Family vacation

We had a great stay at the house for our family vacation. The house with stairs and a loft are perfect for active kids and kids big enough to need some separate space. We easily walked to the beach every day and used the cart and toys provided. We would definitely stay again and recommend this house for other groups with bigger kids or teens.

Wonderful stay!

We loved our stay on Oak Island. The house was great and wonderfully located - just a quick walk to the beach. The owner was also incredibly communicative, and despite some out-of-their-control AC issues, did everything he could to make us comfortable, including personally bringing by a window unit when it looked like the fix might not happen during our stay. The home was well equipped, especially with beach stuff, and comfortable for 5 people. And we loved the game selection! Being able to play a family game each night was a highlight :)

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home! It is located near the great amenities of Oak Island and a short drive to other attractions! We also found this end of the beach to be quieter which was perfect for our family with little ones! The home came well equipped with essentials and beach items! Inside of home was beautiful & clean! Nice location- only a short walk to the beach! The homes beach wagon & chairs were used daily & the outdoor shower was a life saver for after those long beach days. We enjoyed sitting on the screened-in porch! We would stay at this home again!

Amenities galore! If you forgot anything, no worries, you will find it already there. So many extra touches to this place. The Christmas decor was such a pleasant surprise. Just a few footsteps to the beach. Resturants and grocery store are just around the corner.

We LOVED this house!! Beautifully decorated. It was well stocked with linens, books, games, movies and kitchen necessities..comfy, CLEAN beds/bedrooms..loved the Google Nest feature, the screened-in porch and the proximity to the beach was fabulous. Peaceful

Even with two rambunctious boys with us we still enjoyed a calm and peaceful stay . Loved how close we were to beach access and the home came fully equipped with all kinds of beach toy , chairs , wagons anything that you could possibly need. We loved not being so close to the hustle and bustle this year while still being able to get on the golf cart and go get whatever we needed near by .

We had a great time in Oak Island! Our beach house was prefect! Furnished great. Everything you could ask for. Kitchen really stock well. Plenty of beach toys and chairs. Inside looked very beachy Great front porch for coffee in the morning. Quiet setting. But could walk to beach in 5 min, really you can. Full moon was an added bonus. We had family in three cottages, ours was best by far!! Street we were on was great for biking and jogging. Great place book today!!!!

Just "okay"

Bad: Had an issue with the AC. It was fixed on the first day. Company was to give us a 10% discount. Discount was less than 10%. AC tech showed up the second day disturbing us for an annual pm check. Should have been scheduled when the house was not booked. Owner called me directly demanding I allow them in. Not cool. The house had roaches. Good:Location of the house was great. The house was stocked well for a beach trip. Had chairs and toys available to use at the beach.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:-The A/C issue was addressed right away thanks to a quick visit from our technician, and we're grateful they were able to recharge the system and keep things comfortable during an especially hot week.-A second visit was needed to complete work on the lower floor unit to ensure the home stayed cool, and we do appreciate your flexibility.-The 10% discount was offered ahead of your visit in anticipation of work needing to be done to keep you and your family comfortable. The discount is on the rental rates and not the cleaning services and taxes. We always consider the comfort and convenience of our guests when performing repairs.-As for the pests, our home is treated regularly by a professional pest control service, but as with most coastal areas, occasional waterbugs can appear. We’ll continue monitoring closely to ensure the home stays in great shape for guests.Thanks again for your feedback—it helps us improve, and we’re glad you enjoyed the location and beach amenities.

Wonderful Place to Stay

From the minute we opened the door, until we left, the home was perfect. Beautiful on the inside, with plenty of space, and it had everything you needed. Fire pit, beach chairs, and beach toys were available. Everyone had a great time, and we will definitely book again. Thank you for an amazing experience.
