs some better service. We as customers need to get what was advertised and what we paid for. The cabin is pretty and was fairly clean but the fireplace not working was a huge disappointment for a couple looking for some relaxing romantic evenings in front of the fireplace with Snow falling outside. I’m not sure how we should have handled this with the owner other than inform him and he seeemed sympathetic to his cabins issues but it really didn’t help us get anything fixed.

Quiet and Private

First, DO NOT PUT THE ADDRESS IN GPS! My suggestion is to drive into the town of Pigeon Forge and then place the address in GPS. This will save so much time and not take you miles out of the way. I wish it was a little more clear on how steep the roads were. There is no guardrails and much of the road is one lane. Very sharp curves and steep drop offs. We would have still picked this cabin but would have really appreciated the heads up. The exterior is very overgrown and there was poison oak at the front door and in the overgrown garden when you open your car doors. It would have been nice to have had the exterior match the pictures. Parking- yikes! Also would have been nice to know how intimidating and scary the parking situation is. We live in the mountains and were still very intimidated of the parking. I would suggest to get rid of the landscaping that’s overgrown in the front and maybe making that all parking. That would give enough room for turning around. Access was super easy! Cleanliness of the cabin- wow! I give props a million times over! The little details from the way the towels were folded to the perfectly way the toilet paper was folded made it feel luxurious! It smelt so good and the wood really sparkled! You could tell it was cleaned with pride and excitement for the next families use. The porch swing was a dream! It rained the last day of our stay. It was such a pleasure to sit on the swing and read as the rain poured down. Door dash does deliver to the cabin which we took advantage of! There is a large selection for late night delivery. Overall, the cabin is beautiful. It is very private and quiet. I would say it’s more fitting for adults and teens. It’s not a cabin I would choose for kids with a lot of energy. We were very pleased with our stay!

Great place to stay but be warned the mountain roads are crazy!

I seriously thought I would never find this cabin! The directions and street signs are so confusing. For someone born and raised in the midwestern suburbs, the mountain roads to reach the cabin are so scary! It takes 13 minutes one way, up or down the mountain. Although the nearest grocery store is only 5 miles away, it can take up to 30 minutes to get there with traffic. The roads were so narrow and steep with blind corners that I did not feel comfortable driving them after dark.

Was a good little cabin

Was a good little cabin, very clean, plenty of towels and soap. The road to the cabin was a little narrow, just make sure to pay attention. Good location and not far from everything. The con would be to make sure to have batteries for the remote control for the TV. Overall we enjoyed our stay

Cute cabin

This cabin was clean. The bed was mostly comfortable. The hot tub is older & should probably be replaced, the temperature wouldn't seem to regulate. Too hot, then too cold. Driving to the cabin is quite scary at night or in the rain or fog! But the cabin is cute!

We hadn’t been to the Smoky Mountains for 9 years.!!

I can’t say enough about this cabin and our stay, we stayed a week. One day we just stay at the cabin, cooked and relaxed. Every time we called the owner he got right back with us. All you need is groceries and you are all set. The back porch is awesome with the hot tub. The view is breathtaking, you honestly won’t want to leave. We will rent this cabin again and send a lot of our friends to stay .!

Bear Ridge

My husband and I stayed for our Anniversary. The distance from town was very nice, we enjoyed being up in the mountains and away from all the noise of highway traffic. Cabin was nice and cozy, if we ever come back we will bring our children. Location is about the middle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Bed was super soft, my husband is a very large man and slept great. We have a really nice trip!

Better than pictured.

The pictures are slightly deceiving. The cabin is much larger and better in person! I will say driving the narrow roads at night was a little weary but we found our lightbar helped. Hot tub didn’t work due to power outage but the owners had someone out the same day to fix it. We enjoyed our stay so much our 6 year old doesn’t want to stay anywhere else! It was an exceptional experience!
